Kitty - thanks for the invite to return, but I really can't keep up with this thread!! I've stuck to my post natal one from nov 05 as there are a couple of other expectants on there.

Pg going well so far, the sickness has finally stopped, and we had a 3d scan last week which was lovely. Find this bump is hanging a lot lower than the first, and baby moves a lot. DD is moving into her own room next week so I can start getting the nursery ready for the new arrival - shopping, hoorah!! Have just bought a Phil & Teds through MN, so looking forward to that arriving.

I see there's been a birth already, I hope all is well with Callie.

Good luck to everyone else x

Hi everyone,

Havent posted on here a while as couldnt keep up with the speed of it.

Cant believe how time is flying by....not long to go now.
We have everything ready for baby now, just have to finish the nursery and get the cot up in our room.
Baby has been fairly quiet with her kicking, she has certain times of day when she kicks more.

On Tuesday I had the 32 week scan and they found the baby is small for its date. They are not too concerned as the blood flow in the placenta is still okay. The consultant said that it could be the baby is naturally tiny or the placenta is not working properly.I have to return in 2 weeks for another scan.
This has worried me a little the last few days and been making sure I can feel baby.

Shes weighing about 3lb at the moment so Callies was a really good weight for being so early Congrats.

I think thats all my news, will try and keep up from now on.

muppetisacat · 11/01/2007 13:33

Hope all goes ok for you Shanks - at least you know they're on top of things and will check you again. I've got my 32 week scan tomorrow - very nervous that placenta will still be low and baby will still be breech.

Kitty - it makes me so cross when men spout this rubbish - they need to re-evaluate life's priorities and discover what is ACTUALLY the BIG things in life (ie what WE DO day in day out - without which life would grind to a total halt...

What is this whole due date buddy thing? Does it mean we have to jump in as birthing partners if our buddy's original partners are unavailable (probably taking care of the important things in their big lives)?

Hi all,

I am a bit of a lurker too - seems like you all know each other so well, that I was a bit intimidated. But - to H with that - I love reading about everyone's similar thoughts. I've recently had the startling realization that I am having a baby in about 9 weeks!! About same time, I realized that it is getting hard to put my shoes on without sitting on the steps. I wee about 4 times a night, but thankfully can go back to sleep.

So - add me to the baby watch list -

YankeeFish - due March 12th - surprise!

3rdTriMossTer · 11/01/2007 14:06

Loads of new people / people who haven't been on here in ages today!!!

Welcome / re-welcome everyone

Yankeefish know what you mean 'bout the shoes. I only have one pair that lace up and I haven't been able to wear them for the last few weeks all my others just slip on/off!

Shanks313 I hope everything is all okay when you have your scan.

Muppet I hope not I wouldn't want to make anyone come all the way up here to be my birth partner!

Nova, I think I've missed you, but can't work out what the due date for 29+1 is! Far too much effort with pregnancy brain!

Great for lurkers and others ot drop in and say hi, I know what you mean about not being able to keep up with the thread!

sexkittyinwaiting · 11/01/2007 14:20

Shanks, hope everything works out fine for you, I'm sure it will.

Yankeefish, yes we can all prattle on can't we? But everyone is welcome to come and prattle with us whenever they want to. Sometimes when there have been alot of postings and I feel that I have lost the thread then I just say that. And I start from scratch. No one minds, it's impossible to keep up with everthing.

I can't get worked up about the babies arriving until I go overdue, which I always do. I know that I've got at least another 12 weeks to go, quite depressing really. I had a moment today of just wanting to take the baby out and being me again. It wasn't a nice thought.

30+1(boy)

Booboobedoo · 11/01/2007 14:22

Morning all.

Yankeefish - really no need to be intimidated! So glad you posted. One of the best things about this thread is that we're all quite different with different lifestyles, but we all have this one hugely important^ thing in common.

Nice to see Shanks & Novadandypowder popping in to say hello .

Morocco: hope you're managing to stay reasonably relaxed with all this distressing family stuff going on. Fingers crossed for your Mum.

MsMoss: you must phone your HR department immediately and inform them that if someone doesn't go and buy some more chocolate muffins for you that it will constitute a H&S issue, and endanger your pregnancy.

I'll pop onto the antenatal depression thread and see if I can help. It's a horrible thing to go through.

Am also with your DP kitty. When was the last time you went away for any length of time without him or the kids? Maybe when this LO is a few months old you could leave him to cope on his own for a bit: see how wide his horizons stay coping with the reality of 6 kids on his own.

Unlike MsMoss my DH doesn't expect me to be an emotional trampoline (which implies he sees you as strong!), but neither does he see himself like that. In our pre-kid state, we just see ourselves as 2 flawed adults, doing our best to have a nice life and 'do the right thing'. Don't know if that'll change once we're parents though...

Foxy: want to be my DD Buddy? Reckon I'll probably be 2 weeks late (basing this on my Mum's experience).

EDD 3/3

Boy

Booboobedoo · 11/01/2007 14:26

Oh, and welcome back Magpie!

Started a new thread here .

3rdTriMossTer · 11/01/2007 14:37

Booboo lol, if we had an HR department I would deffo see if I could wangle a cake-based incentive!

...unfortunately the issue is that I have run out of them at home. Dh is working from home today (I am so of his job!) but I forgot to ask him to pop out and get some.

He is normally excellent though and I will probably find some chocolate-based products at home when I return.

Actually he is lovely, it makes me laugh, if he ever goes the Asda on his own he will forget to get the essentials like washing up liquid, mince, shampoo etc, but he will have a bag full of sweets or a cake for me!

LunarSea · 11/01/2007 17:27

This will be message 988 and the limit is 1002 I think (why????) - so we'd better have a new one while we still have time to link to it. New Thread
