oops posted too soon - meant to say which is more like you?

VickyHW · 16/11/2015 08:59

Haha to be fair it wasn't my best performance, shouting "CHECK IF I'M BLEEDING!!" every few minutes isn't the sexiest I'd imagine...

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 16/11/2015 09:25

Oh vicky hahahahahaha!!! I just laughed in the doctors waiting room!!!

Just had my midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat Smile

DelphiStar · 16/11/2015 11:12

Hi, can I join?

I'm 28 and pregnant with first baby. Due 26th may. Currently off sick from work with splitting headache that makes me throw up. Still waiting for scan results and then will tell friends and family. How is it possible to be so happy and so bleugh simultaneously!!?

ODog · 16/11/2015 11:35

Ahh that's lovely cant. So hope I get to hear my baby's on Thursday.

I have woken up the last 3 morning so a sore lower back and a stiff neck. I can hardly move my neck today. I never normally wake up achy even sleeping in weird positions due to cosleeping. DS didn't even come in with us the last 2 nights. I'm going to dig out my dream genii pillow for tonight and see if that helps. I wonder if it's because I'm normally a front sleeper but I've started to feel a bit uncomfortable doing that just recently even though bump is still tiny. Anyone else had anything similar? Obviously it may not be of related at all.

frozensmoothie · 16/11/2015 11:54

Haha I still haven't felt like dtd either.

I had a really stiff neck yesterday and have been waking up achy. I'm normally a front sleeper too and finding it hard to get comfy.

Got my midwife appointment at 3:30 today.

Mamama31 · 16/11/2015 12:04

Evs so sorry to hear your news there are just no words.... Sending prayers your way.

Mamama31 · 16/11/2015 12:06

Lovely scan pics ladies and pis that's great you know the sex already! We have a boy (teenager now) he was an absolute angel as a baby and has given me no trouble right through to teen years! He was always loving and affectionate and still is! He is a little darling and yours will be too :)

Mamama31 · 16/11/2015 12:09

Re shagging: I have been a bit more in the mood compared to initial 10 weeks where the thought of dtd was so wrong! But around 11 weeks we dtd and also 13 weeks, only twice but both of those times I was absolutely gagging for it but then other times no thought of it at all. I do think the drive will increase though as I start to feel better! Lucky dh! Haha! He keeps saying is it the horny trimester yet?!!

ljjeffro · 16/11/2015 12:59

I feel like i have no sex drive at a at the moment and have only dtd once since being pregnant. I. Feeling a lot less tired now. I went to Liverpool on the weekend for a girly break and managed to stay out till 2:30am on Saturday night so was really pleased with myself! Smile

frozensmoothie · 16/11/2015 16:20

well done with the last night ljjeffro It's so nice to have more energy back and not want to hibernate the entire time!

I'm just back from my 16 week appointment. She didn't listen to heart beat so still no idea what's going on in there and my 20 week scan isn't for another month Sad

My urine sample showed raised glucose levels which she said could have just been the cake I had at lunch time, or if it's present again next time they'll have to do some further investigations.

I'm also at higher risk of pre-eclampsia as my mum had it with me and it's my first baby, so she prescribed me 75mg of aspirin that I need to take every day for the rest of the pregnancy. The pharmacy gave me the horrible water soluble aspirin too that tastes disgusting!

VickyHW · 16/11/2015 17:30

Yay for hearing the heartbeat cant!

Frozen I'm supposed to be taking aspirin too but wasn't given a prescription, forgot about it until I read through my notes the other day, am just taking half a pill at the moment until my next appointment? It's a shame you didn't get to hear the heartbeat :(

I tried ringing my Terrible Midwife today to ask about my referral and the aspirin and to ask about my 16 week appointment, her phone didn't ring, there's no voicemail any more, and can't leave a message. Hooray!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/11/2015 09:58

Hi all, hope everyone's feeling okay today?

I'm rather blocked up at the moment Blush trying to eat lots of fruit and veg but it's not really helping!

Oh god Vicky that's not a very reassuring sign, hope you manage to get hold of her soon!

I also suddenly remembered I was supposed to be having aspirin from 12 weeks (last week!). Picked some up from Tesco this morning and they are actually 75mg tablets which is handy - In a yellow packet, cost 80p ish I think.

ODog · 17/11/2015 10:52

I suffered with constipation terribly in my last pg tiff, thankfully seem to be ok so far this time.

I tried everything, prune juice, fruit, veg, gallons of water. In the end the only thing that worked for me was lactulose which is vile . It's probably not helped by the iron in the pregnancy vitamins.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/11/2015 11:03

Ahh well glad I'm not alone ODog! Will give lactulose a try - Can you get it from pharmacies / supermarkets or is it a prescription thing?

ODog · 17/11/2015 11:32

You can pick it up over the counter. It's grim though.

VickyHW · 17/11/2015 12:35

My midwife is officially awol, just rang my surgery to make a complaint and they said they've not been able to get hold of her for a while either, they've got a replacement coming in tomorrow who is hopefully going to ring me!

How's everyone else doing today? Who's still go a scan to go?!

fizzydrink1807 · 17/11/2015 12:51

I've got my scan in a couple of hours! Excited and nervous all at the same time....

frozensmoothie · 17/11/2015 14:13

Oh no Vicky I can't believe she's gone AWOL. Hopefully the replacement midwife will be more on the ball.

I've been very blocked up too Tiff and fruit and veg isnt helping either. I think it is the iron in the pregnancy vits.

Hope the scan goes well Fizzy

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/11/2015 16:18

Thanks Odog I'll give it a try Smile

That's not good Vicky. Although at least it's better that you know now that she was going to be flaky rather than finding out later, once you'd already come to depend on her / built a good relationship with her. Onto the next one!

Good luck for your scan fizzy!

Thanks frozen, nice to hear someone is feeling my pain! I'm feeling slightly better this afternoon after a fruit overdose of a huge tub of melon, apple and grapes, as well as a big bottle of orange and mango juice and a salad for lunch. Definitely ticked off a few of my 5 a day!

What's everyone having for dinner? I think we're having cod with veggies but really I just fancy crumpets after seeing people talking about them on the FB group earlier!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/11/2015 16:19

Ugh, my posts always end up smattered with exclamation marks, like they're written by an overexcited puppy Confused haha.

Nicky333 · 17/11/2015 16:22

Sorry Tiff - I won't mention crumpets again.

Crumpets crumpets crumpets. Sorry Grin

On a serious note, I've been taking kids vitamin D tablets with 10 m (or whatever that symbol is) and DH bought me some yesterday that were 25. Will they do me or the baby any harm?

Hi to new people.

Cute scan, minx. Amazing detail of the spine!

Tiff We're probably having fish finger sandwiches for dinner as DH is out and I can never be bothered making a proper meal when he's not here. I'm excited. Grin
