My phone froze so now it's posted twice! I give up!! Night

GrouchyKiwi · 18/12/2015 14:19

Has anyone else started nesting already? I HAD to move the living room furniture around today and have been doing a lot of cleaning, even though my back objects to it.

ODog · 18/12/2015 14:28

Haha grouchy! I have felt slightly more uneasy about my dirty windows but that my just be because they are quite bad! Just waiting for my scan, meant to be half an hour ago but the staff seem to be having a little Xmas shindig in the office!

Bishboshbash · 18/12/2015 14:33

Hello, haven't posted for ages and this thread dropped off my list!
Hope everyone is doing ok, hope you get your scan soon ODog! Definitely no nesting here Grouchy, I am so tired today!
Off to read back a bit and see what I've missed!

All normal and it's a girl.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/12/2015 16:53

Lovely, ODog!

frozensmoothie · 18/12/2015 18:50

Great news ODog!

ParsnipSoup · 18/12/2015 19:21

Wonderful news ODog!

GunShotResidue · 18/12/2015 19:32

Congrats ODog, you thought it was a girl, didn't you?

We find out tomorrow morning, I'm so, so impatient! I will be over the moon either way, but I want to know!

I haven't done much nesting, hoping it kicks in just before we move so I will happily clean and pack the house!

ODog · 18/12/2015 19:49

Yep we both thought girl. I think that's why I wanted to know for sure this time as with DS I wasn't sure if he was a boy or a girl so happy to have a surprise. I would have been thrilled with a boy too. I actually feel a bit sad that he won't get a little buddy but I'm sure he will love his little sister.

Southy84 · 19/12/2015 08:55

Hi everyone hope everyone's well, just had a quick skim read back and wanted to say congratulations to frozen on your two lots of exciting news :) a wedding and a little girl congratulations!

Hope you're doing ok parsnip and had no more bleeding.

Fab news on the scan odog and congratulations another little girl :)

On my phone again but hi to everyone and also been having weird dreams here too! I think I may be feeling baby now, not entirely sure but hoping it is. So exciting everyone's fast approaching 20 weeks already, I'm so glad I've had christmas to distract me it's certainly made time speed up!

Good luck with your scan today gunshot if anyone's happy to post their recent 20 week scan pics would love to see the difference between the 12 week ones :)

frozensmoothie · 19/12/2015 09:58

Morning Southy glad everything is ok!

Here are my 20 week scan pictures. Everything certainly looks alot bigger than the 12 week one! Also because they're zooming in closely on everything, you don't often get to see the baby in full so it seems a bit more surreal than the 12 week scan. My pictures aren't that clear as baby was in wrong position. When is your scan?

Lovely pics frozen!

Question for everyone if I may - I think I'm suddenly suffering from water retention! Since I hit 20 weeks my bump has gone really hard, I have cankles and despite the fact I need to pee constantly there is nothing much there when I go to the bathroom (as opposed to a few days before, when it was a mega-wee every time!!). Anyone else notice the same? Or have any tips how to combat it?

GunShotResidue · 19/12/2015 18:39

We're having a boy! Everything looks good, so I'm going to try really hard not to worry.

ODog that's what we were like with DD, i was so convinced she was a girl DH made us find out just incase.

No idea for water retention, other than keeping your ankles up!

Southy84 · 20/12/2015 08:53

Amazing thank you for sharing frozen they are great pics. I will be 20 weeks on the 28th and scan is on the 29th, nearly caved and looked at booking another private scan before christmas but they didn't have any suitable times left- plus I reasoned with myself that we've already spent too much on private scans/tests and i just need to be patient as its not Too much longer now. Hope you're ok.

I don't have any suggestions cant but already sporting a large bump here and 19 weeks tomorrow... First baby and the amount of people who keep asking am I sure it's not twins Hmm ive gained a stone already and slightly worried about that although it definitely is all bump and boobs. Have you all gained much weight?

Yay congrats gunshot! So you will have one of each? How lovely :)

Pikz · 20/12/2015 09:09

Wow wonderful news on all the girls and boys! So exciting!

We hopefully find out tomorrow at 21+1 as we have been away skiing last week. Am a bit nervous now but getting lots of reassuring kicks so hope all is ok.

frozensmoothie · 20/12/2015 11:08

I've gained about 1/2 stone so far but don't have much of a bump and baby was measuring on the lower percentiles at 20 week scan so think she's just a small baby at the moment. I'm a bit worried as I'm 5'8 and DP is 6'3 so didn't think we'd have a small baby. They didn't seem concerned at the scan so hopefully she'll have a growth spurt soon!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow Pickz

21 weeks today and DP felt the baby move from the outside yesterday! Still wishing I could feel her more and have more regular movements. Hopefully it won't be too much longer!

Mamama31 · 20/12/2015 12:35

Congrats on all the amazing scans ladies lovely to see the baby girls are catching up now we have a nice mix of both!!

Southy I've put on almost a stone! I feel like that's a lot but like you its all bump and boobs! I've gone from 34b to 36d bra size and I still think they are growing every week!!! My bump looks pretty big for 20 weeks as well!

Parsnip sorry your mw was so shit that is unbelievable as her job is to reassure you!!! Disgraceful! But so glad to hear baby is moving!! I'm having movements often now but they are so slight I can only feel when I'm lying down, completely relaxed and focussing on it.

I have to say this last week or so I've felt a new lease of life! Feeling more energy, happy and positive about things and no nausea! Really enjoying my pregnancy now! A wee bit of heartburn has started but I don't mind I'm feeling great other than this!

Ruthiesj · 20/12/2015 17:34

Frozen, did you find out where your placenta is positioned as it's possible it's cushioning some of her movements.

Toffee, I was convinced I was having a girl from the beginning and then had a dream with a newborn son, which had me on the fence again. I then more recently went back to feeling she was a girl and my private scan confirmed it. So... Those dreams are confusing, but in my case misleading!

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend!

Nicky333 · 20/12/2015 17:58

I'm thinking I'm feeling little movements but they're always in the same place. Are other people's early movements the same or is it a nerve or something I'm feeling?

frozensmoothie · 20/12/2015 18:15

Ruthie my placenta is posterior. I've been feeling her everyday but can go several hours without feeling anything which stresses me out. I know it's still early to feel regular movements and I'm feeling overly anxious at the moment with the lower percentile measurements, even though scan report says normal growth. I've always got to find something to stress and worry about!!

Nicky my movements are normally in the same place too, quite low down. I might be feeling them higher up too nearer my belly button but find it harder to distinguish between movements and gas when they're highger up!

GunShotResidue · 20/12/2015 18:27

Yeah, one of each southy. My uncle says we should stop now but I always wanted 3!

I dreamt that I have birth at 22 weeks, but the baby was fine. I kept asking people for help but they all said he was ok, and he seemed to be. It was very weird. I'm going to be so paranoid until after 22 weeks!

Nicky333 · 20/12/2015 18:29

Thanks frozen. I just googled it and it's normal for them to be in the same place when they're still small.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 21/12/2015 05:47

Morning all! Up early for our flight to France for Christmas with the inlaws, though as I somehow always wake up an hour before my alarm that was 4am today!
Talking of movements, I thought I felt them before, and then last night when I should have been asleep already I got a MASSIVE unmistakable kick, definitely a first! After that it was like a non-stop party in my belly!

Pikz · 21/12/2015 10:29

Lovely for first kicks coffee!

All healthy this morning and it's another boy for me so pleased!
