Hello!!
Thought I better start a new thread before the other one is full up.
If anyone wants added to the FB group PM me, can you say what your profile pic is too so I can find you, thanks!
Hope everyone has a good day today, any scans happening?

Aww congrats Nicky and Bish on your lovely scans Smile are either of you doing wider announcements e.g. social media? Come to think of it, what are everyone's feelings on FB announcements in general?

Two days til my scan now, counting down the hours! Grouchy wherever you are, you must be feeling my pain!

I seem to be ragingly grumpy today, DH said we need a car sticker saying 'Pregnant grump on board', because I get so annoyed with other drivers Blush

frozensmoothie · 10/11/2015 14:11

Lovely scan Nicky

I'm in Cambridge Can't (but often in London too!) scan prices here are just as pricey as London though. I found a cheaper one but the appointments are all quite restricted and in the middle of the working day. I guess I'll just have to be patient and hope the next 5 weeks goes by quickly. Hope the coffee is working to get you through today!

Not long to go until your scan Tiff I haven't made any FB announcements, but have been telling friends on FB messenger, Whatsapp, text etc... Haha I've been a grumpy cow recently too, I like the sound of the car sticker.

Nicky333 · 10/11/2015 16:07

Thanks.my EDD has been moved a day earlier, so I'm due on May 23rd now.

We're not going to make a FB announcement. When people find out, they find out. Apart from the people we're actually telling, like parents, sister, work etc.

Nicky333 · 10/11/2015 16:15

Oh, and the scan pictures were £4 and we got 3. I have a feeling it may have been more but the baby moved partway through the scan so a lot of the pictures weren't good.

ljjeffro · 10/11/2015 17:36

Had scan yesterday and all is well. Got blood results back while we were there also, which also came back good. They asked if we wanted to know what we were having as he said he could have a good guess! We said no though. Looking forward to a surprise!

ljjeffro · 10/11/2015 17:37

Lovely pic nicky

Bishboshbash · 10/11/2015 17:47

We put an announcement on fb yesterday, four of my friends are due in April/May so it was nice to finally be able to tell everyone.

Mamama31 · 10/11/2015 18:15

Great scan pics Nicky and Lljeffro!! :)

I am not making a Facebook announcement even though friends who do know who are on fb have sent public messages at times eluding to me being pregnant ( nothing too obvious though) but I don't want to announce it as such.

I had a dream last night that I had a baby boy it was so clear!!! He was tiny and so cute! It's funny as all previous dreams have been about having a girl! It all seemed so real I was quite taken aback when I woke and realised it was a dream!!

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 10/11/2015 18:57

Loving seeing the scans ladies!
I was annoyed with my BF when he said we shouldn't announce on Facebook right after our 12 week scan, but then it's been so nice telling people when I see them! I have tons of friends all around the world though so I assume I will do it at some point, but for now it feels nice to keep it a bit more IRL only.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 10/11/2015 19:00

Oh and ruthie my commute can be awful as I travel in/out of Oxford Circus (bleurch) at peak time. Since getting my badge it sometimes works, sometimes not, but I took to glaring at people when I get on the tube if they don't stand up which is totally the ring approach!! I am a bit scared to ask for a seat though today in both journeys I got to a seat just as someone else went to sit down and then I felt ok asking. Is such a strange business after 14 years of not speaking to anyone in public transport!

Nicky333 · 10/11/2015 21:02

Oh, I love speaking to people on the Tube. It unsettles them Grin

evs34 · 10/11/2015 21:28

Thanks for all your messages of support. The waiting is killing me. Hopefully some results due in next cpl days.
Lovely scan pics xxx

fizzydrink1807 · 11/11/2015 09:13

morning, so by my reckonings i am 12 weeks today!
still tired, hungry and to add to the collection h0rny!!

Sitting at my desk all day is starting to get really painful in my back now as well.

oh well only 6 days until my scan yay!

VickyHW · 11/11/2015 10:13

We're not announcing anything on Facebook until the 20 week scan, so that'll be Christmas Eve! arikl feel like I'm jinxing myself so thought it best not to.

Just had a doctors appointment and got a referral to the maternity physio because I've been having such awful back pain, also found out I haven't been referred to a consultant endocrinologist by my midwife (shocker) who I should have been seen by already because of my thyroid problem, also hadn't been notified that I needed further blood tests. Frustrating, but had the blood tests done at the walk in centre and hopefully will get letters about the physio/endocrinologist soon! Oh and he was surprised I was taking extra folic acid and told me to stop. Guess at 14 weeks I no longer need if anyway?

