Lovely to see everyone's scan pics. It makes it all a bit more real doesn't it? Although even though I've had my scan, the fact i'm not showing yet or cant feel it move, it's still a bit mind boggling that there is actually a little person in there! I still sometimes forget for a moment. Oops they couldn't get a nuchal measurement at my scan either, so i'm also going back for the quadruple test. Good luck with your scan tomorrow Pallas

Question for everyone - is anybody else waking up with nausea in the middle of the night? First trimester was really unpleasant for me (nausea, not sleeping through the night), but at about 12 weeks things became so much better. But now, just this last week and a bit, I've been jerking awake afraid I'm going to be sick. I'm not, but it's still extremely unpleasant. Anybody else having this?

crumblybiscuits · 18/10/2015 21:06

13+3 and still waking up with nausea in the wee hours too thunder, no sickness but I have to rock myself for a bit before I can lie back down. I have been sick a couple of times after being sickness free for weeks though!

Want2bSupermum · 18/10/2015 21:35

I had a couple of weeks when I woke up I threw up. I had a bucket next to the bed. Thank goodness DH was away for most of the time! Poor guy has been brilliant with the kids while I have slept for most of the weekends on the sofa.

thundernlightning · 19/10/2015 00:16

Phew. Thanks ladies! It's good to know I'm not alone in the nighttime grossness.

MrWriter · 19/10/2015 11:22

Hi all,

Haven't been on here for a while, I'd sloped over to the darkside FB!!

Nice to catch up with everyone that's here though.
Yes, I've been waking in the middle of the night for a pee for ages now but as of last night I've also been feeling queasy, its like the first trimester again. I'm in work and I've scoffed 2 x croissants and a piece of toast and I'm dreaming of chips for lunch!! What the hell.

MazzleDazzle · 19/10/2015 18:03

Waking up with nausea sounds horrible! It's bad enough feeling pukey throughout the daytime, never mind at night.

Every time I think the worst of the pregnancy symptoms has passed, I get a thumping headache or have to go to bed! I'm sure I didn't feel like this during my last two pregnancies. My youngest is nearly four and a half though, so it's been so long since I was pregnant that I feel like it's my first time all over again!

ComeLuckyApril · 19/10/2015 18:57

Poor you :( The nausea seems to be suppressed while I'm asleep, though if I wake up in the night I am always starving. It kicks in about 10 minutes after I wake up in the morning. Still, holding out for it getting better Any Time Now. Everyone's promising I'll feel better at 16 weeks, only 5 days to go then!

crumblybiscuits · 19/10/2015 19:54

Hope it went well today pallas

MazzleDazzle · 20/10/2015 08:55

I'm the same ComeLuckyApril and so long as I have something to eat as soon as I wake, then I'm ok. I'm most likely to feel pukey on an empty stomach or indeed if I'm full up! Little and often is the key for me.

It's half term here, so I'm off work and the kids are off school. Think we might either go to see the new Peter Pan movie or go ice-skating. Youngest is only 4 though, so now sure how well she'd manage!

PallasCat · 20/10/2015 10:34

All well at the scan yesterday - I'll post a scan pic in a bit. Hospital didn't comment on probability based on nuchal fold as they do the combined assessment with bloods too, so I'll hear by letter. But measurement was 1.5mm which as I understand it is nowt to worry about.

PallasCat · 20/10/2015 16:22

PallasKitten at 13+1. Nub theorists and skull theorists, I'd love to hear your guesses!

Boy skull I would hazard a guess at!

MazzleDazzle · 21/10/2015 11:32

I'd say boy too!

Was in Marks & Spencer yesterday and they have some beautiful baby clothes. I resisted though. If I start now I'll end up with far too much by the end!

kittenkatzen · 22/10/2015 16:43

Hello ladies, have you got room for a latecomer please? I'm 14+3 with dc2, due 18th April.

I've had 2 missed miscarriages since ds was born 2yrs ago, both found at first scans. So was VERY relieved to see this little wriggler alive and kicking last week! Am feeling a bit disconnected from this pregnancy though, due to spending the first 12wks in denial just in case it all went wrong again....I'm hoping having a nice bunch of ladies to chat to will help with that Smile

pingoose · 23/10/2015 06:42

Welcome kitten! Glad to hear it's all going well for you this time :)

RalucaMorena · 23/10/2015 19:07

Waves at everybody!
Sorry I disappeared like a donkey in the mist but my husband and I decided not to tell anyone until we are sure this baby is fine.
So here I am, 12w+5d. Had a scan today (again, I had one every 2 weeks after i turned 6 w pg) and our little peep is fine, measuring 13w+1d. Nuchal translucency is normal and bloods will tell about the risk.
Carrot and Pallas I hope you are fine.

Want2bSupermum · 23/10/2015 19:33

Hello kitten welcome to the April thread.

I've been rather busy this week and I'm really tired. Can't believe I'm going to be 17 weeks on Sunday. This pregnancy is flying by!

ZJB1986 · 23/10/2015 20:11

Hello all thought I'd introduce myself I'm Zoe and expecting my first baby HOPEFULLY 21st April 2016
I haven't had chance to read all 30 pages yet sorry lol hope your all doing OK. If anyone would like to inbox me please feel free. I'm so excited yet so nervous and scared at the same time lol

I've not really had any sickness only when I've eaten something baby don't like (to my sadness Yorkshire puddings lol my face but baby hates them lol) I've had really bad emotions though different every day fromfeelin angry at the slightest thing or upset over anything! I've had a little bit of bloated ness not alot- is that unusual?? I'm bit built anyways so maybe it's because of that I don't know lol

crumblybiscuits · 23/10/2015 20:15

Raluca Carrot unfortunately miscarried and is no longer watching this thread Sad

Hello ZJB and welcome. I am due on the 22nd! If this is your first baby I wouldn't have even known I was pregnant with my first until I got a bump at 16 weeks! Congratulations.

ZJB1986 · 23/10/2015 20:34

Thank you crumblybiscuits i found out when i was 6 weeks, that was only because of having alot of the signs plus 2 missed periods! BUT after 6 negative home pregnancy tests, one negative test at my local chemist, and then i went to see my GP because i just knew i was, sent my urine sample off and it took them doing a lab test to find out lol!! madness!

Awww congratulations!! Due 1 day after mine!! Would i be okay to inbox you? would be nice to be friends with someone so close to my own due date :)

RalucaMorena · 23/10/2015 20:36

Oh! So sorry to hear that! Sad

helensburgh · 23/10/2015 22:36

Hi checking back in. Lovely to see scan pics.
Awaiting rescan this wed to see if our baby has congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Looked suspicious for it 2 weks ago.
Have been trying not to think about it.
