I quite often get thrush because OH is diabetic and his blood sugar fluctuations mean he gets it more often. I usually just feel itchy and a bit stingy when I go to the loo. Can be more thick white discharge too.

Thanks for all the supportive comments. No bleeding yesterday or today which is why it's so bizarre keeps coming and going :S

Loki17 · 12/12/2015 10:35

That really could be your ectropian cells then, Miss. That is exactly what my bleeding is like when it flares up. My sickness is back. Threw up my breakfast. Feel silly for panicking now. 10 days and counting until my scan!

MissClarke86 · 12/12/2015 10:38

I hope so :) poor you with the sickness. I'm trying to be grateful I haven't had any. Good luck with the scan Loki, mines on Wednesday so I'll check in to say how it's gone.

PS Is Loki your real name? It's on my list for a baby boy!!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 12/12/2015 10:43

My sickness is definitely improving, but it keeps coming back! I was fine yesterday (felt a bit sick, but wasn't actually sick) but then I threw up my breakfast this morning!

My scan is on Friday. I've got absolutely no reason to think there could be a problem: no bleeding, no pains, and a healthy embryo at 8 week scan, but I'm still getting really nervous! I just want to get it over with so we can finally tell people.

11+3

mascaraisamust · 12/12/2015 10:52

Maybe a UTI Loki?

Loki17 · 12/12/2015 11:15

Loki isn't my real name - I'm just an Avengers fan! I do like it for a boy - I teach a Loki. Having a bit of a crap day. DH'S parrot died in the night. DD is utterly devastated and dh is blaming himself for buying a different type of food. First time I've had to explain death to a 4 year old Sad

redstrawberries101 · 12/12/2015 14:07

Hi everyone,

Loki what a dear shame! It can be quite devastating for a child but I'm sure he will cope ok. I often suffer from thrush like symptoms and I always got treated for thrush but now they aren't so sure. I get this like itching sensation inside (not one that could be reached) so it's almost like it's more irritation. I find it gets better after I've had a wee and it usually happens when I've not been to the loo for a while because I haven't drank enough. I've got it right now actually and it's my own fault, it's 2pm and I've just had a can of Coke. Not had any water all day nor any other fluid. Got no one to blame but myself.

Miss Clarke- sorry to hear about the bleeding, fingers crossed for you. The nurse suggested I might have this cervix thing as I've had spotting on and off too, she said the GP would need to have a look down there , is that right? I haven't bothered
Making an appt because it sounds unpleasant.

I'm having a rubbishy kinda day. Feeling fed up. Was fine earlier but now I just feel annoyed. We were meant to go sofa browsing but having to babysit the motherinlaw instead.

MissClarke86 · 12/12/2015 14:38

It was picked up for me during a smear, they'd just use a speculum and look inside Confused

Coraltee123 · 12/12/2015 14:44

does anybody else get a feeling of hatred towards their partner? For the past three weeks I can't even look at mine. He's literally done nothing wrong but everything he does annoys me like everything even his face! He's been so good and supportive aswell and I feel so guilty but I just feel like punching him most of the time! Was never like this with my lg o was so cuddly and nice which isn't normal for me either but it's better than this! please say I'm not the only one Blush

Mordirig · 12/12/2015 17:37

Kaytee How exciting, I love decorating! That means you've got plenty of time to get the nursery exactly how you like it as well :) the 22nd isn't far away at all!

Thanks Cheery Yes staying calm is good, I'm concentrating on creating my own personal low carb and diabetic friendly recipe book since I can't eat certain foods now and I'll be eating like this for a long time, thought I should experiment a bit, see what works and what I definitely do not tolerate!
Good luck for the 19th! So many of us have scans very soon, can't wait to see more pictures popping up!

Gx91 thank you, yes I am being treated well now I'm under the team so its going as good as it can right now :) Sounds like you've got a lot going on, hope you gave the MW a laugh with your enthusiastic blood! the 6th isn't far away either and it will all go quickly with the holiday business going on.

It was a trans vaginal scan Loki and surprisingly it wasn't awkward at all and gave such a clear picture it was amazing, when she was moving it around a bit you could see little arm buds and it all jiggling away! I hope your hormones level out a bit, I always cry at Christmas films so I'm praying it won't be any worse this year with the added high emotional state because that will give the game away!
Just to add, I had thrush at the beginning of this pregnancy and it also stung a bit down their along with itchiness although not much discharge tbh, the doctor gave me a pessary and cream and also antibiotic for a water infection, after both treatments I felt much better and its all gone now, so pop to the GP and see what they say.

Sorry to hear you've had some trouble MissClarke I hope you get the reassurance you need soon.

Thank you Cookie it really was great to see it ok. Good luck for Thursday :) Your pictures should be really exciting, it will look so much like a real formed baby, not a tiny shrimp like mine right now :)

gnat I do not envy you with your house guests, especially with anaemia, no wonder you're knackered, put DH on duty and don't push yourself too much x

Sorry you've had such a rubbish day Melv Can't you palm the MIL onto someone else? how bad is she?

Coral I'm still laughing at your post, its normal, well I hope it is because I felt exactly like this with my first pregnancy, so much so I couldn't stand to be around him for more than a few minutes and would leave the room when he walked in! It was completely irrational but everything he did, even his breathing and the way he ate pissed me off! Hang on in there and it will or should go back to normal unless you normally have problems then that's a whole other kettle of fish.