Elephantslovetofly · 11/11/2015 11:50

Lovely pictures everyone!

cant I am 15 weeks tomorrow. Just had a random puking episode, luckily I was at home rather than at work!

frozensmoothie · 11/11/2015 11:50

Morning all

Lovely scan ljjeffro. Surprised they said they can tell the sex at this stage but there must be something there! I can't wait to find out mine.

Wow that commute from Oxford Circus must be hardcore can't you have my sympathy! I hope you manage to get a seat.

I think I'm feeling less hungry in my second trimester than I was in my first. In my first I had to constantly graze to stave off the nausea, but now that the nausea's gone my appetite has definitely reduced which will hopefully be good for my waistline.

Sorry to hear you've been messed around Vicky. It sounds like they've been very disorganised and shocking that you've not been referred to the consultant with a thyroid problem. I hope you manage to get the referrals sorted out soon.

GrouchyKiwi · 11/11/2015 12:24

Some more lovely scan photos. We get ours tomorrow. I am excited.

DH and I went to the cinema last night. Film ended at 10:30pm and I had to get DH to stop for KFC for me on the way home. Hungry all the time.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 11/11/2015 12:35

Morning everyone Smile

Lovely clear picture ljjeffro!

I'm absolutely famished all the time too Grouchy I fancy a KFC now
Did you say your scan was in the morning? I'm willing away the time... Trying to distract myself with some cheeky Christmas shopping online at work at the moment.

Sending sympathy to Vicky and Elephants, hope the sickness and back pain pass soon! Not too glamorous, this pregnancy lark, is it?!

I think we'll be doing a FB announcement because I have quite a few distant friends and family that I would like to tell, but I don't have time (or the inclination) to ring around them all.

Mamama31 · 11/11/2015 13:10

Frozen I'm 13+4 and feeling less hungry as well this last few days! Not a bad thing as I've been overdosing on carbs!

I've also been going to bed early as I find the more sleep I get the better I feel the next day as my nausea appears to be related to tiredness.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 11/11/2015 13:19

Ah interesting Mama, I'm rubbish at going to bed early as DH and I always end up wanting to watch a programme or something and before we know it it's midnight, woops!

frozensmoothie · 11/11/2015 13:31

Haha I'm the same Mamama, I was massively overdosing on carbs. The tiredness really makes a difference to me too. I slept awfully on Sunday and the nausea returned slightly on Monday but since then I've slept fine and no nausea. I'm 15+3 and so glad I'm starting to feel normal again Smile hope everyone else starts to feel better soon too!

GunShotResidue · 11/11/2015 15:23

Can I join?

I've been lurking for a whole, but convinced myself something had gone wrong so didn't want to post. We had our scan today and everything is fine (which made me cry!) and it put me at 12+6.

We're doing a Facebook announcement later today as DH is army and has friends all over the world and I have a huge spread out family. We're putting up a picture of DD wearing a 'big sister in training' top (she's two in January).

I've been exhausted, but not had much morning sickness this time. I hope everyone starts to feel normal soon!

GrouchyKiwi · 11/11/2015 16:22

Hey Tiff. Yes, my scan is in the morning. I'm kind of wishing I'd caved and gone for a private scan 4 weeks ago. Still paranoid/hoping it's twins so at least I'll know soon!

Re Facebook: we'll be making a post there for the same reasons as Tiff. It's the easiest way to let assorted family and friends know.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 11/11/2015 16:28

Went to my first pregnancy yoga class today...
As soon as she said to everyone "place your hands on your babies" I was crying, and again at the end! Hoping this doesn't happen every time as the class is at my work! Really powerful to be in a room full of other pregnant women, wow....

VickyHW · 11/11/2015 16:51

can'tbelieve that's reminded me to text my Mum as she kindly offered to pay for my pregnancy yoga classes! How was it? I know nothing about yoga, will everyone be able to tell I'm a yoga idiot!?

Good luck for tomorrow Grouchy! and thank you Tiffany :) Frozen I wish I'd changed doctors surgery when I was first worried about them being crap, but at least I know now which GPs are 100% useless and which ones will get stuff done!
