HopesAndDreams15 · 16/11/2015 19:54

Gx91 if it gives you any reassurance my 2nd birth was a total breeze compared to my first which was looong and painful. Had to be induced both times though so really hoping for a spontaneous birth this time!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 16/11/2015 20:18

I was supposed to be going to the theatre tonight but I just couldn't face it - I'm tired and queasy and it's freezing and raining. Poor old DH has gone on his own and I've retired to bed to watch a Midsomer Murders!

BelOfTheBall79 · 16/11/2015 20:23

Blimey not sure I can think about labour yet! Too scary! Sad

Gx91 · 16/11/2015 20:33

Hi everyone! I did a test post because it got quiet for a few hours and it looked like it managed to go through. But no one replied so decided to check here and here you all are!!

This is my first so I'm really scared of the birth. Is dtd not as enjoyable after giving birth???

I'm very much with you bel a week before this all happened I walked into the living room to see one born every minute I think, turned it off as that was putting me right off the idea ;) but then I think of a little baby with tiny hands and feet and well the worry seems to disappear :)

Hi ladies, glad to find you all here. I'm preparing for an early night, I'm shattered and up at 5am for a flight and won't get home until half 9/10pm. Want to cry just thinking about it Sad plus i always start to feel really nauseous at about 7pm at which time tomorrow I'll be on a plane with a male colleague. Really hoping I don't hurl!! Wish me luck and sorry for the moany post.

Ellizardo · 16/11/2015 21:17

Evening all!

Love the scary vagina stories! It's that or a belly scar, nice choice! But so worth it.

Scan booked for 4 Jan - shame it's after Xmas but a (hopefully) nice NY present.

Summer babies are lovely; best thing with DS1 was it being light early in the morning when theyre inevitably feeding.

Coffee- love your sausage intake story! I seem to have a craving for smoked mackerel and olives stuffed with anchovies. There's no rational explanation for this.

Ellie - diet coke caffeine free (bronze can) is excellent

Gx91 · 16/11/2015 21:19

Small I feel for u hope u get a good sleep tonight and tomorrow goes quickly ! Take some sneaks onto the plane to try keep the nausea away!

Ellie - I had a candle lit bath too and in bed watching I'm a celebrity , might miss the end ... Zzz
Melvali - think sex is still as enjoyable , maybe take a while to heal down there so u probs won't even think about having sex for a while lol your too busy and tired in the beginning aswell lol hats off to u if u get bk in the sac shortly afterwards lol x

wantingno2 · 16/11/2015 21:34

Hey jumping over to this thread so I don't loose you all well I've ate my bodyweight in food the past two days and my nipps are still incredibly sore waiting for the cream to arrive I just can't stop eating had a massive Sunday dinner yesterday followed by triffle then had a pot of olives and 2 slices of toast for super I'm going to end up so fat again I went from 9 stone to 13 and a half stone last time probably will be the same again

Loki17 · 16/11/2015 21:46

I loved giving birth and my floof escaped with just a very minor graze. Grin DD was back to back and her hb dropped. The consultant came to check on me and said 'You've got one hour, mummy. That's it. One hour, then I'll have to intervene'. Luckily, I was able to push her out without intervention. I had hypertension and slow labour. I stopped dilating at 4 cm even though I was contracting every minute for a minute. They had to give me something to help me dialate and it made contractions more painful. They told me to have the epidural as a section was likely because of all of the complications. I only allowed them to top it up once an hour so that I could feel and move my legs and my contractions. The epidural really helped. I delivered dd at 2.16am in a dimly lit, calm, quiet room with dh stood by my side marvelling at what a super human being I was. The midwife plonked her on my chest and she shat all over me!

EllieJayJay · 16/11/2015 21:49

Eliz Has to be Pepsi for me Smile I have caffeine free and with caffeine - I have one-two cans with caffeine if no other caffeine products so half the RDA.

wanting you will not be sorry if you ordered the one I suggested, honest to god it's the most soothing thing ever and can even be used during BF and did wonders on my cracked lips Smile and snacking on carrots did not do it for me today, I've been a pig - I've eaten crackers with cheese, toast with peanut butter and to my shame four packets of salt and vinegar squares, lots of fruit and a small portion of spaghetti bolognaise...

Gx my nightly pleasure is a bath with smelly cancels and products, a bit of an effort to remove the jumper puppies from their prison but as I ache all over I look forward to that bath all day! In fact the other night client sleep and hurt and had one at 5.30 :)

I just spat out my water... You poor poor woman all that effort and she pooed on you!!!

Loki17 · 16/11/2015 22:03

I'll get her back one day. ...probably by recounting that story to a future boyfriend Grin. I'm lucky to have had a good experience. My SIL didn't so she had an elective section with her second which she said was wonderful. The difference in her afterwards was amazing too! My advice to first timers is to be flexible with your birth plan and go with your body. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you have a healthy baby. Ignore people if they attempt to scare you or are snippy about pain relief or c sections. I'm really glad I won't have that crap this time. With dd, people went out of their way to freak me out!

RoTo72 · 16/11/2015 22:12

I agree Loki. My bf was due her 3rd sc 4 weeks before I was due ds. She arrived at my house in tears a few days before she went into labour in tears telling mw how scared she was. I sent her home lol. Didn't need to listen to it. Have to say my labour was a lot easier than I ever could have imagined. Never thought id have been so calm. I was induced and forceps etc but it was all v nice and quiet
