Mel I really hope it isn't anything too bad, did you keep it to show the EPU (but disgusting but might help)

Has anyone else found allergies getting worse? I have a very low allergy to dogs, but I'm suffering badly. Thankfully Dr Google has said the tablets I have for hay fever are fine in pregnancy, so hopefully that will calm it down.

I have only told my best friend, and DH hasn't told anyone, going to try and keep it until Christmas. I'll only be 9 weeks, but should be getting a 5 week and an 8 week scan I think given my history, so provided things look ok at the 8 week, it should be ok.

redstrawberries101 · 22/11/2015 21:51

It's disgusting but I took a picture

RoTo72 · 22/11/2015 22:09

Oh Mel, hopefully it will just be leftover blood from ur earlier bleeding

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/11/2015 07:29

We have dtd once since finding out. I am so tired all the time I don't have the energy & zero sex drive.

Mel fx for you this morning. Get straight on to EPU. Hopefully you will get seen this morning. Thinking of you.

I have the midwife today. Strangely excited as it feels like a bit of a milestone.

lilygirl81 · 23/11/2015 08:15

Beautician getting to the midwife seems like a milestone to me too, I've twice had to cancel due to a loss, but going to arrange an appointment today, excited but terrified I'll jinx it.

I did a clear blue with the week's indicator this morning and it came up 2-3 weeks. Since I am sure conception was on 5 November, that sounds about right to me, which has been a surprising relief.

Does anyone else have giant boobs generally? I have one soft cup bra, but went on the hunt for some cheaper ones, and couldn't find any above a G. The one I have is a 36HH, but it was really expensive(from bravissimo a few months back when I was getting prepared).

SoniaShoe · 23/11/2015 08:21

Good luck today roto and others going to EPU or scans

Somnambulator · 23/11/2015 08:40

Good luck to all those going to EPU or going for scans, hope you get the reassurance that everything is okay.

lilygirl I think we basically conceived on the same day, so look forward to hearing your updates :)

Has anyone ever booked private US scans before? I was considering booking one of for the end of week 6.....

Somnambulator · 23/11/2015 08:42

I also got my 2-3 weeks indicator this weekend. Although I've been told not to get too hung up on those tests as incorrect weeks displayed has caused a lot of worry to a lot of mums.

Somnambulator · 23/11/2015 08:43

Oh and hello pulpi nice to see you over here!

EllieJayJay · 23/11/2015 08:53

Hey Lilly my boobs went from a 36D to now a 38DD/E - went wider strap to try and keep them longer

They were bursting out of my bra by the pregnancy test result and by week 5 if gone up two cup sizes and they seem to be getting bigger daily! I did not recognise them in a dress I used to wear all the time yesterday... Got lots of offers of help when browsing in John Lewis Hmm strangely from men (DP just kept smiling... He's a happy bunny lol

I brought mine from M&S their maternity range around £20 each I've definetly seen H not sure if they go any higher though?

I brought sleep bras from mothercare - the large fits and keeps my boobs happy and they do an extra large - plus I've seen G/H in there as well I think

Last place is hotmilk lingerie uk (they have a US site too) they are more expensive but I wante to feel sexy (I have stacks of underwear very mic my thing) and they do them in different colours and a bit more fancy

Sleep bras have been the best purchase ever!

OP posts:
EllieJayJay · 23/11/2015 08:54

Sleep bras are £20 for two in mothercare the hotmilk was about £20 too I think but not sure

I used a clearblue indictator which said 2-3 weeks, but I think clearblue measures it via how long you've been pregnant rather than how your doctor would measure it - so I'm 5 and a bit weeks according to doctor, but really only been pregnant for between 2-3 weeks.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/11/2015 09:00

Hi Somna

Lily My boobs have gone up one cup size. I know poor Ellie was worried hers may give her away as they've grown lots. I did the cb digitals one a week for 3 weeks. I was lucky as I got 1-2 on the first, 2-3 on the second and 3+ on the last. So as it should be. But I know a lot of people don't get the correct dates on them. They are known to be quite unreliable.

