Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

LOL!!!!

we have a big table umberella i suppose.... would have to check weather forecast before filling the pool!!!

that has ruined my illusion now Paula!

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2007 19:22

I'm sorry, it just had to be brought up.

BabyMadwithBump · 04/01/2007 19:30

My MIL has a great big white gazebo (fit 4 brith pools in) so you know Im going to start being extra nice to her now, still loving the outside summer birth pool thing and I'm keeping my fingers cross for a "nice early evening hot summer day home birth", we'll see! oh and as little pain as possable! I dont thiink I have high hopes do you LOL!

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2007 19:37

You could rent a marquee with the sides rolled up.

loler · 04/01/2007 19:43

My neighbours have got a hot tub do you think they would let me borrow it?

I'm definately going for the hospital. dd was 9 lb, ds was 10 lb and very worried now......... Having said that dd birth was hell and fully natural but ds was fantastic - he was induced early due to his size and I had an epidural sited before my first contraction, didn't feel a thing and home in 6 hours. Will be asking for one of those again!

BabyMadwithBump · 04/01/2007 20:08

paulaplumpbottom thats the one MIL has and when the sides are down it has a "windows" look IYSWIM also they have covers that can be rolled down too, all I need now is lighting, LOL!

feedmenow · 04/01/2007 20:26

Loler, good idea re. the neighbours hot tub

feedmenow · 04/01/2007 20:29

Also, as I'm here, about the home birth stuff. I've had 2 sections but am desperate not to have a third. Have been doing loads of research and asking as many people as much as possible and at the moment it seems that I might be better off going for a home birth cos that way I would have to be provided with a mw who would have to stay with me, instead of in a hospital where they come and go as they please.
I've got a long haul ahead of me, I know, if I don't want another section so I'm sure you'll all get to hear me moaning loads (and crying a fair bit too!) after each visit with GP or MW cos I know they'll try and beat me down. Heres to another seven months of hell!!

redtent · 04/01/2007 20:38

feedmenow- google HBAC VBAC and you will find the yahoo group- they will arm you with info to help!!

Good luck!!

feedmenow · 04/01/2007 20:55

Thanks Redtent. Been there and done that, and am a signed up (albeit pretty quiet) member! The women who post on there are truly inspirational and will definately be mentioned many times in my "discussions" with the Healthcare professionals I encounter!

feedmenow · 04/01/2007 20:56

Also, Redtent, just wondering how you knew about that? Do you have experience?

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2007 21:09

What about fairy lights? Great for ambiance.

BabyMadwithBump · 04/01/2007 21:40

fairy lights loving it, some nice music too.

redtent · 04/01/2007 21:41

feedmenow- not personally but have a friend on that group planning a VBA2C and another friend has hired an IM so she can water birth at home after a c/s.

it is possible- I have read so many sucess stories on the net. I will be gunning for you from here ;)

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2007 21:42

hmmmmmm the music is tricky. Do they have a classic FM for birth yet?

loler · 04/01/2007 22:18

Feedme - one of the NCT people in the local group around here had VBA2C and often gives advice on how she managed it. If you're in derbyshire (depending where) she's in Stone (halfway between stoke and stafford) - Last year she had some sort of seminar type thing (didn't pay that much attention as wasn't relevant) - could find her details out if you're interested?

paulaplumpbottom · 04/01/2007 22:35

Feedmenow do you feel that your previous c-sections were unnecessary?

sexkittyinwaiting · 04/01/2007 23:03

Message for feedmenow ,sorry to gate crash, but I've just spotted this. I'm on the March thread, expecting no.6.
My first 2 births were sections, the last three vag births, the last one being a home birth. If there appears to be no obvious reason wh you had to have sections, e.g. a physiological one then you should be able to try for vbac. You might have to fight for it though., I did, but it was worth it, all the births were problem free. If you want to ask anything feel free to pop over to the March thread

Catalepticdru · 05/01/2007 07:16

Aaagghh!! MY message last night didn't post for some reason!!

Hope everyone's okay this morning!

Yesterday wasn't too bad on my first day back to work, actually got lots of attention.

Risk assessment has been done, waiting for someone to get back to me to decide what to do - they may move me to a different location.

Hersetta · 05/01/2007 10:02

Ooh, just got my appointment for my scan. Its on 14th February when I will be 12+4 weeks. I'm going to the Rosie Maternity at Addenbrookes. has anyone been there before? What's it like?

Can you add my stats to the ever groing list please.

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 10:24

Hi everyone,
hope everyone is OK. I've had more spotting, but just a tiny bit but have had it several times in the past few weeks and also some brown discharge (sorry if TMI) like the end of a period, but again just a tiny bit. I feel OK, no pain or anything. I called the dr's on weds after the last spotting and explained. They told my to call the hosp, eventually got through to the EPU. They said that i'd have to be referred through GP (which I thought) but they would like to see me to check. Went to see GP and he wouldn't refer me! He was nice but told me to go home and rest and not to worry, if I had proper bleeding or pain to go back immediately. I have my first MW appt on weds am so will explain everything to her and hope I get an early scan. I'm very anxious that something has/will go wrong though. I didn't have any of these symptoms with DS so an quite worried now and geting paranoid about going to the loo! Sorry to be on such a downer. I'll keep you posted.

myweegirl · 05/01/2007 10:34

lovelybird - you could phone the EPU and or the midwife and explain the situation. your GP is probably right with the advice he's given you - but sometimes you just need that wee bit extra reassurance that everything's ok.

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 10:51

thanks my wee girl, I did speak to the EPU the other day and the woman was lovely and said to see my GP to get a referral to get it checked out. I don't have a number for the midwife but could get it if I looked i'm sure. I'm going to hang on as I'm seeing her weds and have the first appt but I think i'll be a nervous wreck by then! I'm going to try and not get too stressed and put my feet up as much as possible.

pinkranger · 05/01/2007 10:53

lovleybird. seems strange that Gp wont send you , just shows how different they all work , my Gp was great with both of my bleeding that i had and got me booked into the EPu as soon as he could. do hope that eveything is o.k for you xxx

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 11:08

Thanks pinkranger, yes it's amazing how different they all are. It's a group practice and I saw the older GP there who I have seen before and he's nice but I do wonder if I'd seen anyone else if they would have referred me IYKWIM. Trying not to think about it too much and just hope I know a bit more by this time next week. Not bleeding at the moment and feeling OK so fingers crossed.
