Rufus Sewel was king charles 2nd in the t.v. series and he was the baddie in thew film 'the knight's tale'
my boyfriends are always dark haired.

It's lovely when they walk isn't it Jay. I had to get DD3 her third pair of shoes since walking at 10 months, cost a fortune, the pair today cost £26

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 18:02

Kitty mine are nearly always blonde or ginger. But I'm always open to new ideas

kiwibella · 09/01/2007 18:45

congratulations Callie and Jon... your news is unreal!!! Hope everything is ok with likkle one and I bet there are two very proud parents. Lots of love x x

hope everyone else is ok - congrats to your wee one Jay . What's the amby nature nest??

hope you come back with loads of advice after your class Boo. I didn't realised theirs were so expensive (they were full in my area).

Grrr at your work situation Lunar. I am really annoyed with my boss who was meant to have someone starting in January. He doesn't want to advertise (having to go through cv's etc) and was hoping to find someone by word of mouth. I am disappointed because I was so looking forward to having an extra pair of hands around and knowing that the children on my caseload would have a smooth changeover.

Hiya Firestone... how are you doing with your pregnancy?

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 19:01

Kiwibella I think the nature's nest is like a sort of hammock?

I just had a good one at work. Now I have a slightly different role, one of my colleagues has just said to me, "msmoss would you mind just quickly calling this candidate and giving them a telephone registration interview?" Er yeah 'cos that's what I'm here to do be your little slave. Refused obviously but isn't it strange how little time it takes for people to want to take advantage?

Jaysecond · 09/01/2007 20:18

LO was 1 on the 3rd January and while i say shes walking now, she started at about 10 mths but only taking one or two steps, its been a gradual process for her and one that i have let her take, i was walking at 8 1/2 months and had the bandiest legs in the world!!!!! I also suffer with back probs and while noone can say its becasue i walked when i was so young , i believe it was. So i have just let her walk when shes ready and take it 'step by step' so to speak!! Today has been the first real day of her wanting to walk all over the place, unaided and without my hand!

The Amby nest is \link{http://amby.co.uk\here

Off to sort out paperwork thats at least a month old....euwwwwwwww!!

Jaysecond · 09/01/2007 20:19

oops here

divastrop · 09/01/2007 20:44

OMG!-congrats to callie!i cant believe somebody off here's really had a baby.i mean,i know we are all going to have babies, but now theres a real life one

cant wait to hear all about it.

fox-i meant does your dd take after you in knowing how to impress the boys

jay-bless!my lo started crawling yesterday, shes just turned 13months.not that i'm complaining.she already knows how to turn on the pc and how to use the dvd player so the older she is when she can climb, the better.

rainbow-i started taking the omega 3 at the same time as the prozac so its hard to say which helped?but omega 3 is good for the baby's brain anyway so its worth taking.i hope everything goes ok with your move.i think my internet took just over a week to get sorted, but that was after much harrassing by myself cos dp was starting to suffer withdrawal.(i,of course, was fine without mn).

moss-my dp is 6 years younger than me.i was never really attracted to younger men before i met him.in the summer he shaved his hair and he looked about 17.we went to the park and he kept calling me 'mum'

i used to go to the pub when i was 14 and drink all sorts, and i never got asked for id.ive only ever been asked for id twice and that was at offy's when i was 21 and 7 months preg with dd1

Rosylily · 09/01/2007 20:50

Hey Moss! Stop stealing my men! Alan Rickman in particular

Congratulation Jay on your daughter walking! Its so exciting when they take such a big step (so to speak) so she is becoming a toddler and leaving a baby vacancy!

3rdTriMossTer · 09/01/2007 20:58

Diva can't believe he was calling you Mum in the park! How cheeky you should have said, "yes and if you're not careful I'll be one of those Mums who believes in smacking so watch it!!"

Rosy lol but there are so many on my list I'm sure there'll be a few left. Poor dh he always says to me "is there anyone on telly you don't fancy??" but that's only because I don't watch much telly so I make sure that when I do there's a good reason, iyswim!!!

Still can't quite believe Callie has had, as you say Diva, a real baby!!! Oh how exciting !!!

AmieR · 09/01/2007 21:14

Jay - yay! that's fantastic bout you DD! ooh imagine all the trouble she can get herself into now! LOL

My DH is used to me oggling at men on TV by now... bless him, oh and he's a whole month older than I am!

