SoniaShoe · 20/11/2015 15:15

will you let me know how you get on with it tomorrow and i'll do the same?

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 20/11/2015 15:16

Definitely! you'll be first - hope it all goes smoothly for you!

beckslovestimmy · 20/11/2015 15:29

For those of you worried about lack of symptoms please don't worry. Some lucky ladies don't really have any symptoms and breeze through pregnancy (lucky buggars!!) if like me you have HG you'll be wishing those symptoms away. Sickness here didn't kick in until 6weeks +. Only other symptom here is sore boobs.

SoniaShoe · 20/11/2015 15:41

sorry to hear you're still suffering becks. how are you coping with it? did you have it with your last preganancy and if so when did it stop? at least if you knew when it was likely to end ie 13 weeks, you'd see a light at the end of the tunnel?

Loki17 · 20/11/2015 16:00

We have ordered mum and mil photo calenders of dd like we always do. We bought them one for DD's first Christmas as a novelty, joke present but they loved them and ask for one each year. Anyway, we are going to stick a mini photo of the scan (fridge magnet sized) on to July 15th with 'Due today!' written on. I can't wait to see their faces! DH wanted to put a copy of the scan photo in a 'make your own' Christmas cracker but there is no way I could wait until dinner time!

lilygirl81 · 20/11/2015 16:12

I found a place that does personalised fortune cookies, so thinking of getting their box of 6 and doing messages which will suggest a baby is on the way. I've got one for telling my parents, but stuck for my sister and DH's side of the family.

Other ideas are to give them a baby grow or something like that wrapped up as a little extra present, and give them all out at the same time so they work it out. That wouldn't work for my family as my sister is pg at the moment so they'd think it was to do with that, but can see it working for DH's lot.

I totally forgot that for the last week, if anyone mentions a food I generally enjoy, I have been fixated on it, and had to have it! At least now I can blame my tomato seed (as one app told me today)

RoTo72 · 20/11/2015 16:18

Oh Loki ur dd I my birthday. Good sign!

RoTo72 · 20/11/2015 16:20

Is not I. Doh!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/11/2015 16:22

We are going to get a Christmas card done for all the relatives to open on Christmas Day morning. On the outside will be our 3 boys with ds3 holding a sign saying I'm going to be a big brother July 2016 then a scan photo inside. The only problem is the older boys will probably read the sign and I wanted to tell them just before everyone else on the 23rd as Christmas Eve is ds1s birthday.

Loki17 · 20/11/2015 16:23

My dd was due on the 24th of July and arrived on the 31st. I'm hoping this little one arrives on time otherwise dd might have a rubbish 5th birthday!

gnat99 · 20/11/2015 16:42

Great news Mel!

I'm currently stuck under a very poorly toddler :(

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/11/2015 17:06

Loki don't worry I bet you get a different day. My ds3 was due on May 10th when I had my scan it was moved to May 16th. Ds2 birthday is May 13th. On his birthday the first thing ds2 said to me was "mum have you got pains as I don't want the baby to come today"Grin. Ds3 arrived on May 19th so almost a week between their birthdays.

Loki17 · 20/11/2015 17:15

I hope so! One of my pupils was telling me today that she was born on the 23rd of December and her sister the 24th! Must be a really expensive month!

mascaraisamust · 20/11/2015 18:12

Woah I'm playing catch up! Just got more cyclogest and some pregnacare as I'm only taking folic and vitamin d at the minute. I also bought another test Blush I know how ridiculous!

Mel fab news, hope you can chill a bit now.

Lack of symptoms here too ladies apart from soreness but it's its all out of our control and in natures hands

mascaraisamust · 20/11/2015 18:34

Oh and advice, I've got mouth ulcers Sad got quite a few, not sure what I can use/allowed to use! Chapped lips too!

Vickie360 · 20/11/2015 18:43

Has anyone else had upper back pain? It's really sore on 1 side and I'm really worried it's a sign that it's another ectopic pregnancy but I haven't got any other symptoms

lilygirl81 · 20/11/2015 18:47

Vickie I had that this afternoon, put it down to bad posture

beckslovestimmy · 20/11/2015 19:12

Sonia I'm on meds now which definitely help and I'm now on 2weeks holiday so I'm not having to put a brave face on at work. I had the same and needed meds with DD finally lifted at about 20 weeks I think, but started to improve at about 16 weeks. Only 7 and a bit to go!!

vickie I was worried about a possible eptopic pregnancy a few years back after taking the morning after pill and I had a saw shoulder and cramps. I was told the pain in the back associated with eptopic pregnancy is shoulder tip pain, and was told it has to be very far progressed to get this as it actually means blood is filling your abdomen, and you would have crippling cramps at the same time.

I'm not an expert of course but I was reassured by this as at the time the pain I had was behind my shoulder/in my back - but of course if your worried you should talk to someone medical :) I don't think it's something to risk.

I worry everyday about things am so glad it's only four sleeps before my early scan! Like a child before Christmas :)
