Hey, I've come to join, due 7th with number 2, so 16wks now, but feeling sooooooo ill... Way worse than with DS, feel so ill I can barely do anything except go to work and come home- not like my first pregnancy at all. Anyone else in a similar position?! Not that I'd wish this on anyone else!

ComeLuckyApril · 25/10/2015 13:29

Hello new people :)

I'm still feeling ill at 16 weeks too, though the tiredness is lifting. I'm hoping the sickness will start to go eventually.

PallasCat · 25/10/2015 20:45

Welcome new folks!
Good to see you back, Raluca, I'm fine thank you!

14w today, so I'm officially second trimester! Have told all of our nearest and dearest now, I'm telling my colleagues tomorrow, and then we'll be going public. Actually surprisingly nervous about telling colleagues!

Hope everyone on here is well, I'm mostly over on FB but I do keep checking in here too Smile

brookeberry · 25/10/2015 22:25

Hello, I'm new! Is anyone else 15 weeks? This is my first (after 3 early mcs) so a little nervous. Never got this far before though. I'm having a scan on Tuesday because they couldn't get proper measurements at the 12 wk. Scans always make me nervous!

Cuppachaplz · 25/10/2015 22:44

Hello,
Having had no idea of dates as still BF (and coil still in situ, but we won't go there...), I've finally had a scan, been given a due date, and know which bus to board...
Due on the 16th.

Want2bSupermum · 26/10/2015 00:45

Welcome cuppa and Brooke. I'm 17 weeks today and can't believe how quickly time has flown.

I too had the coil in situ with DS who is now 2.5. I had a CS and my obn pulled it out of DS's hand! DH nearly passed out.

Brooke - I can imagine the worry. I hope everything progresses well and you have a joyful little bundle in your arms in April.

waxweasel · 26/10/2015 11:05

emmac3616 snap! I'm also due 7th with my second Smile also still feeling rotten but my GP prescribed me a totally safe and side effect free anti-sickness drug which has really helped. She also signed me off work for a few weeks and being able to sleep has made such a difference - I'd recommend going to see the dr. They also found I was deficient in vit D which explained some of the tiredness (though the non sleeping 2 year old probably has more to do with it....), so I'm glad I went as I'm now on supplements.

NorthernStep · 26/10/2015 14:34

Hello Ladies, I'm late to the party but thought I would jump on the thread. I'm due on the 21st of April (was moved forward a day at my dating scan) and still trying to convince myself that the nausea is dying down even though the last time I threw up was... last night... for some reason I'm finding it hard to keep my stomach at least a little bit full. Biscuit Was at least happy to reach the 100 day mark as one of the apps on my phone helpfully informed me!

kittenkatzen · 26/10/2015 19:01

supermum did I read that right - your coil was in your baby's hand?? That's mental. Shock

Want2bSupermum · 26/10/2015 19:31

Yes you read that right. My obn nearly dropped him as he was 10lb 6oz plus had my coil in his hand. I had a CS in part because she said there could be complications pulling it out as she couldn't see it clearly on the scans. She assumed it was either in my placenta or deeply imbedded in my uterus lining. One of the specialists was laughing that he had delivered babies where it was inbetween toes.

waxweasel · 26/10/2015 22:08

That's nuts! Had it been in there with him the whole time? I always imagined they were quite pointy - can't have been very comfy for either of you!

Want2bSupermum · 26/10/2015 23:05

Yes it had been in there the whole time. It was awful because when they tried to take it out in my first trimester I was bleeding for ages afterwards. I thought I had lost DS but it turned out well. Was a tough week. Now he is 2.5 and still causing a ruckus. He has about 5% hearing and a speech/development delay. I took last summer off to give him super therapy and the last thing DH and I were planning was to have a 3rd until DS was sorted.

Shatteredmummy81 · 27/10/2015 15:03

Hey ladies I said hi weeks and weeks ago and then life took over and I don't seem to have time to check in. Just wondered is there a FB page linked to this one, may make life easier to keep up lol ??

Rinnyx · 27/10/2015 16:54

Hi ladies and welcome new people
I'm 17+4 weeks today and had app with midwife.
Took a while to find heartbeat but she was happy with the speed and warned me I might need extra scans depending on my 20week scan cause of a low placenta.

Told her I've been a bit worried cause I've not felt anything I can say is 100% defo movement (thanks front, low position placenta) were as with DD and then DS I felt them both early on.