Do they do those nests for adults?

hmm anyone here start thinking bout their birthing plan yet? any advice from those who've been through it before? I'd greatly appreciate it.

kiwibella · 09/01/2007 21:22

Jay... I love those!! Have you got yours?? I think I have a million gazillion questions about seeing them for real .

divastrop · 09/01/2007 21:24

yes,i plan to give birth on febuary 28th after a 5 minute labour with no pain.
i will then leave the hospital in a pair of size 10 jeans and go shopping for a slinky dress to wear for my birthday night out

seriously,my only plans would be no pain relief except G+A,and giving birth on all 4's or upright whether i've got the heart monitor strapped to me or not.

whats all this talk of who people fancy???i personally fancy only my dp

OP posts:
kiwibella · 09/01/2007 21:30

diva ... I lubs my dh but I fancy the pants off Robbie Williams!! I wouldn't kick him out of my bed .

TheBlonde · 09/01/2007 21:44

I have to admit I do not fancy any of the blokes mentioned and some of them

My birth plan is...
DH with me, best mate for emergency backup
hypnobirthing but I reserve the right to request drugs
maybe in water if I fancy it at the time
no jab for placenta
no vit K jab for the baby

spongecake · 09/01/2007 21:50

wonderful news about Callie, hope its all ok, and congraulations to you and Jon.

Rainbow, hope its going ok for you. Will you still be near Bath? think you said you were near there, sorry if wrong

glad to read all the news, and all doing ok i hope.

have been to one antenatal class, was terrified as there was a telly and video to watch, but there were no money shots, just women fiddling with tens machines and being brave in front of camera. the midwife moaned quite rightly, that it was a waste of time as the video was 10 years old, and out of date

mw kept on about students and your choice, but had feeling that if I actually made a choice-ie no thanks to student doing stuff- it would go down really badly. i know they have to learn but he thought of being fiddled with ineptly mades me panic now, never mind about when in labour for real

spongecake · 09/01/2007 21:53

theblonde- we wer told that we had to make a choice whether it would be an injection or oral, it was implied to be compulsory????? have mentioned this before so sorry to babble on...

TheBlonde · 09/01/2007 21:58

Oh you can refuse the vit K if you want
random link on vitk

I went with oral for DS as he'd had a long long labour

sexkittyinwaiting · 09/01/2007 22:28

I thought I'd just dig out last year's birth plan

Kiwi, I got a hammock for dd3, they are so wonderful. I was sad to have to put it away as dd3 is a ten tonne tessa and it was scraping on the floor when she got to about 9 months and that was with the heavy duty spring

kiwibella · 09/01/2007 22:34

I am so sold!! Especially for the portability factor.

Blooming people on here looking for entertainment... have posted on the pregnancy thread asking for suggestions about a baby shower and I think I have opened myself up for a pi$$take. Probably.

kiwibella · 09/01/2007 22:41

kitty... did you try the jumper attachment at all??

Jaysecond · 10/01/2007 05:06

Well i am guessing noone is up at the mo, i cant sleep, woke at 4 and have tried to sleep since, but to no avail..my mind is just racing through things, for the baby, for the house, for DD.... grrrr hate it. Also had the worst hunger pangs, so have got up and am now finishing of the tim of christmas biscuits with a cup of hot chocolate!

Havnt read the thread since last posted but will do now, thought id just post and find out if anyone is about! Bet youre all having sweet dreams!

Rosylily · 10/01/2007 05:12

Hi Jay! I've been up every hour since I went to bed, really hungry, baby won't keep still, I'm hyper aswell! wish I was having sweet dreams!

Jaysecond · 10/01/2007 05:26

hey roseylily, its infuriating isnt it, thing is i get up now but then can normally go back to sleep aby 6 then DD wants to get up about 7/8 so leaves me feeling knackered in the day still i guess its all practice and makingmy body get used to the newborn baby syndrome once again. Is this your first? sorry i am crap at the stats thing!

Rosylily · 10/01/2007 05:31

This is my fourth! And ds2 has been up loads adding to my sleeping problem, also dh arrived at 3am and his car alarm went off...probably woke the whole neighbourhood! I really wanted to be fresh today as I'm having a chidfree day off...meeting a couple of friends, hoping to buy a cotbed in a sale somewhere...oh well, I'm going to be knackered..sigh. I saw your link on Kiwis thread it looks lovely actually makes me feel like doing one too now!!

Jaysecond · 10/01/2007 05:37

well babe we are all in that same knackered boat! Dont know how people manage with a brood of kiddies like yourself, it must be hard work. i feel brave having another so close to DD! when i was younger i wanted to have four children, but i doubt my body can take anymore after this one, so twomay have to be my limit. will have to see!

My best friend threw me a 'baby shower' for my first, shes an Australian and went all out for the whole present thing and cakes and balloons and streamers. People bought presents and sat around asking how i was for the afternoon. It was so sweet of her to do, not something i would have done for myself, but the mother blessing sounds really good, i like the lighting of candles bit.... i like candles!
