Lovely picture there Cherry!

thundernlightning · 10/10/2015 01:24

Aww, look at that! So happy for you Cherry!

pingoose · 10/10/2015 06:47

Great pic cherry!
I had my 12 week scan yesterday, but at 11+2 was too early for the nuchal test so have to go back in a week.
My skin has just exploded this week. Face, chest and back. It's the worst Angry. How's everyone else doing?

Rinnyx · 10/10/2015 07:42

Lovely pic cherry
I've been up since just before 7...stupid body clock, I miss weekend sleep ins!

Been having a few painful stabby/achy pains this morning but I'm trying not to worry and just telling myself it's growing pains.

Definitelysometime · 11/10/2015 11:02

Just caught up with everything. What sad sad news about carrot, how awful. I'm so sorry. Lovely to see some of your scan pics. Hope everyone is feeling well / better. I'm getting there as I approach 14 weeks.

Have always been determined not to find out the sex, as I didn't with DD, but am really wavering now. Feels like SO long to wait. Think I might cave and find out (if we can!)

I'm in the same boat here Definitely!

Didn't find out with DD1 and it was such a lovely surprise. She arrived 8 weeks early and my DH was out of the country, so sadly he didn't get to share it.

With my DD2, the sonographer gave me his best hunch, which turned out to be right. The birth was still eventful - 15 days late and another emergency section.

This time it's been recommended that I have a planned section, so I think it would be nice to get a surprise. I know it will be tough to resist though! Even more so, as due to previous complications my consultant wants me to go for extra scans!

CousinChloe · 13/10/2015 17:12

Hi all,

I've not been around for ages, but just checking in again to say hi, feeling a bit more real now I've had my 12 week scan.

Keen to join you all on Facebook, think I've pm'd you mummyofonesofar so hopefully will be there soon!

I'm still holding firm to our plan not to find out the sex - love the excitement on the day!

AmpleRaspberries · 13/10/2015 20:53

Hi everyone. Mummyofonesofar is a bit cream cracker ed at the moment so has made several of us admits on the fb group so we can also add people. So if anyone wants to pm me I should be able to add you, and hopefully a couple more admins will post on here too

FatimaLovesBread · 14/10/2015 01:31

Hi all. Trying to catch up, haven't posted for a while. Am now 15 weeks and feeling poo.

Is anyone suffering from anaemia? I think I may be although they never rang to say my booking in bloods were out. I had anaemia with DR and I feel like that, just awful. I've got midwife next week and don't know whether to wait for that or fit in a doctors appt before.

Also, does anyone suffer from anxiety and find theirs is getting worse? I suppose if I am anaemic it won't be helping any

Hope everyone else is feeling better than I am. will try catch up with the last few pages

CousinChloe · 14/10/2015 07:20

Oh poor you Fatima, sounds horrid. Were you able to sort out the anaemia last time? Hope so.

No experience of anxiety myself, but a few friends have done - is it worth mentioning when you go see someone about the anaemia? They might be able to help.

Rinnyx · 14/10/2015 07:42

I am also an admin now if anyone wants to be added to the FB group xx

waxweasel · 14/10/2015 07:52

Fatima I am 14+5 and in the same boat. I'm so sorry you're feeling so rough. I have just been feeling completely drained and exhausted constantly, as if I'm recovering from flu or something. Even having a shower seems like a massive undertaking! Yesterday I was looking after DD and I fainted, then came round and couldn't stop throwing up. I'm on anti emetics so had been much better on the sickness front so it was a bit of a surprise. Went to the gp and she sent off my bloods as she thought it might be anaemia. Am really hoping it is so that I can easily fix it! Hope you get yours sorted too.

I also suffer from anxiety and it's ramping up. I didn't know there might be a link to anaemia. It's not as bad as it was last time, and I don't know how much of it is just reasonable anxiety about looking after DD while ill and guilt at not doing more with her and watching too much tv, and how much is crazy hormonal anxiety. Do keep an eye on it as it can really spiral - looking back, I was completely off my rocker last time round and should really have got some help xx

waxweasel · 14/10/2015 07:53

Rinnyx, I'd love an add if you wouldnt mind! I'll PM you

Want2bSupermum · 14/10/2015 14:13

I am taking iron for anemia. Still breathless but it isn't as bad. Still tired but not as exhausted. Obn told me it would take 2-4 weeks to start feeling better.

Oopsnumber3 · 14/10/2015 15:20

Wriggley Diglet was bouncing around all over the place so the scan wasn't very serene! Means they couldn't do the nuchal fold test so I'm back in a couple of weeks for the Quadruple blood test instead. Seems I have another Mexican jumping bean on my hands!

waxweasel · 14/10/2015 15:39

Congratulations Oops! Sorry they didn't get the nuchal measurement - sure that happened to someone else on here recently too.

Turns out my deficiency isn't iron, but vit D - glad I caught it either way! Hope your supplements have you feeling better soon Want2be

helensburgh · 14/10/2015 19:09

Hi can I join. I've been lurking but didn't want to join till my 12 week scan ironically incase I jinxed things.
So 12 week scan didn't go well possible congenital diaphragmatic hernia . Wanted me to wait 7 weeks for another scan but I am so anxious I oersuaded force weeks.
I've no idea what to think. Other than to wait and see.

MazzleDazzle · 15/10/2015 17:03

Hi helensborough, so sorry for what you're going through. I've never heard of that condition before. Is it quite rare? What do you know about it? What a worry for you. Flowers

woundbobbin · 15/10/2015 18:19

That sounds stressful Helen - and a long wait for more news.
I had a HB of 116 at 13wks - midwife says that's borderline I'm reluctant to take ferrous sulphate because it's so constipating and has borderline benefit. I told the midwife I'd eat some green veg and have a bottle of red wine (she didn't find that last bit very funny) she will recheck again at 28 weeks. I do feel like shit though so hope I can push it up with some dietary changes although vomiting doesn't help.

Want2bSupermum · 15/10/2015 19:38

Hello helen and I really feel for you. We had an issue with DD's heart at her 18 weeks scan and thank goodness that by birth it had just about cleared up.

If they haven't already performed the Harmony test I would suggest you request they perform one. I have genetic issues running rampant in my family and the test identifies markers in the babies DNa. It's not as accurate as an amino but it's much less invasive as only a blood test. The test has been accurate enough to show issues with other family members.

I would ask now as here in the US where I am it takes 3 weeks for the test to be processed. It might take longer in the UK.

Oopsnumber3 · 15/10/2015 22:04

Hugs helen, that must be really scary for you. Hope they can give you some positive news soon x

crumblybiscuits · 16/10/2015 09:14

Could cry with relief! NT is small, baby has no markers for chromosonal disorders. I was sick with nerves before I went in after it being angel DD's due date yesterday. So thrilled!

Fab news crumbly, great scan pic!

Rinnyx · 16/10/2015 13:13

Glad all went well crumbly xx

Well I'm 16 weeks today and finally was able to talk to the head, he seemed happy and congratulated me then had me join the teachers morning meeting to share the news...so now I feel I can relax more and not hide my huge bump Blush

Want2bSupermum · 16/10/2015 14:02

Great news guys! It's hard to tell people.
