you shouldn't have to be worrying about anyone else, just yourself (that's enough for us to worry about right now!) so its a shame that you're getting this extra pressure from your MIL and SIL. although i should imagine its an incredibly stressful time for your DP if his mum's health is in such a bad way, he probably wants everything to be ok for all of you. it must be hard.

EllieJayJay · 18/11/2015 13:11

Mel so so sorry for everything your having to go through xx I would call the hospital go and see your doctor there must be something they can do, I've seen people post about scans at five weeks - don't let them fob you off, do what you need to do for you xx

Thinking of you xx

for all those who have joined us recently - we have a stats thread where you can see who is posting - where we are, what no baby we're on and when we're due - it helps get some perspective of who you're talking to

Mel I'm crossing everything for you xxx

Jo6526 · 18/11/2015 13:50

Becky that's good to know about slimming world, there was few pregnant women who went when I was there couple of years ago. I think the plan is just the same just more a choice. I might join just to keep healthy.

Jem01 · 18/11/2015 13:54

Sorry to hear that Mel. You really don't need any more stress right now. Regarding scans I agree with Ellie do what you need to do for you, maybe try hospital again about getting an early scan.

BumpAndGrind · 18/11/2015 13:55

I'm worried about my BMI too.

I lost 2st due to HG in my last pregnancy and never managed to put it back on, my bmi is only 18.6.

I'm scared I've got no more weight to lose if I get HG again.

Jem01 · 18/11/2015 13:56

Cravings are definitely kicking in: been daydreaming about Oreo milkshakes all morning! Have half day today so will pick one up from 5Guys on my way home Smile

redstrawberries101 · 18/11/2015 14:27

Thanks girls I took your advice and phoned Hosp. They totally fobbed me off about scan and said it won't show anything but they offered to take bloods so I am now waiting to be seen. The lady on the phone said they will prob take bloods today and Friday and then Sunday. That is after a bit of exaggeration too! I can understand when the NHS is struggling so much but I just want to know either way so I can begin to deal with it.

Being in limbo land is so hard. But I think even after today's results it probably won't be conclusive (unless the embryo didn't survive and died a few days ago and hormones have already plummeted).

My mum had 5 miscarriages, I have two brothers so my mum was pregnant 8 times in total! Don't know how she did it. It now transpires that she suffers from coeliac disease and this can be related to miscarriages. At the time they had just been diagnosing it as IBS.

Jo6526 · 18/11/2015 14:30

Mel do not worry about NHS struggling you have every right to know as soon as possible - as you said so you can start to deal with it! I get frustrated with some health professionals they become very complacent! What they see as something that isn't a big worry can be for someone else - it's their job to manage that!

RoTo72 · 18/11/2015 14:31

How horrible for her. Really hope you get a positive outcome, thinking about you xx

SoniaShoe · 18/11/2015 14:40

good luck with your blood tests melvali. we'll be here

EllieJayJay · 18/11/2015 14:49

We all pay taxes for the NHS to be there when we need them, you need them - don't let them fob you off, so unfair how women are expected to just "deal" with worrying situations like this.

I'm glad your going for blood tests as that will tell you what is happening as the HCG levels can let you know what is happening

Keep strong my lovely X

Melvali just try and relax (easier said than done I know) Hope it turns out ok

RoTo72 enjoy the comfort of those jeans!

pulpi welcome!

Jo6526 think it varies with what GP you have, last preg I was clinically obese at the start of my pregnancy and no one said a thing. Lost 5 stone and now a healthy BMI but midwife last week mentioned I am overweight and need to watch things. Can't win :)

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 18/11/2015 15:07

Mel I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through. The added stress of telling your in laws just makes it worse really. Right now just take care of you, its a lot to go through emotionally and the uncertainty at the moment just makes it harder as you're in limbo and cant change your frame of mind one way or the other. One thing that helped me when I was going through it at the time was someone saying take each day as it comes. Don't worry about what may/may not be around the corner as its beyond your control just wake up each morning thinking "today I am pregnant" as long as the tests say you are still pregnant then you are. Whatever comes next you cant control whatever you do. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it all works out positively. Flowers

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 18/11/2015 15:14

Mel good luck. I will be keeping everything crossed for your results. The care where you are sounds terrible. They may not be able to do much but reassurance is needed & they can scan it would just need to be internally at this stage.

Stom91 · 18/11/2015 15:15

Insomnia here! And all I want to do it eat eat eat! And sleep and eat.

I'm exhausted! I have joint hypermobility syndrome so I'm exhausted all the time anyway. Now I feel extra exhausted

Stom91 · 18/11/2015 15:16

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 18/11/2015 15:28

I don't have insomnia this time but I had it terribly in my last pregnancy so I fee for all that have it.

This time I'm sleeping (despite needing regular loo trips in the night) but I wake up tired. I'm exhausted all day.

Stom91 · 18/11/2015 15:50

Have any of you had booking in appointments yet?

pulpi · 18/11/2015 15:56

Thanks for the lovely welcome, ladies!

Feeling more nervous today... Not about being pregnant but of miscarrying. No real symptoms yet aside from the boobs. But then I am just 4 weeks and should probably just make myself a cuppa.

wantingno2 · 18/11/2015 16:01

fx for you melvali xxx

Woodsy81 · 18/11/2015 16:05

SoniaShoe · 18/11/2015 16:16