Woodsy81 · 12/12/2015 18:26

Hi everyone
Here is my scan pic from private scan today. DH says it looks like it's nose is huge! Grinobviously it's, it's hand at its face (I think). Lol. The sonographer went into so much detail. Did Nuchal scan and was tiny. So relieved. She looked at brain and all developing well. She called it a textbook scan for my dates. I have been put back to 11+4 again - which makes so much more sense. Due date 28th June. So just to wait on bloods and will find out babies sex from that as well. So so happy. Smile
Hope everyone ok and those with sickness start to feel better soon.
Missclarke I had bleeding 2 weeks ago. Lasted few days and the scan I had then was fine. Keeping everything crossed for you. x

Lovely Woodsy Smile

I've got a splitting headache this afternoon. I feel like this week is going to go so slowly in the run up to my scan on Friday, especially given it is also my last week at work before Christmas!

Loki17 · 12/12/2015 19:10

Thanks Mord I'm going to call the doctor on Monday. That scan picture is awesome Woodsy!

redstrawberries101 · 12/12/2015 20:29

Wow wicked pic! My scan is also on the 6th gnat, so we will be scan buddies. 24 days left to it. Not that I'm counting down.

Unfortunately couldn't get Out of it mordig, but just going to settle down for a quiet night now. Been reading some of the what to expect book but I have brain fog so I'll just ask you. Does everyone the cvs test or is that only offered if they think you need it?

The midwife said she would let me know if anything came up in my bloods. I think I might be anaemic as well to be honest. Apparently people with splenectomy need more iron as it isn't as easily absorbed.

8+4

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 12/12/2015 20:35

I think they only offer a CVS if your nuchal scan suggests a high risk for Down's Syndrome Melvali.

FuzzyDucker · 12/12/2015 20:42

Hello!? Newbie here! Due July 9th so 10 weeks today with dc2, my ds is 18months old.

You are a chatty bunch, I'll read back what I can to catch up!

I'm really hoping for a scan before Christmas but I've not had a date through yet :( we've told family and a few friends though because I've been really sick and tired and am starting to show already - eek! I was tiny with dc1 so am a bit scared I'll be the size of a house with this one.

X

Mordirig · 12/12/2015 21:08

Wow! Woodsy such a lovely and clear picture Grin

To all the ladies who need iron, try Spatone, its a liquid iron supplement that is much better for your stomachs and you don't end up constipated on them either. only thing is you can't get them on prescription.

Coraltee123 · 12/12/2015 21:13

Mordirig - thank god lol was thinking I was just being a bitch lol. I actually looked forward to him coming home then he gets here.... It wears off after like a secound 😂😂. Hopefully it goes away soon cuz my lg copies everything I do lol and is always on my side haha she's started telling him to shup and won't give him a kiss 🙈🙈 well that's unless he bribes her with food xx

Gx91 · 12/12/2015 21:16

Woodsy- very clear scan pic thanks for sharing ! Congratulations I know it can be quite nerve racking , and uncomfortable because of the full bladder ! X
Melavi I'm also 8+4 and scan in 6th lol be nice to have a few scan pics up at once ! lol
Hope everyone's doing well , I find it hard to keep up and remember who said what and loose what Iv writing if I scroll back Confused xx

Mordirig · 12/12/2015 21:21

Yep, completely normal! I stopped after waking up from a nightmare about the baby crying my eyes out and sobbing, snot everywhere and ended up clinging onto him the rest of the night.
Next morning he was my hero and it all reverted back to normal.

Coraltee123 · 13/12/2015 01:29

Hopefully it goes away. It's so funny cause everyone's noticing it lol we only got engaged in October so it should be a sorta honeymoon period hahaha he tries talking about the wedding and I'm all like I'm going to be fat so we can't get married for 10 years. Think this is gonna be a long pregnancy for him 😂😂😂

Gx91 · 13/12/2015 08:15

Morning all how r u today?

Iv got a dilemma and have googled it and stressed myself out!!
I had mushroom pate on oatcakes last night thinking it was only meat pate u weren't allowed , turns out none is safe , what should I do ? It's says u don't get symptoms of listeria for about 8 weeks and can cause still birth or miscarriage , I'm so cross at myself for not checking before hand Sad anyone had experience with this or know what to do? Xx

Loki17 · 13/12/2015 08:22

G - lots of people completely ignore food guidelines and go on to have healthy babies. There is a thread in the pregnancy forum about it at the minute. If you are really worried, call your midwife. However, I wouldn't worry. If you beat pate regularly but have never been ill before, you are unlikely to get ill this time xx

Gx91 · 13/12/2015 08:38

Thanks Loki , I did eat it before hand and have never had food poisoning from it , it's just because there's such a long wait before symptoms show so now I feel like I won't know if I have done any damage , wish I had just checked , I'm such a worrier! I hope everything's ok , might mention it to the midwife and see what she thinks , they can do a blood test and give u antibiotics if there's any early trace I'm sure X don't know if they would think I was being a bit extreme ! Was only one oatcake spread Confusedx x

CultureSucksDownWords · 13/12/2015 08:40

Gx91, listeria is really rare. Many other countries don't advise as much caution as the NHS, so the risk is very very minimal. I keep eating Brie, as it's a favourite of mine but you're not supposed to eat it uncooked because of the mould rind. However, the French are not told to avoid cheeses like this!

Shop bought packaged veggie pate is going to be very unlikely to be contaminated with listeria given the stringent hygiene rules. I would just remember next time to avoid, and then try not to dwell on it.
