Exciting to see everyone moving forward and symptoms changing, dates getting later...
This morning I felt much more sick so unable to eat breakfast. I stock liked a while a go some boxes of Gin Gins from Holland and Barrat. They are brilliant. Really strong ginger boiled sweet, and individually wrapped so can be stashed in pockets/handbag. Also not totally obvious what they are.

I need some advice : I am one of bravissimo's best customers. 30 G. Any advice about sleeping bras, what size, or should I just invest in another bravissimo pyjama top with the inbuilt support?

Thanks X

5+3

I brought mothercare sleep bra, best thing ever!!

I'm a 36E currently and their large fits me perfectly as lots of stretch and is a godsend was £20 of there about a for two. They also did them in "bra sizes" and I remember seeing some G cups - was wearing M&S bed tops with shelf support before but the sleep bra 1,000 times better!

Blimey - it's worrying to look at the symptoms I've got to look forward to. I've been feeling a bit sick all day but I don't know if that's because I've just found out I'm pregnant so am imagining it.

I'm a teacher - I don't know how I'll be able to get away with hiding nausea. Any tips? Think I'll def get some of those ginger sweets Lucia.

What do I need to be doing now - do I make a doctors appointment straight away?

beckslovestimmy · 17/11/2015 15:16

Bluebell I didn't have bloods at my booking appointment . They do bloods at the 12 week scan appointment here.

beckslovestimmy · 17/11/2015 15:23

It seems a lot of us are cheese lovers! Already this week I've had Brie twice and goats cheese! We've also been invited to friends for Christmas night for cheese and wine. I definitely won't have the wine but I won't be able to resist the cheese! and crackers and chutneys/pickles. Yum!! I think I need to change my xmas party starter choice too as I've opted for the patè!

jemimahpuddleduck · 17/11/2015 15:27

Bluebell at my booking appointment with DD the midwife let me lie down to have bloods done which definitely helped. Think Beauticians advice is really good too.

To those who asked on the old thread about what I could see on the scan yesterday it didn't look like the shape of a baby yet (it does on the 12 week) it was a kidney bean shape with a little flicker which was the HB. I wasn't able to hear it, we could just see it on the screen. Was very lovely, although 24 hours later the normal worries are back!!

Will go over and add myself to the stats list now.

Jo6526 · 17/11/2015 15:33

I'm going to stop reading about symptoms as I'm starting to imagine I have them!!Grin

I'm starting to get worried about how I'm going to get out of drinking at all the Christmas parties/nights out on run up to Christmas and new year! I don't want to tell many people before my scan.

redstrawberries101 · 17/11/2015 15:40

I've had no symptoms apart from
exhaustion since yesterday and seem to have a lot of browny discharge :( tmi sorry.

redstrawberries101 · 17/11/2015 15:42

I've got some bleeding too :( just when I wipe

EllieJayJay · 17/11/2015 16:06

Try not to worry Mel, but if you are call NHS helpline, I've seen lots on my google rounds that brown discharge and some spitting is quite normal... Maybe some of the other ladies can help.

Jo I've been avoiding nights out with work people, but am just going to have tonic water when the Christmas party comes around - or just say I'm not in the mood / antibiotics or I might even start telling them I have cystitis or that I'm still recovering from my boob job ;) that will make em shut it... No seriously I'm just going to have tonic water, becks blue in a glass

Spotting not spitting... Having a Hazay afternoon

Jo6526 · 17/11/2015 16:11

Elliejayjay that's a great idea! I've counted I have to get out of 7 events that I would normally be drinking at! Two are nights away but can probably get away with tonic water.

When are you all telling family/friends?

EllieJayJay · 17/11/2015 16:15

Looking in my book it says no to sprouts... Thought hooray no more of those yucky green things

It was sprout sprouts, bean sprouts and Alfa sprouts but only raw ones - apparently they harbour bacteria.