I admit I am more active on the FB closed group, if anyone wants to be added please inbox me here about it xx

suffolkblonde · 27/10/2015 20:13

Hi all,

Hope you're all doing well. I'm 16+3 now and all going well - still feels a bit surreal but am starting to feel a bit of movement so that's making it feel a bit more real!

Do you think it's time to start a new thread to take us through the next trimester, now that most of us have had our 12 week scans? Happy to set one up..

Oopsnumber3 · 27/10/2015 21:32

Hi ladies, sorry for radio silence, have been lurking and reading. I've finally fessed up to work but I'm still completely embarrassed when anyone congratulates me...at least I don't have to disguise the belly anymore!

I can't work out whether I'm feeling movement or not. I think it's probably just tightenings as I've an anterior placenta yet again and this would be early to feel anything for me (15+3, DD was 21ish weeks and DS at least 18 weeks)

Has anybody started the dreaded heartburn yet? I suffer terribly with it in pg and I'm waiting for the acid axe to fall any minute Smile

kittenkatzen · 28/10/2015 08:36

No movement here yet either, but I'm only 15+2 so still a bit early. Think I was 16/17wks with DS. Midwife appt next Thursday, really hoping she'll look for the heartbeat then. Have got a Doppler thingy but too scared to get it out until she's had a go first, don't want to spend the next week terrified if I can't find it!

No heartburn here....don't remember getting it with DS either so maybe I'll be lucky and escape that again, doesn't sound like fun at all.

rinnyx I'd like an add for the Fb group please, I'm over there much more than here so would be easier to keep up. Will pm you!

MrWriter · 28/10/2015 08:57

oops I had the dreaded heartburn with ds, I was necking bottles of gaviscon! I thought I felt a wee bit the other night, but I chewed a gaviscon tablet and that seemed to help it! It didn't arrive this early the last time!

ComeLuckyApril · 28/10/2015 09:00

This is my first, so I don't really know what's movement and what's my digestion system. Do think I felt the odd weird feeling in there, but just don't know. 16+4 so lots of time for the feelings to get more real. Only really feel it late at night when I'm concentrating on it, so I could be imagining things. Mostly like a bit of my tummy turning over, but I did imagine a kind of popping feeling as well. Reminds me of ttc, causing symptoms by reading about them and then imagining I had them!

Is anyone else very achy? I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow so will ask, but all around the groin/tops of legs, thighs sometimes right down to the knee and inside thighs if I open them wide.

Oopsnumber3 · 28/10/2015 19:57

MrWriter stuffing my face with chocolate after a very buttery, cheesey baked potato probably won't help avoid the heartburn Blush

I despair of myself, I really do.

Londonlady2015 · 28/10/2015 20:00

Hi all,

How do I go about joining the FB group?

MazzleDazzle · 28/10/2015 20:07

Wow supermum I am Shock!

I never realised you could get pregnant with the coil. That's crazy to then have to keep it in with your baby for nine months.

Got my flu jab today and I have my first appt with the consultant tomorrow. Midwife has said he'll more than likely recommend a planned section after my previous two emergency ones. Will find out tomorrow.

Last pregnancy I had to go for weekly check ups in the last trimester as my first was premature. Really hoping that there's no need for that this time as second pregnancy went to full term and with 2 kids and a job I dread to think how I'd fit them in!

DH went away for work yesterday for 3 weeks. By the time he comes home I'll be at the halfway point! Grin

Want2bSupermum · 28/10/2015 20:16

You can also get pregnant on the pill and the mini pill. I try not to talk about it too much on MN and in RL because so many of my friends and others here on MN have had a lot of fertility problems. I see it that I'm extremely lucky compared to my friends and others on here who have had devestating losses.

Moving on, I'm gaining weight and I need to control it better. I started this pregnancy too heavy and I'm worried I'll end up with GD.

I've felt baby for a couple of weeks now. Ds was huge and I think in stretched out.

pingoose · 28/10/2015 20:24

ComeLuckyApril my midwife said at night (lying down) when you're concentrating on it is when you will feel movement! So it probably is :)

14+1 here and finally feeling a bit better. Also finally told everyone, it's nice to not have to watch what I'm saying anymore!

FatimaLovesBread · 29/10/2015 08:32

Welcome to all the newbies.
I'll do a proper post later. I posted last week about feeling rubbish and thinking low iron etc. I'm feeling slightly better now, but pelvis pain has now kicked in.

Has anyone started to think about birth options? I've got a consultant appointment in a couple of weeks so I've started to think about it. Getting myself a bit nervous.
