Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

lil nice to see you back.

I would say that tiredness has been my main symptom more so than nausea the first trimester especially weeks 5-8. I had to tell my DM earlier than I would have liked as she came to visit for two weeks and I wouldn't drink with her in the evenings or get out of bed much during the day, so was a right party pooper.

I too spent the weekend decorating. Doing up the living room which has taken ages (over 2 months, weekends only, interrupted by aforementioned three weeks) to paint. I am not sure we are capable of blitzing a room in a weekend the way some of you are doing!

YogaPants · 02/11/2015 04:35

Gx for everyone with a scan this week! Seeing bean(s) on a screen definitely helps to make it feel more real.

5hell · 02/11/2015 06:03

Hope you had a great time sky ...I love Canada and went to van cover for a bit of our honeymoon :)
I too have 16w appointment in week 20! Can I ask if you've had any results (blood/NT) by post/phone already?

Happy Monday all Hmm

KateBeckett · 02/11/2015 06:08

lil tiredness has been one of my main symptoms so far. That and insomnia!! I'm really hoping they will let up soon now I am back to school and have to get up so early... Hmm

First midwife appointment is 3 weeks today! Need to decide on what I am going to tell work I need the time off for...

oneyorkshirepud · 02/11/2015 06:50

Tiredness is definitely a symptom! I was broken for the first 20 weeks. There were two days that I couldn't go to work/get out of bed/stand up long enough to shower! I was often too tired to eat as well, it was rubbish!

Kate can you just say you've got a doctor's appointment?

Back to work today. 15 days and counting....

fruitlovingmonkey · 02/11/2015 07:25

Just catching up on the thread. Scan week, whoop whoop!! Gingers are crossed for healthy viroid babies.
Welcome back Sky, hope you had a great holiday.
Lil fatigue is definitely a symptom. It was my main one in the first 12 weeks and is just starting to ease now. Would you be 10 weeks now going off the typical dating from lmp?
Feathered I started to feel better some days around that point but still had days where the nausea/ fatigue was bad. It will probably come and go for a couple more weeks. I think you asked about my spa treatments. Both are massages but I don't really know what makes them special for pg. One is at Neom when I'm in London next week and the other is in my home town. As long as they don't poke me in the womble, I'll be happy!
The wait until my next scan seems to be dragging on forever. Halfway through now and I'm getting impatient.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/11/2015 08:11

Scan week! Yahoo!

I have zero appts on my calendar this month. Joys of being a second timer, no one gives a shit Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 02/11/2015 08:13

Pud my school would never allow time off for a mere doctors appointment! Consultant appts were ok if you could produce a letter. Meanies! If I were Kate, I'd have to pull a sickie! My school didn't understand two hours of cover vs whole day of cover.

I am 23+5 today. Come on, viability! Not that I want to test it out, obvs, but good to know all the same!

jellypi3 · 02/11/2015 08:17

Morning all! :)

lil I'm another one who had bone weary tiredness for around 16 weeks. It was by far my worst symptom because I just felt so tired all the time. So excited for tomorrow for you (and you other scanners this week).

pud eek 15 days! Mental!

I had a letter asking me to repeat a blood test because one of my liver levels were high again. I really can't be bothered!!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/11/2015 08:20

fruit Neom is the business! Enjoy!

5hell I did get my blood test through the post. We were classed low risk which surprised me as I am older. I have another beef with tje NHS though I've had sinus pain for 8 weeks and I asked to be reffered to a specialist. While I was away my appointment came through the post for a community ENT on the 23rd of December... Angry going to pop in and have a chat with my GP this morning. That's just not good enough considering this happens to me every single winter.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/11/2015 09:23

DS & I are going to the Eden Project to renew our locals passes today, just the two of us.

Is anyone having a scan today?

FeatheredTail · 02/11/2015 10:29

Oh lovely, I love Neom, Fruit - enjoy!

Lil I think I read somewhere on the MN site that if you didn't know you were pregnant, then the tiredness would make you think you were dying. This was/is true for me. Like Pud there have been days where a shower has just been too much effort. Reaching over to get my book/remote/phone has been too much effort. Taking make up off has been too much effort. Definitely a symptom!

SecondCupOfTea · 02/11/2015 10:42

I've got (hopefully my last) premature clinic dildocam scan today. Massively busy in the waiting room as only one Dr in scanning today.

Discofairypants · 02/11/2015 10:46

Hi lovely ladies may I join you? I briefly joined the js thread but found out I was expecting quite quickly after. Due to miscarriage in May, I couldn't bear to utter it out loud to anyone for weeks, for fear of jinxing things.

Fast forward 2 months and I'm now 12+3 and had scan last week which showed a very wriggly baby! This will be my 2nd child ( all being well) as I'm mummy to a most gorgeous but cheeky DD, too.

