msglitter Google The Pelvic Partnership for advice on SPD and your midwife should be able to refer you to a specialist women's health or maternity physio.

My proper scan isn't until 15/10 - ages away!

Rinnyx · 20/09/2015 07:26

Hope you all have lovely scans and get fab pics xx
I'm now counting down for my 20 week scan Grin nov 19th

MazzleDazzle · 20/09/2015 08:09

Your first house ping and a baby! That's exciting. Good luck.

That's lovely Dexlie! No wonder it made your week. I can't wait to tell mine either. I've 2 girls roughly the same age as your two. They are desperate for another sibling so I know they'll be delighted!

Shopping was a nightmare yesterday! Because of the country roads, slow drivers and lorries, it took 2 hours to drive 50 miles. And when I went to return my items, I didn't have my original bank card with me the store wouldn't issue a refund! Angry Before I knew it it was time to leave for home - no baby shopping, not even a spot of lunch!

crumblybiscuits · 20/09/2015 08:23

Ooh ping we just bought our first house too. Such an exciting time! Congratulations.

DizzyMerry · 20/09/2015 12:22

Congratulations on your house purchase ping and crumbly.

Mazzle that's annoying. Hope you have a better shopping experience next time.

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow. I know it's just form filling, bloods and urine but I'm rather nervous about it all! Can't wait to get it over and done with.

PallasCat · 20/09/2015 13:37

All this talk of scans is making me very impatient for mine, and I haven't even got my letter yet! MW said it'd arrive at least a couple of weeks after booking appt, so fingers crossed I get the letter late this week.

Had a really busy day yesterday with family (my DM, MiL and FiL) which was lovely but I was too tired to really be myself. First time we've all been together since we told them though, so it was really lovely. (Very very lucky to have fantastic relationships on both sides - I really feel for you Rinny - what you're going through would break my heart).

Anyway, knackered, nauseous and headachey today. Definite pyjama day.

crumblybiscuits · 20/09/2015 14:18

8+6 today and I've not even got a midwife let alone a booking appointment. I can't find any available to do a morning appointment (I work Mon-Fri afternoons) and I can't take time off work to go. I hate booking appointments, they are so boring and it feels like I've only just had one as had one in April.

CarrotVan · 21/09/2015 08:37

Are you in the UK crumbly? You're allowed time off for antenatal appointments but you'll need to tell your boss.

I'm exhausted. DS was awake at 4.30 with a temp of 103 due to chicken pox. Thankfully the MIL has come to stay for the week to help out so I can escape to work.

FussyHendricks · 21/09/2015 08:59

Oh Carrot your poor DS. Hope he starts to improve soon. When will you get the results of your bloods back to see if you have immunity?

MrWriter · 21/09/2015 09:15

Morning all,

Just catching up as it was my wedding anniversary and dh whisked me off for a night away in a swish hotel. That makes up for all his forgetfulness regarding scans etc!!

I had my second scan on Friday morning and the dr measured the bean at 12+6 which was further along than I expected, woohoo!

Dying to tell everyone now but dh's dad and sm are on holiday, so scared to tell anyone before they know. Ugh family politics!

CarrotVan · 21/09/2015 09:37

Hopefully today or tomorrow fussy. We've had to tell my MIL as she'd guess if she's staying all week. She's very pleased and said she had a feeling...

Mummyofonesofar · 21/09/2015 09:54

Londonlady congrats on the fab scan!

Rinnyx sorry about your Mum, it is such an awful shame she hasn’t bonded with your other children too, I was 15 when I fell pregnant with DS, and though she was angry for a while , she soon embraced it and loves DS to pieces. Stick to DH’s family and distance yourself from her negativity. You don’t need it x Flowers

Ample sorry you had to cancel your weekend away Sad I hope you started feeling better though.

waxweasel good luck for your scan today, nuchal screening can be done from 11+2 so your dates will be fine. I hope your DD improves, how awful for her and you all!

Dexlie how lovely you have shared the news, we told DS when I still had the stick in my hand!!

ping good luck house searching!! We may be buying our first home in the next 6 months, but can’t agree on location so may be staying put at this rate in an area I hate! Sad

mazzle sorry your trip to town was so rubbish!!

