With my first it wasn't til 6 months I just popped, with 2nd it was about 3/4 months but cause this is DC3 I think my body knows the drill
And popped a good few weeks ago Blush

Fragmin is a blood thinner Carrotvan. You have to inject it into your stomach or thigh everyday for the duration of the pg. it's only because Bucks where I live are so completely risk averse and I have several factors on their scoresheet that put me at (low) risk of blood clot. It's not much fun but I had to do it last time too so not a new experience but an ouchy annoying one.
People sometimes get given it for 7 days after c section too but it depends on your area.

ashboo76 · 29/09/2015 16:34

Wow Rinnyx 6 months! Thank you all and having text my bestie she reeked if a list if no showers but growers too think I just need to see it's there then I'll enjoy no show for aslong as poss ... 3 sleeps Confused

Urgh feeling crap today. Most nauseous I've been and super emotional too. Not helped by a woman at work (who luckily I have limited contact with) making a really rude comment to me and accusing me of being at fault in something which I wasn't, all this in front of the boss, a very important visitor and one other person. Actually dead impressed with myself for having stood my ground, but it left me feeling really shaken and low - basically wasted the next hour and a half at work as I was too upset to focus effectively on anything. Other colleagues were really supportive and defensive of me when I told them later, but most don't know I'm PG and those that do I don't think realise that I'm feeling really vulnerable at the moment. Apologies for rant, just needed that off my chest!

Welcome shattered and sezra, and thanks all re comments about scan. I'll follow it up again but just don't feel I have the energy today.

Lovely pic oops, even if it is too early for an assessment!

PallasCat · 29/09/2015 17:17

Oh also, on nosebleeds - I'm getting them too, which isn't a surprise as I've been prone to them all my life. It's for the same reason as PG women are more likely to get bleeding gums etc - increased blood combined with softening of mucous membranes, I think? But I'm sure that those of you who are physically sick, the pressure from that would also contribute.

Right. Motivating myself to hang out some washing, then off to bed.

waxweasel · 29/09/2015 19:31

I'm having really bad chest pains Sad not heartburn, just a stabbing pain on one side. It comes and goes but when it's there it stabs when I breathe in too deeply or do anything physical like pick up DD. It seems to coincide with exertion rather than eating. Was being a bit flaky about not bothering going to the gp just about the feeling tired and sick, but I have made an appointment now as I feel like I'm falling to bits!

Thankfully SIL has volunteered to take DD out for pizza and cake tomorrow so I'll get a rest Smile must not succumb to the temptation to sort out our building site of a house and actually rest instead!

Sorry to all the others feeling rough Flowers

pingoose · 29/09/2015 20:33

Dellabob123 I'm also using Ovia - today it told me baby is the size of a lego man, which DH can finally relate to!

I've been fooling myself that I'm "showing" - I've just been eating so much to keep the nausea away, I've put on about 4 lbs. I tracked my food on My Fitness Pal the other day, and was shocked by how many calories I've been eating! Not much I can do about it at the moment though, it's the only thing stopping me from being ill.

Had my first scary pregnancy dream last night! A friend told me how she was left alone by the midwives for 3 nights in the ward the other day, and so I dreamed about being abandoned with the baby in the hospital. It woke me up with a shock!

tappitytaptap · 29/09/2015 21:35

I feel like the odd one out! 14+4 with definite bump - everyone can tell! I am tall and slim too so thought it would take longer!

crumblybiscuits · 29/09/2015 21:55

I can see exactly where baby is first thing in the morning and I have a little bump too tappity but this is my third pregnancy and I've just lost ten pounds in the past two weeks so I think it's just more noticeable.

MsGlitterJunkie · 29/09/2015 22:42

Welcome shattered & serza, congratulations!

Flowers to everyone feeling rough, I've had a horrible cold these past few days but thankfully easing off now.

I'm 13+2 with my first and not really showing, if anything I just look a bit bloated at the end of the day. Still in my normal clothes and away on hols and not needed to buy anything new although my boobs are rather big now & v sore, might be time to swap to non-wired bras but I'm quite busty so worried about the lack of support!

CarrotVan · 30/09/2015 09:14

Similar to Klexane then oops - I had to inject that after my c-section

I feel dreadful today. I think I have a bug

Dragonfly2 · 30/09/2015 10:18

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and am 11 weeks with IVF twins. I was wondering if any ladies on here have experienced a loss of symptoms around this time? I have never had sore boobs, constipation or any fatigue at all, but I have been experiencing severe sickness since week 7 for which I was medicated and off work. But the last 3 days the sickness has vanished and it's making me panic because now I don't feel pregnant at all. I have had several friends who have sufferd very sad missed miscarriages with symptom loss and now getting more paranoid by the day. I have not yet had a date for a 12 week scan and am going crazy with worry. Also I am not showing at all which I thought I would be by now with two beans in there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sezramum · 30/09/2015 11:24

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes.

