Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Hi everyone
can I join you? Bit annoyed as I wrote a long message then lost it - not sure I've got the hang of this site yet...

Details are

me 38
dh 35
edd 26/8
live in se london (so that's two of us!)

WE were ttc for 18 months and had 4 iui's - I'd just about given up by the last one and was resigning myself to ivf but here I am! Still can't quite believe it..I'm very wary about posting and saying I'm pregnant as I'm so terrified of mc, my sis has had two and still no luck so I think we're all a bit careful about celebrating too early. So I'm thrilled by all my symptoms - just so relieved I got here. Although if I was at the puking in car parks and outside school gates stage I might not be so thrilled - you poor things...I just hope if I was going to get that it would have happened by now - you can throw it back in my face if you like when it happens! Currently I'm queasy and hungry but off my food. Not in the mornings but in the afternoons and after eating- in fact there's no real pattern to it, but it's completely livable with. I do recommend ginger - I know there's a lot of you who've tried it or can't stand it - I got some tincture from Neals yard - you can get it online I think, as there's no way I could get pills down!
And I'm exhausted... . Xmas day I nearly burst into tears when my mum shrieked for another round of Taboo... Keep having an afternoon nap and taking it easy. Poor person with migraines - that's one thing I was expecting as I usually get menstrual migraines - but there's still time...
Boobs are the main thing - so sore and huge (for me) Been wearing the same sports bra for days - went to MandS sale today to try and get some but they were rubbish. And it's annoying not being able to buy any clothes in the sales as I don't know how long I'll fit into them - and then I panic and think that's tempting fate
So hello - and as you can see I have a tendency to post long posts - looking forward to joining you - I was on a fertility website for along time and found it so helpful and supportive.
Pxx

Pinktinsel if I have it correct and your pinkranger
Formally lady bump is looking for you over on the conception threads,
I see we all had m/c late july/ Aug, she is not looking forward to due date approaching, neither am I, but I suppose we are the lucky ones to be pg again.

Catalepticdru · 30/12/2006 09:40

Welcome peanut head!

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 30/12/2006 12:20

Welcome to Peanuthead!
Is anyone around at the moment? I have just posted a message about rashes in Pregnancy...anyone know lots about rashes? Lulamama, where are you?!?!

redtent · 30/12/2006 13:48

Hi all, Hope it's ok to join you. I have posted on mumsnet before... have a DS from 2004 and another from 2005 (I recognise a few people from ds 2's pregnancy).

DC 3 is due 1/8/07- I think!! Will have to see what the scan says in a few weeks.

I am suffering awfully with nausea this time- 24/7. not been sick but feel like it ALL the time and I am fed up!! I am thinking of taking a low dose of Vit B6 to see if that helps a bit.

Other than that I am doing great, some clothes still fit me and am wearing a few pairs or maternity trousers for comfort....

my Mum knows and the team I work with (as they were great when I m/c in september). We also told BIL and SIL but are delaying telling the il's atm... they were far from positive last pregnancy with ds 2 (could even be bothered to come and see him till he was 3 months old cos they were too busy... despite knowing for 6 months when he was roughly due!)...rant over!! Other than that I am fighting to keep it quiet- not cos i can't keep me mouth shut... but b/c I look so darn awful people are asking me!!

Anyone got a 12 week scan date yet??

I have a booking in with the community m/w on Tuesday 2nd

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 30/12/2006 15:44

Hi Redtent, and congrats! I've got my booking visit with the mw on 8th Jan, but have not had a scan date through yet. A couple of the ladies here have already had early scans. What an exciting few weeks we have ahead of us....

paulaplumpbottom · 30/12/2006 17:08

I haven't gotten my booking in date yet. Do you think they've forgotten me?

boobooma · 30/12/2006 18:04

Hi redtent and peanut, welcome.

Paula, we don't get a booking in appointment until 10 weeks in Devon, so won't be having mine for a while, don't know what the practice is near you.

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 30/12/2006 19:08

Hi eveyone ,
yes UKi i am pinkranger, there were quite a few problems with some of us in the the summer wanst there ! i shall go look for lady bump in a mo!