DizzyM good luck for your booking in today!

MrWriter how lovely you were taken for a night away! Happy Anniversary, yay for great scan!

I have my scan tomorrow, very nervous.

DizzyMerry · 21/09/2015 09:57

Crumbly as has been said if you're in the UK you're allowed time off work for appointments.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary mr writer. Sounds like you had a lovely time. Also congratulations on your scan. Must be a relief to be moved a little further on.

DizzyMerry · 21/09/2015 10:06

Thanks mummy. I'm so nervous about my scan too. Good luck with yours.

Sorry ping I've just read back and realised you're actually house searching! Good luck.

MrWriter · 21/09/2015 11:26

Thanks dizzy and mummy, we had a lovely time, nice to relax with out ds for a night, though its weird how a mums brain works, I still woke up to check on him!!

Need to phone mw to make the 16 wk appointment.

Im sure your scan will be great mummy.

MazzleDazzle · 21/09/2015 13:38

Good luck with the scans today. I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely pics.

I was in the same boat as you crumbly, without a MW or any appts. Hope you get it sorted soon.

That's me now 10+1. It feels like I've been pregnant for ages! We still haven't told anyone. Waiting until ive have had my first scan...5 days to go!

crumblybiscuits · 22/09/2015 07:29

Good luck to all with scans coming up! Exciting.

Thanks for advice all, I don't want to tell my boss yet as I have only been working for her for 7 weeks and am 9 weeks pregnant. I think she is going to sack me once she finds out anyway as it's a very small business and I feel really bad for having gotten pregnant so early on. Left a message for midwife last week to ring me yesterday and she just hasn't bothered which is really annoying. By the looks of it I'm going to have to drag DD for half an hours walk before the hour long nursery run which will be interesting to say the least.

CarrotVan · 22/09/2015 07:50

So I don't have any immunity to chicken pox which meant urgent phone call from midwife and virology doctor, immunoglobulin booster being courieded across town to my GP and an emergency appointment for a painful slow injection into my (now very sore) arse. FX that it works. Poor DS is really unwell - temp of 104, big, angry spots, but thankfully not itching too much

AmpleRaspberries · 22/09/2015 09:53

Oh carrot what a nightmare, your poor ds. Fx the jab does what it's supposed to. These things always happen when you need them least

waxweasel · 22/09/2015 09:55

Oh god, how worrying for you Carrot! Thank goodness your midwife was on the ball and they didnt waste any time getting you the injection.

My scan went really well! Got dated as 2 days further along. We're really lucky as our local maternity unit is an international research centre for fetal medicine, so we get lots of extra tests - the scan went on for almost an hour and they tested loads more things than they did with DD. So it was really reassuring. They also do the nuchal test results within 2 hours, so we got that back too. Now feel happy to tell people, although it was such a badly kept secret I realised yesterday there was barely anyone left for me to tell!

Hope the other scans went well xx

poco2015 · 22/09/2015 10:45

Has anyone else just kind of stopped feeling pregnant? I still have a little nausea, but no ms, my boobs are a little sore but not massively, I'm not exhausted to excess any more. I am 10 weeks, anyone else feeling like this (please say you are as I am a little worried).

crumblybiscuits · 22/09/2015 11:20

That's very common poco as the placenta will be taking over at that point reducing the hormonal toll on your body. Try and relax and enjoy not feeling rubbish haha.

CarrotVan · 22/09/2015 11:28

I'm 10 weeks and pretty symptoms free. My knackeredness is more from lack of sleep with poxy DS than anything else

Oopsnumber3 · 22/09/2015 13:01

Symptom free here too poco. Not too worried as it was the same with my last two. I just don't tend to 'feel pregnant' until the belly starts getting in the way! It is slightly off putting as its the first time I haven't had an early scan so no real idea what's going on in there! I'm officially 12+3 but probably somewhere more like 11. Scan us on Monday so not too long to wait now.

poco2015 · 22/09/2015 14:47

Thanks ladies, I had HG last pregnancy and was awful, I started off this feeling exhausted. I just think I can't be this lucky given how I was last time. It makes me worry so much. But thanks for the reassurance.
