Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Congrats Kate on your BFP! Cramps are normal, as are variations in symptoms.

Cake For everyone with pains and aches. It's not fun.

Hope the rest of your packing goes well jelly. Take it easy.

I feel almost guilty in posting NFMPelvis: it's got much better. It's still really painful to turn over in bed but not so bad the rest of the time as long as I don't overdo it or do something stupid like wear high heels.

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 17:31

Hahaha Thursday yes! I feel blocked up like I need a huge poo...
Good luck for the scan tomorrow - is it 12 or 20 weeks?

I phoned up and made my first midwife appointment today. Eff knows what I'm going to tell work, I don't want them to know until after my first scan really...

honeysucklejasmine · 26/10/2015 17:59

Kate what do you do? You don't have to tell them until quite late but in some jobs you might be best putting a risk assessment in place sooner than later, or need time for vomiting if you get bad MS.

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 18:04

I'm a primary school teacher in ks1 honey . I imagine they are not going to be too pleased as we have a high staff turnover and they are struggling to fill some vacancies as it is. I know they'll be fine to my face though Wink

jellypi3 · 26/10/2015 18:26

Welcome aboard kate :) we've got a couple of teachers on here already!

honeysucklejasmine · 26/10/2015 18:40

Ah! Another one! I think most if us are secondary though. I'm Chemistry. Pud is science but I don't actually know which one....

Tbh I might mention it as soon as symptoms cone along, in case they are a problem. Nothing like having to dash from a classroom to hurl. Puds school have been amazing, so you might be surprised.

Is Ain primary or secondary? I want to say primary...

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/10/2015 18:41

20 weeks tomorrow Kate Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/10/2015 18:44

Scan I mean

KateBeckett · 26/10/2015 18:48

honey I've had some ms already (bought some tests on Sunday when in asda after I nearly threw up in the fruit aisle - banana smell Envy ) but I don't want to tempt fate by telling them so early, plus the face I really doubt they will be amazing... Kind of want to put it off!

I have bought a supply of crackers and queasy drops for my desk though, and haven't felt sick at all today, so fingers crossed I can get away with it for a while!

Oooh exciting Thursday ! Are you finding out the sex or keeping it a surprise?

jellypi3 · 26/10/2015 19:20

Oo ms this early kate! giblets?

Good luck with scan thurs :) are you finding out the sex?

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/10/2015 19:41

I don't want to find out the sex, so hopefully this little bean will keep its legs crossed

FeatheredTail · 26/10/2015 20:26

Don't tell work until you have to or want to Kate - I had to tell my director as she asked (as kindly as she can, her nature being best described as brusque-new-york-no-bull-shit-power-mouth) why I looked so grey and miserable Grin I'm incapable of lying so told her - she has been amazing - won't discuss it or even mention it until I've had my 12 week scan or whenever I choose and has told me to ask for anything I need.

Quite unsettling, given her usual approach!

pretzelpieces · 26/10/2015 22:52

kate I had MS before my bfp too! Welcome to grads fred Grin I also had stretchy womble pains.

honey my DP is physics.

batfish · 27/10/2015 05:47

Congrats Kate! Pretty much all tummy pains are normal so try not to worry!

I'm going a bit mad, haven't been out of the house since Saturday and before that it was Tuesday.....roll on c section recovery and being able to drive again! It's amazing how quickly the days pass when you've got a cute baby to look at but as well as going stir crazy I also feel guilty about not doing anything productive but, well, I've got a cute baby to look at! Wish the weather was cool enough to at least get out for a walk!

honeysucklejasmine · 27/10/2015 06:24

Gx for you today Thursday! Hope babythurs doesn't wave its genitals in your face.

Bat does DH get pat leave, or is it just you? I know policy is different out there. Gx for quick healing!

honeysucklejasmine · 27/10/2015 06:25

Pretzel I didn't realise your DP was a teacher too! We're really everywhere aren't we? Lol!

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/10/2015 07:16

Haha honey that made me laugh!

I had my own version of a scanxiety dream last night - I dreamt that we had the scan, and it seemed ok but then the midwife left the room and literally didn't come back for hours. We even went visiting people in other bits of the hospital while the other one waited in the scan room, but she never came back!
I think I went to see the office or something and they were all like 'yeah everything's totally fine! Shit, didn't tell you that and give you the photos?'

But I also dreamt about going on the piss with my uni friends so I'm not reading too much into it Grin

Bat whatever you do do not feel guilty! Now is not the time to be worrying about anything other than making that baby safe and secure and fed and warm and loving it's life. I hope you're ok though - can you get out for a gentle walk?

KateBeckett · 27/10/2015 07:36

Thanks bat ! I'm a silly worrier a lot of the time Halloween Smile

jelly I just googled early signs of twins... I have the early test result and the early ms but that's all, so I reckon it's just one lil poppy seed. I hope so anyway! Twins is scary shit!

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/10/2015 07:39

I had MS before my BFP too Kate and I've deffo only got one in there Smile

CarrotPuff · 27/10/2015 08:00

Don't be silly bat, you are doing a very productive and hard job - recovering after a major surgery. This is the top priority now and everything else will still be there for you to do once you're well enough. Take care of yourself Thanks

jellypi3 · 27/10/2015 08:34

Aww bat don't feel guilty you have just grown a person and now you are raising one! That's hard work!

So I managed to sleep most of last night with only 3 wake ups to pee, so today I feel amazingly refreshed. The duvet under the bed sheet worker amazingly well for my hip pain.

KateBeckett · 27/10/2015 09:54

Ok, so yesterday I didn't feel sick at all, and was worried it meant somethings was wrong.

Today I feel like utter shot and like I might vomit on our friends who are coming over with their very cute, very lovely toddler.

I am learning quickly to be careful what I wish for Envy

pretzelpieces · 27/10/2015 09:59

Lol kate we've all done that Blush symptoms come and go!

Physio at lunch time. Please please please let them help with my back and hips, I have been hanging on for this.

Jcandy · 27/10/2015 10:00

Yay jelly I'm glad you had a good sleep Smile Hope it continues for you!

Good luck with the scan thursday

Welcome kate and congratulations! You'll learn to appreciate the good days Smile

Ok I'm having a dilemma about the epi-no. Can't decide if I should get one or not when they cost so much money! £100 (when you factor in shipping costs) is a lot of money.

fruitlovingmonkey · 27/10/2015 12:35

Glad your event went well Feathered ahh, champagne! Would it be wrong of me to hide the good stuff before xmas and new year, since I can't join in?!
Welcome Kate it's good to see the bottom end of the stats sheet filling up!
Gx for your scan Thursday
Yay for sleep Jelly
JC it's a small price to pay for an intact fanjo! Obviously I have no experience, maybe ask the grads grads?
Can see how being stuck at home might get boring Bat, have you had many visitors?