Had a bit of a bleed on Thursday, not much but enough to panic me , went straight to doctor and he has gotten me in for a scan on Wednesday. My boobs still hurt which is good! I have read somewhere here that Cervical erosion can cause bleeding in Pg i know i have this as my nurse picked up on it in October for my smear so fingers crossed for me ladies! xx

How are the rest of you doing??

paulaplumpbottom · 30/12/2006 20:51

My nausea seems to be getting worse instead of better. i have officially become useless because I can't drag myself off the couch. Don't even feel like going out tommorow night and I never miss New Years Eve.

redtent · 30/12/2006 21:27

awww Paula-

I am exactly the same hun- heres to a NYE at home on the sofa.... and a Nausea free 2007.

paulaplumpbottom · 30/12/2006 23:38

I'll drink (my lemon & ginger tea) to that!

Catalepticdru · 31/12/2006 11:04

I went out last night to see some friends, no alcohol and got to bed about midnight. Feel rough as anything this morning - I actually feel worse than if I had a few double vodkas the night before.

BTW Paula - according to my GP you won't get registered as pregnant until you're eight weeks gone - NHS policy apparently! I'm seven weeks gone, so on Tuesday I'll ring up and make an appointment with the midwife then.

pinkranger · 31/12/2006 11:06

my docotrs are going to registar me at 7 weeks as of previous problems so every doctors must be different.

pinkranger · 31/12/2006 11:10

im ticklemewithpinktinsel by the way!

paulaplumpbottom · 31/12/2006 12:08

Oh I see, I'm not 8 weeks till wednesday.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 31/12/2006 13:33

Why don't they just do it the same everywhere? I saw my GP about 10 days ago to announce the pg and she told me to get a mw appt before 12 weeks. I think I'll be just over 10 when I see her.
BTW, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news but have you all seen/heard the thread about Pecka? I think she could do with some great big cyber-hugs.....

hormonalwreck · 31/12/2006 14:56

I think the NHS districts must have differant rules and regs. I went to the doc after my 2nd BFP at home at 4.5 weeks. then did another test at the surgery. Met my mw and was booked in as a pg woman the next day! I received a folder full of booklets and my formal maternity record. I also had to book my 12 week scan myself. I thought this was normal everywhere!!!

paulaplumpbottom · 31/12/2006 17:17

I have lived here for 7 years and I still can't figure the NHS out.

feedmenow · 31/12/2006 17:46

The funniest thing is that it isn't just about the area, it's about the time too. With my dd, now 7, I saw GP at about 7 weeks, did all forms, etc, and saw mw straight after 12 week scan. My friend has her dd a year later but was told that her 12 week scan counted as a "visit" so didn't see the mw to book in until 16 weeks! Both at the same surgery!!

How is everyone feeling? I have been out this afternoon and bought some Spatone. Having slept 15 hrs last night I think maybe it is time to take some action. I really hope it helps cos I'm getting sooooo fed up of feeling so c**p!

londonlou · 31/12/2006 18:57

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry I've not been around, especially since I started the thread! Unfortunately I've had a missed miscarriage at 7.5 weeks. My second this year. Obviously gutted since it comes after 6 years ttc and my second ivf. I felt unable to post the last two weeks. I wish you all the best with your bumps and babies.

Love

Lou

Londonlou

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, must be very difficult. Good luck for a future pregnancy. Thanks for starting the thread.

paulaplumpbottom · 31/12/2006 19:27

Londonlou, I am so sorry to hear your news. I know how hard it is to lose one. I'll keep you in my prayers.

redtent · 31/12/2006 19:46

londonlou-

((hugs)) so sorry to hear your news. One m/c was hard enough for me- I can't imagine how distressing 2 must be. I wish you all the best for 2007... and hope it brings you more joy.

xx

paulaplumpbottom · 31/12/2006 20:12

So what are we all drinking tonight? Would I be totally evil if I had one glass of Champagne at midnight?