Sorry for those of you who are feeling rough. Hope you day gets better Pallas

Welcome Dragonfly and congratulations! You must be very excited. I believe it is quite common around 11 weeks for symptoms to lessen or disappear (MW told me this during one of my earlier panics) but if you are concerned, I would speak to your midwife about it. Better to have your mind put at rest. I would also chase up your scan date as you should have that by now. I am sure it varies between areas but personally, I would be chasing as I am a bit impatient! Blush

Dragonfly2 · 30/09/2015 11:43

Thanks, it's only been 11 days since my booking appointment so I appreciate there may be a slight delay with a date for a scan but I feel like I may miss the "timeframe" for a NT. I've bottled it and booked a private scan for tomorrow afternoon. Now I'm worried about that! I'm a nightmare! If they are still ok I will chase the midwife later tomorrow for my official 12 week appointment. It's very difficult because we haven't told anyone and my husband is sick of hearing me constantly worry. It's hard when he isn't feeling what im feeling and I can't talk to anyone else. It's so lovely to have someone to speak to / listen on here. I know it won't change the outcome but the reassurance and support is really appreciated. X

sixnearlyseven · 30/09/2015 11:56

Symptoms can lessen at 11 weeks as our placentas are taking over I think. Though I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and still throwing up. Hope everyone else is feeling ok. How cute about our babies being the size of lego men will tell my 4 yr old that x

ashboo76 · 30/09/2015 12:05

Welcome dragonfly I've had same wobbles this week sickness totally gone but got tiredness and sore boobs however not showing at all had a big cry yesterday but lovely ladies on here reassured me ... I've got first scan Friday so fx and good luck tomo fir you xx

Sezramum · 30/09/2015 12:51

There always seems to be something to worry about, you are not alone! I am just trying to deal with each step as it happens but earlier in my pregnancy I was a bit of a wreck!

When I had my early scan I worried that they wouldn't find anything but there was my little blob with a heart beat! Scan 2 was last week as part of my private nuchal testing and even before that I worried although everything was fine. Now I am worrying about my nuchal testing! It never ends but I think I am getting a bit better each time another milestone is passed! Smile

Best of luck for your scans Dragon and ashboo

Rinnyx · 30/09/2015 15:42

Well I told the yr1 staff today after we got told some children are off with a contagious infection.
They were really sweet and it was nice not to hide it anymore (14 weeks Friday)

I'm still feeling rubbish and I have good as lost my voice, the children commented I sound different

PallasCat · 30/09/2015 17:19

There always seems to be something to worry about

^^ Definitely this!

Welcome dragonfly Flowers and congrats! Smile

Starting to feel really rough - think I'm coming down with something - aching in my throat and slightly congested.

Want2bSupermum · 30/09/2015 20:51

Had my scan late last night and both kids were there. Dd took a picture into school this morning and added it to her family picture.

Everything is good and I have a very active baby in there that was jumping around and sucking its thumb at one point.

The labs forgot to submit my harmony testing and I told the genetic councillor it's my 3rd and I'm happy to wait until the next scan to see if there are any issues. Im now booked in for my next scan on November 23rd when we will find out if it's a boy or girl.

daisygirlmac · 30/09/2015 21:17

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post here, I'm 11 weeks with my first baby and it's all been fairly hideous so far. I've been bleeding constantly for about 4 weeks and am under the EPAU having weekly scans at the moment as nobody can seem to decide why I'm bleeding. Little bean has been fine at every scan but each week I can feel the stress building until I get scanned again. Another scan tomorrow so I'm about at peak stress again, also had a revolting cold all week and feeling v grotty and fed up. Sorry for the essay! My OH is sick of me moaning on Smile

Dragonfly2 · 30/09/2015 22:22

Hi daisygirl, Im also new on here and it's already been a huge help to have people to talk to so I just thought I'd pop on and say good luck for tomorrow. I too am having a scan in the afternoon and know what you mean about "peak stress". I have found myself desperately wanting the scan to hurry up so I will know if my two are ok, and in equal measure dreading going incase it's bad news. Either way the ladies on here seem wonderful and are full of support and positivity which is such a comfort when we are busy being so pessimistic .
I'm sorry you have had so much bleeding but thankfully so far your bean seems wonderfully underwhelmed at all the worry it's causing it's poor mum. I'm sure tomorrow will be fine as the others have been.
Sending you hugs and best of luck.

CarrotVan · 01/10/2015 07:24

Welcome everyone.

I have chicken pox despite the immunoglobulin booster. As soon as the GP opens I need to get them moving on antiviral treatment. Bloody hell - two miscarriages before this pregnancy worked out and now lots of risk added in. It's going to stressful until the birth now

ComeLuckyApril · 01/10/2015 08:21

I'm at 'peak stress' too before my scan tomorrow. Barely slept at all last night, all anxiety dreams. Shared my fears with DH especially about things like the tests (I researched what a bad result might mean, why I do this to myself...). So he slept badly too.

Oh no Carrot, how scary! Hopefully between the booster and some antivirals, things will be OK.

waxweasel · 01/10/2015 09:36

Oh Carrot, what utterly crap luck. I'm so sorry. I hope the antivirals work. Will you get extra monitoring to provide you with some reassurance as the pregnancy progresses?

Welcome all the new people, and sorry to hear that some of you have had such a rough time so far. Constant bleeding sounds really tough - no wonder you're feeling anxious daisygirl, but good news that the baby seems to be ok
