Lucky and Roto hope you both get good news too.

Loki17 · 20/11/2015 13:04

Great news, Mel!

wantingno2 · 20/11/2015 13:10

So pleased for you melvali xx

lilygirl81 · 20/11/2015 13:25

Beautician Thanks, I've been trying to decide if I call and make an appointment today, or wait until Monday when I'll feel a bit more confident. For some reason, getting to Monday seems like a huge achievement. Mind you, did consider taking a half day, I want to go and find a book shop and get a pregnancy book, any recommendations?

Lucky I don't know your history, but no matter what I hope this isn't what you think. The not knowing is horrible and makes things so much worse

I look forward to getting to know everyone else over the next few months.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/11/2015 13:34

Lily I had this one last time. Very informative.

lucky and roto sorry i missed your messages before somehow. must have posted without refreshing. sorry to hear about more blood lucky and that wait until the next test results must seem like forever. these are both things that could happen and end in a successful pregnancy so there is some hope to cling on to. but i think all we can do is be here for you to off-load in the meantime Brew

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 20/11/2015 13:40

That is fantastic news Mel really pleased for you. Hopefully all will go smoothly from now on

Lucky its not over yet so keep positive and we'll all be sending you lots of positive wishes for tomorrow's blood results and Monday's scan

Welcome lily, keeping my fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months for us all!

I've booked a private scan for 23rd December when I will be 10.5 weeks roughly but wondering now whether I should have an even earlier one now at the beginning of December at the 8 week stage. I'm really paranoid about the fact that I've got very few symptoms really and keep pondering terrible things like "is it a blighted ovum" etc. All I've had so far is sore nipples, constipation (TMI) and lack of appetite. Cant help feeling that I should be having more, especially when I hear all the talk of nausea and cravings etc.

Lucky in October

Don't despair, anything is possible. They told me the bleeding is probably because when the uterus lining thickens it can be quite aggressive and cause bruising to form inside. They said for some people they would never know but for some they experience blood loss. It should taper off over a week or so.

In regards to my symptoms disappearing they said that is normal during the first few months. Symptoms don't need to get progressively worse, it's just a myth

Fingers crossed for you X

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/11/2015 13:50

Allthegood please, please don't worry about symptoms. Some people get every symptom going , some none and some severe ms. I've had nausea, constipation and need to wee more at night. But no major symptoms. Some of the people that have strong symptoms now may not have them later on and vice versa. I had hardly any symptoms at all with ds3 it was a great pregnancy and then at 29 weeks I suddenly got spd it was awful I couldn't turn over in bed and I couldn't walk far. At this stage the main symptoms are a positive pregnancy test and a lack of period Smile

Chocolatekeepsmesane · 20/11/2015 13:53

Hi all,
Can I join please? I'm 5 + 3 due on 19th July.

I have 6dc already 3 dd's and 3 ds's.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 20/11/2015 14:02

Thank you beautician, very good advice, makes me feel a bit calmer, as you have been through it all before its good to get your experienced take on things. Sorry to hear about your previous SPD, sounds awful. I'll probably stick with the scan date and stop stressing so much, just enjoy the festive season. I'm a Christmas nut who starts itching to take out the decorations in November lol.

SoniaShoe · 20/11/2015 14:03

hi chocolate and congratulations. it sounds like you'll have lots of advice for us from your previous experience!

BergamotMouse · 20/11/2015 14:10

Hi lilygirl. We have the same due date of 28th July Smile. Sorry you've had a tough time up to now but they're nice clear positive results so fingers crossed.

Chocolatekeepsmesane · 20/11/2015 14:10

Hi Sonia, congratulations to you too. My dc keep me pretty busy but I will pop on as much as I can to chat.

lilygirl81 · 20/11/2015 14:11

Hi Bergamot yay, a date twin already. How are you feeling?

BergamotMouse · 20/11/2015 14:20

I'm feeling pretty normal really. Occasional cramps like period pains which I've read (and hope) are normal. I've had a bit of heartburn but that's about it so far. I almost wish I had some more symptoms just to make it feel more real. I bet I won't be saying that in a couple of weeks.

How about you?

I'm going to one of the Christmas markets all day tomorrow and my lack of drinking will be very noticeable so not sure how to go about that. I doubt the antibiotic excuse will work.

I wish I could just tell people but planning to wait till 12 weeks.

I'm thinking of getting an early scan so we can tell family at Christmas as won't be able to hide it.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/11/2015 14:21

Chocolate welcome & congratulations. Wow # 7 and three of each. Super mum.

Allthegood when I was pregnant with ds3 I worried until my scan and honestly thought I had imagined it all and there wouldn't be a baby there. I should have known better having done it twice before. I'll probably be scared before the scan this time too it's just human nature. Then we will all worry before the 20 week scan Grin. Then once there born we will worry about them for the rest of our lives haha

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 20/11/2015 14:27

Soooo true beautician! What have I let myself in for Grin Grin Grin

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 20/11/2015 14:30

Getting nervous about my 8 Week reassurance scan tomorrow afternoon! Really hope baby is OK in there.

SoniaShoe · 20/11/2015 14:47

youandme i feel exactly the same. i've got a reassurance scan in the morning and i'm really nervous about it. we've got friends arriving afterwards who are staying for the weekend and i'm wondering if its really bad timing for the scan in case it is bad news. its not like we can send them home. but my DP keeps saying we've got no reason to think it will be bad news so we should just assume it will be good. its just natural that we worry.

MrsNikiC · 20/11/2015 14:58

Hi all.

Just joining this post. I'm 6 weeks pregnant with an estimated delivery of 13 July.

Don't think it's going to feel real until we have the first scan!

Niki

lilygirl81 · 20/11/2015 15:00

Bergamot I've got cramps too, but also really tired, a bit nauseous and have really sore boobs. Not sure if I'm imagining it, but I'm also running to the loo loads more than normal, but not increased me drinking or anything like that.

I think I'll get early scans because of my history, should find out next week, but I think we are going to tell close family at Christmas, got a couple of ideas how to do it Smile

BergamotMouse · 20/11/2015 15:03

Ooh, please share ideas of how to tell lily. I was trying to think of ideas of telling the news. I find I build these things up too much in my mind and just get worried about how to do it.

I thought if I got a private reassurance scan I could put one of the pictures in a card but that's the best I've got so far.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 20/11/2015 15:09

That's exactly it Sonia - I've got no real reason to think it won't be fine, but that doesn't stop me really worrying that it won't be!
