Magickal- u can usually just call and ask for the midwife , some practices work differently but I'm sure they would help u X

It's quite twee but a little amusing :)

No one would ever ask me to do Zumba at 7am in the morning :)

Eurgh I feel so sick today. I don't usually eat breakfast so I did today thinking it would help but it's made me feel even worse. I think I'm going to go and buy some ginger tea I meant to yesterday but forgot.

I wouldn't tell work until you absolutely have to. I'm not sure what to do I'm renting a beauty room above a hair salon but it's not picking up as well as I had hoped. I will probably give it until just before due date and then if it's still not busy I'll sell it as a whole. I've spent thousands on all the furniture and equipment. Sad

RoTo72 · 18/11/2015 10:05

I haven't ate anything. Have my cup of coffee (allowing myself one a day, couldnt give that up completely as well as my pinot). Even the thought of it tho, I don't feel sick but if u could hear my stomach, sounds like a jet engine!

Gx91 · 18/11/2015 10:22

Beautician - oh I'm sorry fx u get really busy soon ! That's would b ashame if u had to sell it after all the work and money I put into it Sad hope it doesn't come to that X
Roto - one coffee a day will b fine , there's too much scare mongering out there , don't feel bad about that X
Some women switch to decaf , I don't know what decaf coffee tastes like because I'm a tea drinker myself enjoy the occasional cappuccino after a lunch out tho Smile and I'm not stopping that either x

RoTo72 · 18/11/2015 10:29

Yeah Gx91 we need something to keep sane. Lol. I stopped smoking 2+ yrs ago, that and slipped discs which stopped my gym days, I absolutely piled weight on. In August I joined slimming world and lost it all again, when got bfp was back in my size 10s. Feel like iv been constantly depriving myself things lol so the coffee, cut down to 1 a day, stays.(that's on the days I can actually stomach it).

Gx91 · 18/11/2015 10:42

Quiye right too Roto ! Well done u ! Bet it felt great getting o to ur size 10s again X
I recently lost a bit before BFP aswell which I'm glad about because I got into old jeans I refused to throw out lol liked to rub it in OHs face coz he kept telling me to sort out my clothes lol
Will def go bk to the healthy eating a DVDs to do the sm sometime after bubbu arrives X
Uv def earned ur 1 cup coffee a day ! GrinBrew

RoTo72 · 18/11/2015 10:54

Oh Il be back at slimming world when ba arrives for sure. I bought a lovely dress in Jan 14 sales. It was a party dress. Didn't get wearing it last Christmas as didn't get out across the door for 4 months (apart from work) due.to back. Tried it on 5 weeks ago and was delighted it looked well. Wont be wearing it this party season either lol

Woodsy81 · 18/11/2015 10:56

Hello. Hope you are all well today and welcome to all new ladies. :) Absolutely shattered today and last night was the best nights sleep I have had in a week. I am off on Friday this week so a short week which is good. Feel like I need the extra day just to try and relax a bit. Off to see my folks, sister and some friends at the weekend. I'm really looking forward to being back in the City for a few days (we live in the middle of nowhere, well it feels like that to a city girl). Going to see Michael Macintyre on Friday night. Will be doing some Christmas shopping and trying to stay away form the baby section for now.
Booked a private 10 week scan yesterday and feel relieved that we don't have to wait an extra 2 weeks to see our little button but I am also terrified that they are going to tell me bad news. A bit irrational I know as I haven't had any bleeding or anything but with my symptoms being so infrequent if there at all, I can't help but at least try and prepare myself for bad news. Literally the only constant symptom I have is sore breasts to the touch. Must just be having one of those days today. Just wanted to get these silly feelings off my (very sore) chest. :) x

jemimahpuddleduck · 18/11/2015 11:05

Mel how are you feeling this morning?

EllieJayJay · 18/11/2015 12:02

Woodsy I'm going for a scan at 7+4 (less than a week) and I'm terrified as well as excited, spoke to my Dr about it yesterday and she just smiled and said its completely normal. I like you haven't had any reason to think it's not ok, my only constant symptom is sore boobs too and exhaustion - I have cramps every now and then and then waves of nausea if I don't eat every hour or two but I still worry - I am normally a fairly logical person but finding it very difficult not to worry :) then I also wonder at times if it's really happening (which of course it is!)

I think we're all in the same boat X

Had my booking in appointment this morning. The midwife was lovely, and said not to worry about my BMI - they would only see it as grounds for consultant referral if it was over 40. She just stressed that I should eat healthily and keep active.

redstrawberries101 · 18/11/2015 12:13

Hi girls

Glad to hear you are all going well. Jemimah - thanks for asking, I had bleeding overnight every time I went to the loo and wiped, just preparing for the worst. Not sure whether to phone Hosp again, they had said to me yesterday to monitor until Thursday but it is driving me nuts. Just trying to get on with my day. Boobs definitely less sore and nausea is a lot less, heightened smell and frequent urination is minimal.

I wouldn't have been worried but it's because my symptoms were quite strong for the first week and seemed to change Sunday overnight. By Tuesday afternoon the bleeding started.

