I've been having lots of weird moods, mostly over emotional and protective of DD but also irritable!

I'm staying with my dad for a week whilst DH is away with the army, he's away for two weeks but I have to go home after one for my midwife appointment. My sister's coming up today so I'm excited about that.

I went to paint my toenails last night and I guess I haven't paid any attention to my feet recently but they were SO SWOLLEN - they looked like bashed in sausages! anyone else with massive gross feet!?

Oh no Vicky my feet are ok at the moment but fully expecting them to massively swell up at some point. One of my friends went up a shoe size, never to return to the original size!

Yep I went up a shoe size last time, hopefully it won't happen again this time!

Whaaaaaaaaaat??? I'm going to have to buy bigger shoes too??

Hi everyone, welcome meevsa and hope your appointment went well today vicky glad they finally got back to you.

I had my mw appointment today and heard baby's heartbeat, I'm so happy and it's starting to feel more real now!

I didn't realise that feet could grow in pregnancy!! Nooo!!

Glad that your appointment went well Southy and great that you got to hear the heartbeat!

Just marking my place again as it fell off the threads I'm on. It's a shame it's gone so quiet, I know most of you use the Facebook group now though. I just enjoy the anonymity of MN.

Glad you heard the heartbeat southy. 2 weeks today until the anomaly scan for me. Feels like it's not been long since the last scan though. Time is whizzing.

Just on a train to London to meet some friends for a pre-Xmas meal/drinks. DS has been...erm...challenging today so I'm knackered and could do without it really. Plus I'm too scared to check as ignorance is bliss but I'm pretty sure there is snot on my top somewhere from all the hysterics when I was trying to get ready I was obviously being very unfair by not letting him play with red hot hair straighteners!

Had my edd moved to 24th of May when I had my scan last month so I feel really excited that I've fast-forwarded almost a whole week!

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat too Southy, isn't it lovely?! It was such a relief... Can't wait until I can feel some movement.

My mental health rainbow team home visit went well (didn't cry too much) and the referral unit rang this afternoon to say they've reviewed the notes and will be in touch to arrange treatment asap. So that's good!

I've been a bit worried now that once feeling little Flicky feelings last week I haven't felt any since. Gender scan on Sunday though, looking forward to that!

Glad the visit went well Vicky! I think it's normal at this stage to only feel movements on and off. Thought I felt something yesterday (but it was probably wind!!). Good luck at the scan. I found out that I'm having a boy when I had my harmony test results.

Aww congrats on ffwd a week parsnip and lovely knowing you have a little boy in there. I'm really looking forward to finding out this time as we didn't before.

Glad your appointments went well parsnip and vicky. I've only felt interim movements too, not every day and still not sure if what I'm feeling is definitely movements a lot of the time. I still feel like I've got a small bump too and will be 19 weeks on Sunday!

Just back from work Christmas do which was good, even managed a little boogie on the dance floor! Hope everyone had good Christmas parties too!

Love a little boogie! Sounds like both parties have gone well. I'm working a 13hr shift today which means I'm missing my Christmas Party. Might have to spend Sunday dancing around my house to cheesy Christmas songs to make up for it!

Hi ladies I'm still here!!!

I've had a bit of an up and down week. It started so well with our private scan on Tuesday when we found out we are having a boy!!!! We were very happy and excited to know but on the Wed I had a bit of a bleed so that was terrifying, spent 3 hours at hospital scanned and internal examination thankfully the little man is perfectly happy and no clue what caused the bleed. We did so quite a bit of Christmas shopping after our scan though so wondering if I overdid it!
But so glad all is well and to see our little boy 2 days in a row on a scan... Both days you couldn't deny it was a boy! Haha! Quite proud of his manhood it seems!

So interesting chat about girl or boy heart rates. I went to see my midwife on wed after the hospital scanned me and she let me hear the heartbeat and it is 150bpm for a boy. I thought the old wives tale was if its over 140 it's a girl? Is that right? If so then it's a load of rubbish haha!!

I also got the iOS heartbeat app but I'm not convinced just yet. I did it on my own heartbeat then baby's but both sounded similar so I think it was just picking up mine. We also put it on hubbys tummy and it picked up his heartbeat so it's hard to tell at this point if I'm just hearing my own. I will try it again soon to see if there is any change.

I was also surprised my scan on wed said I was 17+5 making me 18 weeks today!!! I don't think that's right though, reckon I'll be put back again at my 20 week scan on 30 Dec. As we would work it out as being 17 weeks today! But if they put me forward I'll take it!!!!

When I was preg with Dd her heart rate indicated boy but she's Defo a girl ... A crazy three year old at that! So I'm not convinced by that theory.

17+1 today and heard heartbeat the other day at mw appointment, such a nice sound a real reassurance that it's still there. Feeling lots of little movements now albeit very adhoc still. Don't think they become regular and obvious until much later on.

Still suffering with daily vom episodes and generally in a state of nausea and food aversion ... Although I'm managing to pack it way. My male colleague commented the other day that I should really try to make sure I'm eating healthily (his wife is also preg and obviously perfect at being so!) ... I could have punched him quite frankly. I can just about deal with hearing that from a mw!! He must obviously know what it's like physically growing a human.
