Scan this morning, pushed me back a couple of days to 30 March but hurrah! All is fine (as far as can be seen), I'm not making it up, there's only one... Yay.

ashboo76 · 28/09/2015 15:52

Yey for scans boo for you poorly ladies ... Must admit tho I feel worse in last week than I did with MS ... No energy breathless and teary hiding under my duvet today don't care ... Start again tomo Confused

Rinnyx · 28/09/2015 16:16

I still feel like crap and throat is killing me but it's good I went in as the teacher was off sick so had to help the temp with how the class is run.
I'm one of them try to 'suck it up and get on with it' people
I think my 6am starts is just running my body down fast and I have to stay late Thursday for training...
Thankfully MIL has surprised me and picked me up from work so no hanging about and catching 2 buses home.

ashboo76 · 28/09/2015 16:44

For the record I wasn't off sick I don't work in the shop Mondays i do the wages for 12 staff /bills/banking/ordering and general admin so glad today ... I only cost myself money if I'm off sick as I own the company aso it's not a choice I have

PallasCat · 28/09/2015 16:59

Left a message with MW and also called hospital where I'm booked - the lady there said they're inundated at the moment and are doing them in date order because they have to prioritise Hmm. She said if I call early next week they should have a date for me. Gah! She was also referring to it as 14-week scan... feel like that is a little bit an attempt to make me think it needn't be happening soon. I know there is a window around the twelve week mark, but they're widely known as 12 weeks scans, right?! They can be done upto 14 weeks.

Hoping my MW will call them and maybe get things moving... If I've not heard in a few days I'll speak to MW again. I consistently ovulate early in my cycle, so if they are aiming for 14 weeks, the foetus I think will probably be past 14 weeks.

I really don't want to share the news openly until after the scan, and I really don't want to have to wait another month to do that! Wouldn't be a secret by then anyone as I'm already showing now. Hmmph.

PallasCat · 28/09/2015 17:00

Ashboo sorry you're feeling so low. Flowers FX for a better day tomorrow hun.

AmpleRaspberries · 28/09/2015 17:16

Unfortunately when in work I was spending more time with my head down the toilet than at my desk, so they kept sending me home anyway. Thankfully, despite the relatively new role, I've been in the company almost as long as its been going so they know this is very out of the ordinary for me. I do feel lucky they are being so good about it, I hate being off.

ashboo76 · 28/09/2015 18:17

Thanks Pallas DH home with practically a basket of fruit bless him (only thing I fancy) film and early night for me.

Ample raspberries sounds horrible and if they're sending you home then rightly so I would do the same with my girls and have done in the past ... Whoever said you're pregnant not ill must have been a man!

Oopsnumber3 · 28/09/2015 19:26

Scan this morning was very quick as it turns out the Triglet is 10+3 rather than 13+2 according to dated. Means I ovulated 3 weeks late so no wonder we got caught out! Back in 14 Oct for another scan as baby too weeny for the tests. My first antenatal clinic appt has come through for 8 Oct which I am not looking forward to as they will put me on Fragmin for the duration and that sucks big massive hairy balls.

Oopsnumber3 · 28/09/2015 19:27

AND my pelvic floor is doing its customary falling out. Thank you Mother Nature, you old witch.

Definitelysometime · 28/09/2015 20:05

Lovely scan pics ladies. Mine is tomorrow morning - at LAST! By LMP I will be 12 weeks exactly so I'm hoping they don't push my dates back too much. Cycles have been more erratic since having DD so I'm not too sure.

So sorry for all those feeling so rough. It's just awful. Are you taking anything for it? Really hope the end is in sight for you soon.

How do we get to fb? On phone so can't scroll back to far!

woundbobbin · 28/09/2015 21:53

For FB you pm mumofonesofar ( hope I've remembered right) then she will add you to the super secret group.
Sorry to those of you feeling grim my sickness appears to have finally stopped am almost 14 weeks and reckon by 15 I'll be in the clear, Which should mean I can eat some of dd's birthday cake this week. I get nosebleeds with the sickness as well I think it's just the propulsion or is pregnancy a anti coagulant I can't remember.
Anyway for those feeling awful FX it improves you have my every sympathy.

