Yes just had my scan, was a bit stressful! Baby is fine from what we saw but she was lying in a difficult position, had to go away and have a walk and drink a litre of water - didn't move her at all! The guy doing the scan tried moving her (had me jump up and down too haha) but she was stubborn and stayed bum up facing away despite me contorting about.did see her kick when he pressed down and wriggle a bit!! Couldn't do the NT measurement so am going back in 2 weeks for second trimester bloods instead. Got a pic but it's v blurry!

Did discover a fibroid behind my placenta, he said "oh that could have meant you might have have trouble conceiving (didn't) but it hasn't been picked up on any previous scans? Not sure if that will have any implications?

My due dates been brought forwards 5 days to May 12th, not kidding I've had six wees since I left the hospital, need another one again!!

Hope all goes well this afternoon Southy sorry am posting and running as we're just going out for lunch will read posts I've missed this afternoon!

Oh no Vicky that's a shame about the scan. Glad everything looked ok but a shame that baby wasn't co-operating. I don't know about fibroids having any implications but would have thought they would have said something if it would be an issue.

Oh sorry to hear that Vicky. Baby obviously felt a bit shy today, I'm sure he/she will cooperate for your next scan!

Thanks for all your good lucks, baby seemed absolutely fine, also had a wriggly baby who didn't want to play ball like you vicky they struggled to get nuchal measurement but they think they got it right at the end. It all feels a little surreal to be honest, due date 16th may. But a tall baby apparently! Keep pinching myself doesn't feel real.

Super news Vicky & South very happy for you!!

I went in for an emergency scan today as since DS fell onto my tummy at weekend have been very anxious, also felt my boobs have got smaller/less plump and sensitive so was so worried, but all ok.

I am now officially taking a chill pill and just going with the flow ...promise !!

vicky I was found to have a fibroid in my last pregnancy, there didn't seem to be any implications unless it was too near the cervix. Oddly at my scan this time they couldn't see it! Here's my scan pic.. guesses for boy or girl? My hunch is girl. I thought last time I was having a boy and that was spot on. I've booked a private scan in 2 weeks to confirm as I've no patience!

I have a dd already so this is number 2 for me. Still nauseous most of the day and vomming every morning yuk!

southy I'm guessing boy ... Only cos I'm convinced I'm having a boy and yours looks similar to mine

However I'm notoriously bad at this! I was convinced I was having a boy last time and was flabbergasted that my dd popped out.

So glad you got good scans Southy Peas and StormTr00per!

Stormtr00per - assuming you're a Star Wars fan haha, just showed my scan pic to my brother and he said she looks like Figrin D'an?! It's good your fibroid wasn't an issue! I've had a quick google but am going to try and not read too much until I can speak to my midwife because I don't want to worry too much and obsessively look up things that could go wrong like I have done previously!

Southy I feel you on the crap skin and hair too, where is this bloody glow?! I had terrible spots a few weeks ago which have mostly cleared up (i keep getting them in weird places like right near my ears or on my neck, so attractive) but still just look greasy and pasty!

Can'tbelieve hope you have a lovely weekend away!

And here's the best photo we got - have cleaned it up a bit so we can see a bit more, she looks fed up :D

The weird shadow is because she's all hunched up as high as she can get like she's trying to escape up through my stomach! Also because of my weird shaped uterus and how I was lying on my side. Basically everything about it was "weird" today haha

vicky yes I have a weird spot encroaching into my ear I feel so unglamorous :( I think your baby looks like a girl, it's a cute photo, I wasn't as impressed with mine as I was with the private scan ones though. Did you get given a date for your 20 weeks scan?

Haha I'm hoping it's a girl! I have no idea what makes them look like a boy or a girl at this stage!

Southy my 20 week scan is on Christmas Eve! So straight after that scan we'll be driving down south to my parents for Christmas. My family have a Christmas Eve cocktail party every year for all their friends, and my sister writes a quiz, so we were thinking of getting people to guess boy or girl as one of the questions and revealing it during the answers! Do you have a date for yours yet?

I'm convinced it's a boy :) but genuinely don't mind. Oh amazing vicky mines the 29th so debating paying for a private one as a treat before Xmas although dh thinks it's pointless as we won't be finding out sex. That's such a good idea for the quiz! Such a great way to tell people :)

So I'm wide awake and have been since 1:45... This is ridiculous! I'm tired but can't get back to sleep

Welcome to all the newcomers and congrats on good scans. Sorry for not name checking. Only time for a quick read through while bribe DS to stay in bed with in the night garden on the iPad.

I am also getting spots on my forehead when I normally have pretty clear skin. Gross! Never had this last time. That and the fact I had no sickness last time makes me think it's a girl. 20wk scan on 18th dec but no sure yet if we'll find out. We didn't with DS but I really want to this time. DH not so keen to know though.

Good morning from rainy Copenhagen! BF has gone to a meeting so having eaten an acceptable-in-front-of-others amount of breakfast with him before he left I am thinking about going down for a second round...Am convinced as of yesterday that I look like I'm wearing a fat suit (nobody would say of me "it's just a neat bump!") so I should probably go easy on the pastries but I'm on holiday, right?! That and the fact I want another coffee and he has turned into a coffee fascist and says I shouldn't be drinking any!
But back on topic - we didn't find out the baby's gender on our harmony test because I really really didn't want to, and he just as strongly DID want to, but I win! Haha, being the mama rules sometimes!