Cookies we have decided to tell MIL after our scan too. She starts chemo next week so we don't feel like now is the right time. If I don't get my scan I'm going to pay for a private one I think. Although I know they do the nuchal fold scan here and it has to be done between 12-14 weeks. So the scan shouldn't be too far off Christmas.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/11/2015 09:10

Roto good luck for your scan this morning. I really hope it's good news for you. Please let us know how you get on. Sending positive thoughts xx

wantingno2 · 23/11/2015 09:17

Good morning everyone it took me all day yesterday to catch up this thread is so chatty I phoned the doctors this morning for my blood results but I've got to phone back between 1 - 3 I'm so nervous it's killing me I not even entirely sure what the normal range is of hcg between 5 and 6 weeks I'm 5+6 today when you google it the range seems to very so much

redstrawberries101 · 23/11/2015 09:19

I just phoned EPU and they said it sounds like implantation bruising coming away. She said if it was the sac it would be more obvious and the pain would've been different. She said they wouldn't do a scan until at least Friday (a week from the last one). So will just see what happens now.

lilygirl81 · 23/11/2015 09:19

Thanks all. I actually bought sleep bras before I got my BFP as boobs were so sore, and I got a bravissimo pj top with a proper bra built in which is really comfy (sometimes wear the 2 together) I'll have a look at mothercare, they told me in store yesterday that they did go up to about a J, but they had none in stock and their website didn't have any. M&S were also out of stock. I hate to think how huge I am going to end up!!! I do love the look of hotmilk Ellie, but I think until things settle down I'll try and stick with cheap ones for now.

I called the midwives and EPU this morning, EPU scan at 6 weeks at the earliest, so they have booked me in for 3 December, which is also the first day the midwives could see me. I'm very glad I have a chronic condition as easy to explain away loads of appointments as being down to that.

Hope all the scans today go well xx

Gx91 · 23/11/2015 09:28

Wantingtono - I'm same as u 5+6 I have no Idea what HCG levels r supposed to be but I peed on a stick and line was very dark at weekend ( had a worry moment so had to check ) X good luck waiting for ur results I'm sure they will b as they r supposed to be Smile X
Mel - hope the call reassured u , shame u have to wait til Friday for a scan but by the sounds of it they don't seem worried by the bleeding , r u in pain ? X
Lily - I'm just using cheap bras for now but considering buying a decent one as I'm always taking it off when I am home , don't want my boobs to sag bcoz of the weight ( awchh) x

EllieJayJay · 23/11/2015 09:28

beautician if I'm not outed at my next office trip will be very surprised!

I did think do I/don't I on the hotmilk but was feeling so unlike my self wanted to embrace my curves for a bit plus had my birthday and just wanted to feel a bit sexy! Finally my thought what goes up must come down... Lool

Sonambulator it's great to have people at the same stage as me, this is a really nice group to be part of.

felinewonderful · 23/11/2015 09:33

Morning everyone, thanks for advice regarding telling work. I am now off for a couple of weeks so will tell my manager just before I'm due back, all being well, I will be 9+5 then so still before scan but guess I can't do anything about that. I will have to tell family at same time too. Has anyone else had leg ache and slight abdominal cramping?
Good luck to everyone having scans and hope mel and roto are ok.

Basketofwool · 23/11/2015 09:33

Morning everyone

A very late joiner to this thread. I found out I was pg on Friday - quite a surprise as I was only off the pill for a month and I have PCOS - we assumed nothing would happen without drugs! DD is 29th July.

I tested on Friday because I woke up feeling really sick and my heart was racing. But since then I haven't felt any symptoms - does this sound normal?

I've been a lurker on MN for a while and I love reading everyone's stories and hearing how they're getting on. Hoping this thread will be a sanity saver for me over the coming months!

EllieJayJay · 23/11/2015 09:35

Gx get a sleep bra for home! i can't walk far without one - makes me cry thinking about it!

Mel sounds good with the call, I admire you so much the strength you are showing is amazing X

Lilly good to know in mothercare they have bras for super boobs! Mine arrive about 20 minutes before me already and I'm petrified at how big my boobs are going to get! And swear I look pregnant in my tummy already, it must be bloating but I've been trying to hold it in I think lol - DP pointed out that it might not be possible for the duration so to just breath out - so I did and it was great!! Felt so much better :)