Bean sprouts from the Chinese are one my favourite things in the world :) green ones Envy and am struggling like mad with a sick feeling in my cheeks this afternoon

mel if it gets any worse give your surgery a ring. Even if it puts your mind at rest. Rest up :) like others said it is probably nothing Brew

EllieJayJay · 17/11/2015 16:21

I changed my birthday plans (week after we found out) so it was just me, DP and my mum - so told her as she would have guessed straight away as I usually have Brie in place of a birthday cake, drink champagne by the gallon and smoked... Plus I am usually a night owl and I can't keep my eyes open past 9pm So that was nice as didn't have to pretend

I recently moved to a new town and don't know many people yet here as my job changed to be back in central London (4 hour round trip) I work from a home a lot so dont see people very often or my friends are associated with work - comes from being married to your career (something I'd drop now happily) so when I do see friends I just say I have an early meeting next day and don't want to get drunk or feel a bit of colour :) or that I'm taking a month off before the Christmas parties start :)

Melvani I think I have mentioned before that I had brown/pink discharge when pregnant first time round and all was fine. It lasted a couple of days then never came back. I did go to my GP though who sent me for a reassurance scan so may be worth seeing if that's an option.

Fingers crossed all is ok, from things I've read brown/pink is usually ok but red is more of a concern.

RoTo72 · 17/11/2015 16:38

Talking of cheese, I had cheese on toast for lunch (boring cheddar), had a nap and woke up nauseous. That's another thing off the list! Think Il get camembert and bake it with breadsticks for my weekend treat watching cack-factor, since my pinot is off the cards now for the next lot of months

RoTo72 · 17/11/2015 16:38

Mel I had some light spotting last week. Went away again. Hope everything goes ok x

Gx91 · 17/11/2015 16:39

Afternoon ladies been scanning they all the posts !
And forgotten a few of the topics ....
I remember the cheese talk tho bcoz I also love cheese Brie Stilton and Camembert r the favourites lol think it's only ok to eat if it's been heated, so u had a cooked breaded Camembert for a starter last Friday lol mmmmm
Trying not to indulge in to much cheese tho as that's my weakness and I put on loads of weight lol X
Good luck to all those going for their scans , I haven't got a date yet but so excited !
Symptoms r still on a down low just achy nipples , back pain and tired slight depression and anxiety sometimes but I know it's just hormones X
Oh yeah .. I remember the dream chat now lol pregnancy is bound to make u have crazy dreams - I used to have the recurring dream I was giving birth to multiples ! They just popped out it was easy lol only had 1 in there tho lol xxx

redstrawberries101 · 17/11/2015 17:00

Thanks girls. I had discharge first and then watery red blood. Phoned the early maternity unit who said to wait 48 hours and see if it settles, after which they can do blood test and scan. She said it's common in week 5/ week 6 and there would be no point testing just yet if bleeding had just started as hormones will still be high. Pray for me!

RoTo72 · 17/11/2015 17:11

Will do. I was 6 weeks last week when it happened to me. Xxxx

Gx91 · 17/11/2015 17:12

Melvali will b praying for u X
I think if it's just a little bit not to worry hormones can cause the bleeding , hopefully it settles down soon X
Some woman continue to have their period every month while pregnant and have normal healthy babies it just depends on your body X

wantingno2 · 17/11/2015 17:38

ow god praying for you melvali one of my friends is nine weeks pregnant and she had bleeding on Saturday she got scanned today and all is fine I think it's pretty common although very worrying for you i hope all is well fx for you xx

photographerlady · 17/11/2015 17:40

EllieJayJay sleep bra sounds like a great idea

jemimahpuddleduck sounds like a good scan but yeah I was the same days after my eight week scan last pregnancy.

Melvali hope it disappears and things work out fine.

I am still living on fruit, toast and bland sandwiches. Really wish my seabands would arrive

Vickie360 · 17/11/2015 17:59

Melvali sending positive thoughts and hugs xx
