Also interested in maternity jeans advice like Pingoose!

Jenijena · 24/09/2015 06:51

I preferred over the bump jeans last time (I'm short and dumpy to begin with and felt under the bump might fall down). But I've got a friend who preferred under bump... Not much help! I think over the bump are better if you have a c section as there's nothing there to irritate the scar but I'm not speaking from personal experience there.

They were the comfiest trousers EVER though. Think my favourite pair came from jojomamanbebe. This time I want to get a few things from vertbaudet.

Rinnyx · 24/09/2015 07:31

On movement with DD it was around 6 months and with DS it was about 14 weeks but been told I have a low, front placenta this time so won't feel movement til later Sad

On clothes, I had and again have a mix of over and under bump all bought from H&M this time.
Last time I went to new look but this time round they seem really bad fitting

MrWriter · 24/09/2015 08:56

So I told the in-laws last night at dinner and they had already guessed! They both said ooh we knew but didn't want to say, are you 12 weeks!!!

Typical.

I have to tell my new boss today, I was hoping she'd be in early so I could sneak a chat, but she's still not here.

CarrotVan · 24/09/2015 09:31

I had a mix last time pingoose - it depends on the shape of you and the shape of your bump really. I found I wore the over bump ones all the time once the bump started to get lower but before that I wore either

My most comfortable trousers last time were wide leg flowing jersey trousers with a massive waist section that you could fold over to be over, on or under bump (like yoga trousers). I wore them so much.

Lovely scan and test news over the last few days, so exciting.

I had my scan today, all well and feeling very chuffed. Now embarking on the mammoth task of telling all our friends and family! Grin

crumblybiscuits · 24/09/2015 20:03

Wow, fab scan picture CantWin congratulations!

Dellabob123 · 24/09/2015 20:32

Been away for a while and catching up. Lovely scan pics. I had my scan on tues and got brought forward, so now 12+4 due April 4th! Bean was super wriggly but all looked great!

pingoose I had a mix of skinny under bump early on and then baggy over bump for super comfort later on. I'm showing a lot earlier now than I did with dd1 so going to have to dig them out. My jeans button keeps popping at the most inconvenient times!

Still haven't told work.....going to bite the bullet soon. Has everyone else?

crumblybiscuits · 24/09/2015 22:19

Swear I am going to go crazy waiting for my 12 week scan. Not til the 16th of October. I just want to know everything is okay. SIL just had a 12 week scan and messaged DP a picture of their baby. Happy for them but really bitter at the same time wishing it was me with that reassurance.

CantWin · 24/09/2015 23:00

Thank u xx

CarrotVan · 25/09/2015 07:59

Great picture cantwin.

crumbly mine isn't until the 15th when I'll be 13+4. I'm consoling myself that the further along the better the photo

MsGlitterJunkie · 25/09/2015 12:03

Not sure if anyone is interested but Seraphine are doing 20% off at the moment, might come in handy for jeans/ trouser shopping!

della I told my boss weeks ago and told the rest of my team this morning which was lovely. Just relieved to have it all out in the open to be honest.

MazzleDazzle · 25/09/2015 14:53

Finally managed to get back on to the site! Though still sometimes get the message saying the sight is down Hmm.

It's my scan tomorrow! This is a private one as I couldn't wait any longer and my DH is finally home after 5 weeks away, so it was the perfect time.

I'm 11 weeks on Sunday and we still haven't told anyone! We're going away to Disneyland Paris for a few days at the start of next week. Planning on telling the kids when we're away, then telling everyone else once we're home.

Congratulations on all of the scans folks!

ashboo76 · 25/09/2015 17:58

Hi ladies
Della I am the boss so I have the reverse I have to tell all my employees which I'm looking forward to as they know we've been trying a long time and I've been telling fibs re drinking, periods etc for so long. But apprehensive as they know it'll mean changes and me being absent albeit not for long. Nobody can win that one. ... Hoping it'll help with workload tho had to cover on my day off again today I'm exhausted.

I still have a week til my scan too and it's killing me I'll be 12+3 come on me t Friday!!

MazzleDazzle · 26/09/2015 07:44

My scan day is finally here! Grin

I can't sit still with excitement.

Though don't kno how I'll manage to hold 1.5 pints of water in for an hour before my scan. My bladder is not what it used to be!

CarrotVan · 26/09/2015 08:31

You don't need 1.5 pints, honest. You can be too full as well.

pingoose · 26/09/2015 08:43

Yup, I had to go empty my bladder at my dating scan, the great expanse of my full bladder was incredible!
Good luck with the scan mazzle!

Rinnyx · 26/09/2015 08:57

3rd time round I thought sod it with water and drank a bit under 1lt of lucozade Grin
Good luck with the scan today Mazzle

CarrotVan · 26/09/2015 10:19

I tried on a pair of maternity jeans I got on eBay today. Still too big but a good design with expanding panels just in front of the hips rather than a full panel or under bump. They are from Heavenly Bump and are semi-skinny, indigo denim

Definitelysometime · 26/09/2015 10:50

Good luck today MazzleM and congratulations to everyone else with lovely scans over the last few days. The rug of early pregnancy seems to be finally lifting here and I'm feeling so much better and more positive about everything. 11+4 today and just 3 days left till scan. Woohoo!

tappitytaptap · 26/09/2015 10:55

Pingoose me too! And I saw another couple of ladies coming out of scan rooms to do the same whilst I was waiting for the midwife afterwards!

Want2bSupermum · 26/09/2015 11:39

My scan date still isn't moved and my obn kicked up a stink yesterday afternoon. If I don't have an appointment by Monday lunchtime she is going to have a neighboring obn with rights to another hospital get me in there. They have spoken to the other hospital and I have a tentative appointment for Friday morning.

I am really annoyed and the worst is that I'm going to have to go for more scans due to my previous pregnancies being troublesome.

Want2bSupermum · 26/09/2015 11:40

Oh you don't need 1.5l of water! I drank 1l with DD and then when I had my son I drank 0.5l and it was plenty enough.

5madthings · 26/09/2015 12:04

Waves..

Trying to catch up, I did a big post last night and then it got eaten.

So to update, I had my dating and nuchal scan on Monday, baby measured 11wks and 6 days so due date moved to 5th April. Always good to jump forward a week! They managed to get my bloods Ok as well. Full nuchal results gave me odds of of 1 in 29,854 so low risk!

However on wed I started spotting, had another scan yesterday and all fine, very wriggly baby, sucking it's fingers, rolling over and I got to count all its fingers. Anyway spotting was brown so old blood and consultant not bothered. It's stopped now anyway.

I will have scans at 28 and 34 wks to check on size as well as the 20 wk scan as I have big babies. They also said as it's number six they will be happy to induce me from 37 wks but it's totally up to me.

want2 sounds like your obyn is on the ball with sorting stuff out so hope it's all Ok the added stress is not helpful. I was fussy about app times as u needed them during school hours and preferably on a wed so dh can come with me for the 20wk anomaly scan, not so bothered re the next two as they are just to check on size etc. I think hospitals sometimes forget peoole have a life.... I am up there loads anyway as ds2 has some health issues and trying to fit it all in can be a pita.

Congrats on all the scans, so lovely to see little baby pictures. And good luck to those with scans coming up.

I am 12 plus 4 today and still feeling sick, dh has been a star and taken kids out after doing laundry, bfast and tidying kitchen and hoovering whilst I had a lay in! Am focusing on the fact that in previous pregnancies I felt better by about 14 wks... And now I need to start telling family and friends our news!