So I'm technically a js grad ... But no one will remember me Grin

SecondCupOfTea · 02/11/2015 10:51

No problem, we can do that 'pretend long lost friends' thing, "Hey, disco, how you doing? Not seen you in ages!" Grin

Congratulations and welcome to the grads Fred.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 02/11/2015 11:05

Hallo all of you brilliant women! I don't know where in the world anyone is or in fact where I am, but I really really needed to say hi waves. I haven't read back before posting this and honestly don't know when I'll be popping in again BUT I haven't forgotten about you at all over the last couple of months. You might recall that my nausea was pretty crummy and I was online less and less as things went along and then just dropped off the radar completely. I've still got nausea although it is finally improving and am still offline most of the time as looking at the flickering screen just seems to make it worse but I have been thinking about everyone a lot. JSbabies, JSfetuses, JShaggers, everyone! :) I hope you have all been as amusing as always and that there has been lots of good news and very little bad news. I miss your banter. Me and PettyAuf are doing fine not counting the fecking nausea ; next scan (20 week one) only at around 23 weeks due to everyone in the world apparently needing scans around the time I need one, so counting down the days. I am pleased to report that my fanjo is not bald, although the same cannot be said of my fridge. From the gist of the title I get the impression you're all on same fridge-space as moi. I seriously need a chocolate cupboard as well. Go well and prosper ye grads of olde!

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 02/11/2015 11:19

Just as a quick note to those suffering badly from tiredness - do get your iron levels checked out. Even having iron levels the lower end of normal can make an enormous difference on your energy levels.

It was almost a bit irritating how much energy I had after starting my enormous iron supplements!!

Definitely worth getting checked.

jellypi3 · 02/11/2015 12:31

Welcome disco :) Nice to see some new "faces" around here :)

Auf!!! OMG i was just thinking of you the other day in a totally non-creepy un-stalkerish way So glad to hear you are ok though and mini-auf is doing well!!

SecondCupOfTea · 02/11/2015 12:43

Glad everything is going well Auf. I too was thinking about you over the weekend which is a bit freaky, I know

jellypi3 · 02/11/2015 12:48

It's like the great big JS'er reunion lol!

I wonder if gliding and rdm have done their babies? I think it's glidings due date today!!!

CarrotPuff · 02/11/2015 13:02

Scan tomorrow lil! So excited for you!

I agree with gouda re iron levels - my bone crushing tiredness got so much better after I started taking iron tablets.

So I told my office manager on Friday that I'm pg. She seemed to be ok about it, and said she'll tell the directors. I feel that she did on the same day, but no one has talked about it to me since, so it's all a bit awkward now Hmm

Thursday I too only have an appt in December. Although I'm planning to go to walk in MW service on Wed to get a referral for spd.

The 28w appt though is such a pita - I have to go for blood test, then have my anti D, and also book a regular MW appt Confused So 3 appts in total...

5hell · 02/11/2015 13:41

welcome back disco (aka fluffy??)
glad you had a good scan - hope the wriggling didn't get in the way of some good pics :)

hey auf - hope the nausea continues to decrease for you, eugh to waiting an extra 3 weeks for you next scan thou - sypathies!

Discofairypants · 02/11/2015 14:17

Thank you for the warm welcome! 5hell I don't think I was known as fluffy too, but may have been! Smile

Scan was ok .., baby quite wriggly but managed to get measurements for screening etc. slightly concerned as I have apparently got one ovary which is enlarged, which I think can sometimes be a cause for concern? Not really sure though. Lady that did scan pissed me right off as told me, then said 'well, I know you're going to worry but there's nothing we can do, sooo.' Erm, helpful, thanks! Anyone ever heard of this? Then spotted in my notes that I have a cyst (which I think is quite common, talking to friends etc).

auf I really hope sickness settles for you soon, it really does suck! I'm still vomming daily but reckoning I'll be same with DD and it'll last til 20 weeks!

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 02/11/2015 14:35

carrot - didn't realise you needed the dreaded anti D as well! I had the first one in my arm which hurt like FUCK and the second (bigger) one the nurse insisted on doing in the top of my butt cheek. Stung like hell, but way less painful than in the arm. Also, no bending over required, just had to sit on the side of the bed thing Grin

I don't know if you get a choice on where you get the injection though.

Wouldn't worry about the directors. Maybe they are just assuming you'd rather not chat about your personal life in the office? Could be loads of reasons, try not to stress if you can Smile

Congratulations and welcome to disco! Did you ask at the scan what the implications were of the enlarged ovary? If it was anything serious then I think she would have been obliged to have told you. If there's nothing to be done, then maybe try to just forget about it - worrying and googling will only stress you out

CarrotPuff · 02/11/2015 17:33

I keep reading but not posting, so by the time I post I forget who said what.

Meant to say welcome Disco, and welcome back auf. Glad to hear you're ok, as I was too wondering where you've disappeared to, but boo for sickness. I hope it passes soon for you both.

Oh god gouda, I completely forgot how painful they are! I think I got mine into the arm. Thankfully they only give you one here, although I did need another one once DS was born as he was Rh D pos. Out of all injections they gave me that was the most painful!

Anyone got good mat trousers? I've ordered some from new look, but didn't like them. I don't need v smart looking ones, just something that is not jeans. Preferably not too expensive too...