Gx91 · 18/11/2015 12:19

Melvali - sounds like ur really stressing, maybe if u call the hosp they will get u in for a scan to make sure very thing alright ? If u think that would help maybe give them a call fx for u (( hugs )) xx

VulvaVoom · 18/11/2015 12:20

Anyone else having insomnia? It's really annoying because I feel shattered but then can't sleep.

Also, is anyone else on ADs too?

smallplainblonde · 18/11/2015 12:21

Hi ladies and welcome to the newbies. I am SO shattered after my work trip yesterday. The flight home to Dublin was awful due to a storm. How I didn't hurl I will never know. My male colleague kept offering to buy me wine to settle my stomach!!

I'm having a really hard time sleeping due to being so anxious. It was mainly about work last night as I have a lot of deadline this week and next. Husband is telling me not to stress and I know he is completely right but it is so much easier said than done. I can't wait to tell work as I'm hoping they'll start to cut me some slack!

I was also worried as my systems stopped so I did a clear blue today and it came up positive straight away! Smile I also have a digital which I will use tomorrow and hope that I get a result like yours wanting.

Does anyone know if it's safe to take rescue remedy as I really think that would help my anxious feelings and help me get some sleep.

Woodsy81 · 18/11/2015 12:22

Thanks Ellie. Nice to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. The 12 week mark can not come quick enough. I think all the secrecy just now makes it feel less real along with the lack of symptoms. I just want to shout everything out to the world. Most of my friends have kids but are unfortunately living quite far away from me but would still be nice to be able to ask them questions and advice even if its from a distance. The reason we are not telling too many people is because we have not told MIL. She is a huge worrier and tbh full of drama and would just stress me out to the max - although I put it across to DH that we shouldn't tell her until 12 weeks because she would be so upset if something happened (which she would). Its great to have everyone here to bounce all these crazy thoughts and emotions off of.

smallplainblonde · 18/11/2015 12:23

Melvali sorry, I posted before I saw your message. Thinking of you and keeping everything crossed that things are ok.

Vulva Yes - I'm suffering with insomnia.

Woodsy81 · 18/11/2015 12:34

Melvali - I hope things get better for you. I also think you should call the hospital and explain how your feeling and see if they can get you in for an early scan.

Vulva - Yes I have insomnia, worse than I ever have had. Just adds to the tiredness obv. Could sleep for hours during the day though.

SoniaShoe · 18/11/2015 12:40

Hi all just catching up on the thread (while eating a packet of worcester sauce french fries so that made me laugh when you mentioned them ellie)

melvali i'm sorry to hear about the bleeding it must be very worrying. why don't you call the docs i think you could easily get looked at or get a scan? do you know if this is the time you would normally get your period? you do hear of people who continue to have their periods and as this bleeding has been light for a couple of days without pain, that's what it could be?

i'm surprised how many new people have joined in the last couple of days. welcome to all of you and congratulations - sorry i can't remember all of your names!

youandme i'm glad the midwife is fine about your weight as you were worried about it. there is no reason to be. i'm 40 and on my 2nd pregnancy and have a bit of tub but i don't consider myself to be unhealthy and that's the main thing.

well i've just taken delivery of an M&S maternity sweat top and jogging bottoms and they're bliss! i've got my sweat top on with my jeans and its nice and big and warm and covers my muffin top! i'm slowly running out of clothes that fit me properly.

7+4

SoniaShoe · 18/11/2015 12:42

sorry melvali i did read your post about having called the hosp and them telling you to wait but forgot that bit. but if they know you had more bleeding overnight they might hurry things up for you?

redstrawberries101 · 18/11/2015 12:52

Thanks girls. I'm only 5+4 at the very most so I'm not sure there is much they can do. The scan prob won't show anything and she said a preg test or bloods will still show high hormones yet.

Seems like a bit of a bummer but just got to let nature take its course. To add to the mix there is now also some brown stringy - like discharge/blood. Sorry for tmi.

Thanks for all your support it means a lot.

I'm
Feeling more stressed I think because DH told MiL last night and she is in poor health. She has totally taken it to heart and didn't sleep all night and is totally out of it this morning ( seems to have deteriorated). The added stress can't be good for her. Now DH asked me if he should tell his sister who is with MiL as she knows MiL is upset about something. SiL asked if it was something cancer related as she knows it's something to do with me, (given I had the pancreatic tumour 4 yeRs ago). I said to DH to just leave it. All this extra stuff just feels more pressurising.

Precisely why we should have waited until 12 weeks to tell mil. But he didn't listen and said he would feel guilty if she deteriorated further. Feeling so annoyed with him now.

beckslovestimmy · 18/11/2015 13:04

For those of you with a higher BMI , slimming world is supported by midwives. I joined just before I got my BFP but they are happy for me to carry on with it whilst pregnant. I'm hoping once the sickness passes to get back to following it properly as I don't want to get massive this time round. I'm not quite sure where the Brie and goats cheese fit in to the plan though!!!Confused

RoTo72 · 18/11/2015 13:08

Aw mel, so not what u needed. U have to put yourself first this next few days. Xx