Rinnyx · 29/09/2015 07:13

I didn't know the FB group was up, can someone PM me please? xx

I'm still feeling rotten today, again so violently sick I had a stunner of a nosebleed. I don't think the sickness is due to baby but rather working with kids who don't cover when they cough or sneeze...
Hope I'm better by Thursday for training and also DP now has a move date (Monday) so he's mad packing and going to crash at his parents place til our house is finished. (December FX)

Shatteredmummy81 · 29/09/2015 08:14

Hi ladies I'm a bit late to the party hope you don't mind someone else joining in? I'm Sarah and currently 12 weeks preg with our second. Had our scan yesterday and amazing to see it wiggling around. They dated me 12 wks exactly so DD 11/4/16 :) x

ashboo76 · 29/09/2015 08:42

Ladies I'm having a wobble I'm
12 weeks today first scan Friday and I in bits thinking I should be showing by now ... I'm terrified .... I'm 5'9 size 12 first baby ... Are you all showing??

CarrotVan · 29/09/2015 08:50

ashboo 11+1 here, 5'6, size 12 and not showing. My waistbands feel a bit tighter but nothing that anyone would notice. I'm pretty sure I was using hair bobbles to extend my waistbands by this point with DS1. Also no boob growth, no nausea (less than last time which was minimal). Not really any symptoms at all. If I hadn't had two early scans showing a baby with a heartbeat I would have no clue. I was expecting to show earlier this time because apparently you usually do because your stomach muscles aren't as strong.

Welcome shattered

What is Fragmin oops. I've never heard of it.

DS1 has recovered from his chicken pox. I seem to be fighting off a big so I'm hoping the immunoglobulin worked and if I have caught it it's stopped it getting to the rash stage. It would be nice to have immunity without having actually been properly ill! Next I need to call the screening midwives to find out if they can do another immunity test when I have my dating scan blood tests

crumblybiscuits · 29/09/2015 08:51

No definitely not ashboo especially with your first. I didn't show until 16 weeks with my first. Your baby will only just be poking out from behind your pubic bone right now, nowhere near giving you a bump yet. In subsequent pregnancies the uterus rises up quicker, giving the idea that everyone has a bump but you as a first time mum. Try not to worry Flowers

Shatteredmummy81 · 29/09/2015 09:26

I didn't have any bump til about 16 weeks with ds1. This time my stomach is a bit shot from a section so the bumps just started to show. Just at that, is she fat or pregnant stage lol

Sezramum · 29/09/2015 10:03

Hi all Smile

I hadn't wanted to rush and join the thread due to a previous MC but I am feeling a bit more confident now!

I am expecting DC4 due 23/04/2016, I am 10+3 today and feeling very bloated and already at the fat or pregnant stage. It doesn't help that I eat more due keep the nausea at bay.

Pallas the scan is normally carried out around the 12 weeks for dating purposes but also the nuchal test is done at this time if you opt for it. I believe that if you are passed 14 weeks, you are too late for this and will then need to have a blood test as an alternative. If you want the nuchal scan, I would push for it earlier so that you are definitely within the window for testing.

ashboo76 · 29/09/2015 10:23

Thank you all so much! I've stopped crying ... God roll on Friday it's killing me xx

Dellabob123 · 29/09/2015 11:16

Morning, well I am in maternity jeans today! My skinnies were just killing me yesterday so i bit the bullet and hunted them down. Its harder as I've not told work yet, so struggling to disguise. Anyway, decided to tell my boss tomorrow when he's in the office. Quite nervous as I still feel like a newbie despite being in the job for 10 months and don't want to let them down, which is ridiculous, I know.

Sorry for everyone still feeling rough, hoping it all smoothes out soon.

I'm 13+1 today and enjoying the daily ovia info - anyone else using Ovia to track?

CarrotVan · 29/09/2015 11:37

Pallas they can do nuchal screening from 11+2 to 14+1 - after that they can do other tests at about 16 weeks

Welcome sezra

AmpleRaspberries · 29/09/2015 14:03

Welcome sezra and shattered

ashboo as above I was over 16 weeks before I had anything noticeable. Glad you're feeling a bit better.
