Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Thanks pinkranger, yes it's amazing how different they all are. It's a group practice and I saw the older GP there who I have seen before and he's nice but I do wonder if I'd seen anyone else if they would have referred me IYKWIM. Trying not to think about it too much and just hope I know a bit more by this time next week. Not bleeding at the moment and feeling OK so fingers crossed.

pinkranger · 05/01/2007 11:10

Mine is also a group practice but i was lucky enough to see the same doctor both times , as you a diffrent one might have not done it! - How many weeks are you now?

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 11:21

last AF was 2/11 so think I'm about 8/9 weeks-ish. My Sister is due next month and had lots of bleeding early on and had to have a scan but all was OK. It's just I didn't have this with DS pregnancy. The GP did say the other day that bleeding is extremely common is pregnancy and not always a concern unless it's heavy and you have pain as well.
Don't think i'll relax until I know one way or the other. Am paranoid it's a missed m/c.

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 11:25

sorry pinkranger forgot to ask are you PG as well?

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2007 11:34

Lovelybird you think he could have refered you to give you peace of mind if nothing else.

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 11:39

I'm hoping MW will be more sympathetic on weds when I see her but think I'll be a nervous wreck by then!

feedmenow · 05/01/2007 11:45

Hello everyone. I'm rather surpirsed to hear myself say that I feel quite good today, and three people commented this morning that I have more colour in my cheeks? Could I be turning a corner or is it just a brief reprise to lull me into a false sense of security I wonder?

Redtent - when is your friend due? I'd really love it if you can keep me updated on how she gets on.

Loler - I am nowhere near Derbyshire but if this lady has anything else (recommended books, leaflets, organisations) that you know of I would love to know about it.

Sexkitteninwaiting - if you are here again, thanks for the support and I have no doubt that I will be popping in to March to speak to you!

Lovelybird - hope everything is OK.....

slingmadmother · 05/01/2007 11:49

Hi all,

Just successfuly had blood taken- yay!! Been told I have nobbly veins and that sometimes makes then trickier!!

FMN- Both Friends due in May. I'll keep you posted ;)

Lovelybird ((hugs))- I hope the MW is reassuring... if it happens again personally I would ring NHS direct. That was how I got an apt at the local EPU with my m/c.... brown spotting happens as I am sure you know, but it would be nice to know that it's just one of those things.

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2007 12:03

My roots are starting to show, I didn't get my hair colored at all during my last pregnancy and was miserable about it the whole time. What are your opinions of haircoloring while pregnant?

pinkranger · 05/01/2007 12:24

Hi lovleybird, i am 7 weeks gone, i was pregnant in July but had a missed misscarrge at 10 weeks and the only sign that i had any problems was one spot of brown blood and that was it- nothing else. This time i had a bright red bleed at 6 weeks and statred thinking the worst ( they say brown is good - red is bad) - but had a scan on wednesday and heatbeat was seen and all is o.k.
I agree with paula and even if they had done it for peace of mind , i have a 10 week scan booked private, just for my reasuurance xx

paula - i did dye my hai in last pregnacy - my hair dress is my friend so i trust her!!

feedmenow · 05/01/2007 12:29

Paula, have you checked with your hairdresser? I recall that during my last pg they said it was OK.....

lovelybird · 05/01/2007 12:47

congratulations pinkranger and glad to hear your scan went well.

Loulee · 05/01/2007 13:40

Lovelybird, i had similar bleeding in my first pg and had an early scan - everything was ok. Like others have said, rest, and try not to think about it too much - easier said than done, i know.

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2007 14:10

I had a chat and she said it was fine but that we would do it every six weeks instead of every 4 and that she wouldn't do any touch ups in between like she usually does. Thats sounds ok to me.

Yay Friday,
Hope everyone has a good weekend

treacletart · 05/01/2007 18:52

Had my viability scan today, confirming me as 8 weeks plus 4, all as should be - I know I should be relieved, but until I get past the 10 weeks last pregnancy reached I know I wont be properly encouraged. Also self administerd my first daily clexane jab (1 down just another 226 to go). After the hospial DH and I went to Momma Cheries Soul Shack (from the Gordon Ramsay show) for lunch - I may not eat again until next week! Ive had a horid headache all day and I could easily sleep through 'til February. Oh and I'm so envious of the fairy lit garden canopied birthing pool! Not sure about the hair dye thing - I'm sure I'd read if you used a brand you'd used before with no ill effects you were unlikely to cause any harm but, lack lustre as my greying locks are, I think I'm going to wait till the 2nd trimester to be on the safe side.

MrsBadger · 05/01/2007 18:58

hey treacle, glad your scan went well!
Also big round of applause for the clexane - it'll get easier the more you do it.

treacletart · 05/01/2007 19:06

Cheers MrsB, it really wasn't as bad as I'd expected although looking closely I spotted lots of tiny marks from my last round of heparin jabs so I'm expecting a bit of scarring aswell as the bruises. Ah well , needs must eh?! I'm riddiculously pale skinned though so that may have something to do with it. Injection itself didn't hurt at all, but any tips to stop the post jab smarting?

Catalepticdru · 05/01/2007 19:21

Hey everyone! Thank Goodness it's Friday

Wow, Treacletart you are so brave... I hate needles.

I was driving home today and my boobs have been very sore and I was cross, but then I thought ooh, it's a good sign!

Don't you revel a bit in things like MS, sore boobs and other pregnancy pains, because it's a sign things are going well? Or is just a big surge of hormones scrambling my brain?

DH is reading this over my shoulder threatening to poke my sore boobs, the bar steward...

Take care ladies!

MrsBadger · 05/01/2007 21:43

treacle, don't rub it, but pressing for a couple of seconds with or without cotton wool / gauze etc stops the smarting a bit and can help reduce bruising - worth a bash...

hormonalwreck · 05/01/2007 21:51

Hersetta - Hooray another Cambridge girl! I'm due 8th Aug and will be going to the Rosie. It'll be my 1st baby but 5 of my friends have had babies there 2ish years ago (3 of them are pg again due June, late Jul and early Aug) They've all said it's fine and the Rosie has a reputation as one of the best maternity units in the UK.

RE home birth in the garden, wouldn't you worry about all your neighbours listening to your screams? Just imagine that elderly couple at the other end of the village sat in their garden enjoying a G&T on a summers evening subjected to wild shreeking all night!!!

That said, apparently we're going to have the hottest summer on record. Might get a paddling pool to bask in, whale like in my garden anyway!

paulaplumpbottom · 05/01/2007 23:36

Treacletart what do you mean 8weeks +4?

treacletart · 05/01/2007 23:51

they dated pregnancy as 8 weeks 4 days

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 00:14

Of course. I should have thought of that. Pregnancy hormones are lowering my IQ already.
