Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
crazycatlady39 · 23/11/2015 15:26

Thanks Ellizardo and gnat99 - it wasn't the midwife, just the nurse at the dr surgery, so hopefully I won't see her again. I was expecting a 2 min appt with her since most people said they didn't get anything out of their drs so was shocked at how she went on. Things are still settled and I just have the usual cramps and soreness so fingers crossed it was just my body settling. I didn't tell my boyfriend about it all (inc the bleeding) until I called him on the way back from the nurse and he was great - definitely talked me out of getting too panicked. Going to try the gym this morning and hope that gives me some energy! Thanks all!

gnat99 · 23/11/2015 15:27

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better about it all Crazycat. Enjoy the gym!

pulpi · 23/11/2015 16:01

Just catching up now (on break at work).

Roto, so sorry for your loss.

wantingno2 · 23/11/2015 17:03

So I phoned the doctors for my blood results and the receptionist was extremely rude I told her the doctor said 2 days it takes for the bloods to come back she actually laughed down the phone at me and said no its 5-7 days I was so annoyed so have to ring back on Wednesday

Jw35 · 23/11/2015 17:11

Some of you ladies were on the November testers thread. Just letting you all know I'm on an August one as in August 3rd! Happy and healthy 9 months to you all :)

SoniaShoe · 23/11/2015 17:13

Oh roto I'm so shocked and sorry to hear your news. I hope you're being looked after and take care of yourself now. I understand your decision, I'm 40 and I know if it didn't work out for me I would keep trying and just enjoy my DD. But you don't have to decide that now when you're grieving.

SoniaShoe · 23/11/2015 17:14

*wouldn't keep trying, not would...

mascaraisamust · 23/11/2015 17:15

Sorry lucky and roto for your losses. It's a horrible place to be and it will take time. Look after yourselves and take comfort in your families.x

I'm feeling rather symptomless and I hate it Hmm so paranoid after the last mc that I'll not get past the 8 week point. Need some positivity today! I'm less sore, feel absolutely fine. When did sickness kick in for people? I'm 5+2 and apart from a slight wave of nausea 2 days ago ive had nothing. Still ttc #1 so all is pretty new. Had no sickness with my last that I mc and I can't help but compare symptoms. Had some pretty sharpish shooting pains near my ovaries that have scared me bit not sure if this is normal, actually made me stop in my tracks!

Gx91 · 23/11/2015 17:25

Wantingtono- how rude of the receptionist what a bitch , same u have to wait til Wednesday now , the wait is the worst but just try keep yourself occupied until then X
Mascara - don't worry about lack of symptoms I'm sure they will hit u soon , try and enjoy it !
I'm waiting for mine to kick in too as will b 6 weeks tomorrow , it's ages away til my booking app 11th Dec , wish it was sooner as I'm starting to forget I'm even pregnant !
Got pain at the bottom of my bk today and bum cheek , Duno what that's all about Hmm X

Vickie360 · 23/11/2015 17:35

Hi mascaraisamust I wouldn't worry about systems as everyone is different I've had nauseous all day since I found out and I'm 5+5 but I had it with with mc and ep so I don't think they mean a lot! Smile

mascaraisamust · 23/11/2015 17:43

Thanks Vickie and gx, think I just need telling!

I'm like you gx, forgetting I'm actually pregnant here! Oh well no spotting so that's something at least!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 23/11/2015 17:50

mack Brentwood so not too far. Just weighing up the local hospital options at the mo it's all a bit of a mine field

Loki17 · 23/11/2015 18:03

Mascara - im having an 'I don't feel pregnant' day today. I have felt less sick for the last 2 days and my boobs felt fine today until I took my bra off. Thst, combined with twinges and aches make me worry too. Although I'm eating spinach and ricotta cannelloni with garlic nan bread, so perhaps my symptoms are taking a different form today. Smile

mackinnonka · 23/11/2015 18:14

Allthegood - def agree on it being a minefield! I'm hoping to opt for Broomfield, but may have to go for Basildon if my gp has met its yearly quota for referrals to Broomfield already...

MissClarke86 · 23/11/2015 18:31

Hi guys. How have everyone else's partners reacted? Mine is still in shock and being very quiet, it's freaking me out a bit. Only told him Friday but it would be nice if he could be vaguely excited....he's never been against having children but would never have said he was 'ready' unless id wanted it and it's happened very soon for us. Just want him to be happy but I can't read him at the mo and don't want to stress him out more!

lilygirl81 · 23/11/2015 18:35

Missclarke my DH is happy, but a bit surprised, I said it would probably take us a year, and probably some interventions, so for it to happen on month 4 was a bit of a shock

wantingno2 · 23/11/2015 18:35

The wait is definitely the worst part gx91 I just can't wait to have my first scan going to ring in the morning and book it hopefully these blood results will be okay the first few weeks of pregnancy are like the 2ww (limbo land) and never ending symptom spotting lol

mascaraisamust · 23/11/2015 18:38

My DH is more nervous than I am after last time. He has already been on the phone asking if I've had any spotting, what's my tummy feel like, have I felt sick today... He wants this so much too. When I tell him I feel fine and don't have many symptoms be just sighs, bless him.

Loki interesting food choice, not my cup of tea right now though. Didn't enjoy my pizza I just had, a lazy tea admittedly!

mascaraisamust · 23/11/2015 18:41

Ahh wantingno2, you are so right, it is like an extended 2ww... Another 3 weeks to go before my early scan. Soooo impatient!

AndIAskMyself · 23/11/2015 18:55

Roto and lucky, I'm so sorry for your losses Flowers Flowers

Checking in today to say thank you so much for everyone's responses on Friday. I still don't have many symptoms, but it's encouraging to know so many of you at the same stage feel the same way. So I'm not reading into it.

I do feel a little different now - my boobs feel like bowling balls. But not many other symptoms besides. Though I had sort of period pain feelings at the weekend. But no period. I think this is normal.

Have been thinking about whether to have a private scan the week before Xmas. But not sure if my DP thinks it's worth it. Is anyone else going to get one?

Loki17 · 23/11/2015 19:15

I'm having a private scan the week before Christmas so I can tell everyone on Christmas day!

mascaraisamust · 23/11/2015 19:37

Same the 19th Wink £35 x

Bluebell20 · 23/11/2015 19:39

MissClarke86, my DH was very unexcited to begin with as well - we had a massive barney about his reaction, as I was hurt by it. However, as the weeks have rolled on he has really warmed up, and has instigated us telling several of our nearest and dearest, which has cheered me up immensely. I think it takes time for the blokes!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 23/11/2015 20:21

I'm so so tired today. I have to go to London for work tomorrow. For the day. From Scotland. On the train. Over 9 hours in total on the train. I'm absolutely dreading it - I am lucky enough to live very near work, so I've been going in earlyish and leaving at 4 so I can get home and have a nap! I don't know how I will get through it, especially since I will be with my boss on the train so can't even just sleep!

MrsNikiC · 23/11/2015 20:29

I think my partner and I were just as shocked as each other. We'd said we'd stop using protection and see how we got on. Turns out it took us a grand total of a week. I actually think he was more excited than me. Took me the first 3-4 weeks to get over the shock!!! Both very excited now Smile
