Not sure I understand the question

EllieJayJay · 22/11/2015 17:32

I googled it :) was intrigued it seems quite common in Google land so would guess it's normal :)

Thanks Ellie I googled it too but couldn't find much. I think I'll ask the midwife tomorrow as well just to double check. Blush

beckslovestimmy · 22/11/2015 18:06

Beaut I seem to have had this but don't remember it with my first. I just assumed it was normal Confused

beckslovestimmy · 22/11/2015 18:14

Feline I'm a nurse too. I've told one close friend at work and my line manager and asked them to keep it to themselves. I think others have already guessed because I've been so sick and I'm never ill. I'll probably just tell people as the need arises at work. I'll be 10weeks when I go back after my holiday. I think the biggest giveaway is that I've been absent from social events that I'd already said I was going too. I have a bit of a reputation as a party animal and liking a drink!

So far we've kept it from our family, I keep thinking my mums guessed but I'm not sure. I'm hoping to hold out to xmas day!!

Loki17 · 22/11/2015 18:17

I went to my mum and dads for dinner today and spent the whole morning worrying that dad might make me something with goats cheese or brie. I'm veggie so dad usually goes all out. Thankfully, he made me a halloumi thing so I could relax. Had to avoid mums mashed potatoes though as she cracks a raw egg into them along with butter before creaming. I'll be glad when we can just tell them!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 22/11/2015 18:18

Becks it probably is normal it's just not the norm to me having never experienced it before in pregnancy. I have a list of questions for the poor midwife tomorrow haha.

BelOfTheBall79 · 22/11/2015 18:36

Hi all, has anyone noticed any changes in their skin? The skin under my eyebrows and just around them has got really dry. I have had it for a while, since I started my IVF drugs, so I thought it might be something to do with that. Have been using extra moisturiser, and also Vaseline there but nothing is helping. It's awful, looks really flaky. Any ideas? Maybe Beautician you'll have some good advice?

Apart from that have felt better with my morning sickness today. A friend visited this weekend (also pregnant, a few months further on) and I started crying when she left! It was so lovely to see her but I wouldn't normally get so emotional...

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 22/11/2015 18:49

Bel as its close to your eyes try a gentle facial exfoliant. Dermalogica daily microfoliant is fab. Then you a rich moisturiser. This time of year you need a much richer moisturiser anyway. Just put a little on that area. It could be medication/ hormone related but it's more likely being out in the cold and then coming in to central heating x

Grr my message didn't send this morning.

Welcome newbies !
Welcome mordirig and that's similar to mine, mine will be 7 & 3.5 in the summer. We aren't telling our families until after scan/at Xmas as MiL has cancer and we don't want to excite her with news if anything were to happen.

So relieved so many others are talking about the wind situation! Even my DDs have picked up on how bad mine has been!
Hope you feel better tomorrow sonia some days are deffo worse aren't they! Lots of DVDs!!
Crossing my fingers you get your scan in before Christmas beautician I'm going to say the same to mine this week!

Hope everything is ok thistledew it doesn't sound bad news and sounds still normal. EPU might take some bloods and test your levels.. Maybe give someone a ring tomorrow if you are worried or have anymore symptoms? Worth a mention that when I had some slight bleeding in previous preg I just went straight to A&E and was booked in with EPU the following mon! They can't turn you away.
Thinking of you roto keeping everything crossed for you

It's funny how men quickly switch off isn't it! Lol. It's because they aren't experiencing all the ups and downs, aches and pains lol

Quite personal but my sex drive has totally gone since finding out I was expecting, think we have only dtd once, I'm just not interested at all and I feel really dry down there :( anyone else experiencing this?

It's the furthest thing from my mind. Poor oh hasn't got a look in from I found out.

redstrawberries101 · 22/11/2015 20:00

Glad it's not only me!

BergamotMouse · 22/11/2015 20:05

I feel that I could happily not have sex for the foreseeable future but we dtd this morning despite waking up with a headache as I've made various excuses for the last few days. We were have sex every other day last month when TTC so DH will have hit the ground with a bit of a bump.

I'm now in bed exhausted ready to sleep. I've decided not to fight it after falling asleep in front of the TV at 7pm for the last 2 nights. Hopefully I won't wake up at 4am as a result.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 22/11/2015 20:25

Until this morning we hadn't had sex since the conception (so about 6 weeks) Blush I just haven't been able to face it.

I can't honestly say I enjoyed it much - after all the cervical issues I've had I was worried I might bleed afterwards, and I did feel quite dry. But it was OK, and now we've done it once it should be easier to do it again!

Bluebell20 · 22/11/2015 20:37

Oh guys, so glad to hear it's not just me! I have never had to buy lube before, but let's just say it was a necessity... I ended up ordering some 'Woohoo' organic lube from Boots (couldn't believe the crap that was in ordinary lube). Not had a chance to try it out yet because I just do not feel in the mood in the slightest, even though I really want to be.

lilygirl81 · 22/11/2015 20:37

We haven't dtd since conception either, feel very guilty about it, but I'm paranoid about hitting the cervix. I'm going to chat to the midwife if I get to see her this week, although I guess for me it's only been 3 weeks, so could be worse.

redstrawberries101 · 22/11/2015 20:47

I've just been to the loo and passed a black jelly like substance Sad sort of with tiny clots. Will phone EPU in the morning but it's in line with the sharp pains I experienced during the night and this morning.

roseinwonderland · 22/11/2015 20:50

Ladies with windy problems - maybe try peppermint tea? It's good for bloating/wind in general. It might help!

We've told all our family already Blush We're a big, very close family. Everyone knows we've been trying for so long so it's usually the first thing they ask! So all parents and siblings know. And quite a few of my friends too. I live in a village and see most of them every day so it was hard to hide the sickness and bloating that's made me look about 4 months gone already! I am so crap at keeping secrets!

Sorry there's so many names here and I've forgotton who said they were taking the progesterone! Began with an M maybe? I don't know if I'm on progesterone pessaries or a placebo, but my bleeding stopped as soon as I started using them. So it's looking good so far.

redstrawberries101 · 22/11/2015 20:54

It was me who asked if anyone was doing the trial, I was offered it last week after spotting but wasn't sure whether to go for it. That sounds really promising.

Jo6526 · 22/11/2015 20:56

Aw Mel I was hoping everything had settled with you. Xx

redstrawberries101 · 22/11/2015 21:00

I know! So was I! Maybe it's just not meant to be. I must admit had they picked up a heartbeat at the ultrasound on Friday I would have felt reassured. They did say it's quite early to pick it up at 5-6 weeks.

roseinwonderland · 22/11/2015 21:16

Melvali I was very unsure at first. I don't even like taking paracetamol! But I did a lot of reading up and it's a very common thing to be prescribed in USA and Australia if you are bleeding early on. And there's no reported side effects of taking more progesterone if your levels are normal. So I thought why not. Bleeding early on is just horrible and so stressful. I was bleeding for over a week, it kept coming and going, red to brown and back again. I honestly thought it was all over. But you would be amazed at what your body can go through and that little bean still stays put. Sending lots of love your way.
