Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Merry Xmas everyone!!

Catalepticdru · 26/12/2006 20:50

God, I can really murder a nice bit of crusty bread slathered in Matterson's liver spread right now... darn the ban on liver products!!

Ooh I was feeling a wee bit smug as boobies weren't sore... not anymore! All day they've felt like someone's pinching them!! Ouch!

smellymelly · 27/12/2006 08:29

I have discovered something fabulous for heartburn. Its called Fructin and you have to get it from a health food store. Its great I haven't though about Gaviscon all week.

hoohoo · 28/12/2006 19:30

Well thats me all confirmed at docs he reckons i'm due 16th so just 7weeks gone. Luckily with my last 2 pgs i was 2 weeks early so might be a july babe being pregnant with 2 young boys is a lot of hard work don't get a min to myself so am absolutely shattered, roll on the blooming stage

Hope everyone is well and not too sick

Uki · 29/12/2006 08:11

Melly
Very sad to hear your news, I feel for you and family at the moment.

I will miss you from this thread. Take Care

Uki · 29/12/2006 08:23

Hi All

Hope you all survived Christmas, I found it all very tiring as had 7 guests over 4 nights and did all the cooking, but no washing
Slept for 10 hours last night though and felt so much better after that.

I hung my pregnancy tests on the tree but most didn't see them or didn't know what they were. My step MIL thought they were candlesticks and even after i told my mum that they were tests with two lines meaning positive she didn't get it, so I told her i was HIV positive!!!

Anyway they are all worried about me, which made me worry more. I just want to get till the 8th Jan and have my u/s then it will be really news.
How is everyone else????????

paulaplumpbottom · 29/12/2006 12:02

What didn't tey get about the pregnancy test? How many test did you take?

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 29/12/2006 12:21

Morning all. Hope everyone is well today. Uki, hope none of the family were admiring the "candlesticks" too closely what with you having pee'd on them!
So, we've all survived then? I feel at the end of my tether today....dp is driving me potty. However, I'm determined that during this pg I will remain calm and cool as much as possible (having been very stressed in other pg's and ended up with really stressy, clingy babies, i now have a theory that if I stay calm then the baby will be calm! Am I being too hopeful ?)
Anyone got any suggestions for headache? Paracetamol doesn't do much....can we use that ForeHead stuff?

hormonalwreck · 29/12/2006 13:41

oh Melly poor you, I'm so sorry big hug.

Feedme - not sure if we can use ForeHead but I find drinking lots of water helps if I have a headache, tho the obvious downside is yet more dashing to the loo.

Has anyone heard of or tried the doppler listening gadget? A friend of mine has one from her pg 2 years ago and insisted on listening to my nothing-really-there-yet bump after a few drinks (her not me, I was on the fizzy water again!!!) just before christmas. I was a bit nervous (what if we don't hear anything, I was only 7 weeks) but she found the wooshing sound of the placenta which was amazing! She's lent me the gadget but I'm too nervous to use it! My 12 week scan isn't til 23rd Jan which seems like a lifetime away!!!

Hope everyone who was spilling the beans on Christmas morning had a good reception. My PIL both started crying! DH is an only child so this will be there first grandchild. Then they wouldn't let me do anything, I was tired so just enjoyed all the attention. You poor girls who had to do all the cooking, I hope it wasn't too hard work and much appreciated by your guests.

boobooma · 29/12/2006 14:25

Hi feedme, water water water for your headache. You could ask at a healthfood shop, they might have a homeopathic remedy or something else non toxic.

I'm a bit sick of hearing myself being superbitch. DP gone surfing & I dont blame him. Can't remember being moody like this last time. Planning to phone the midwife today to register after bfp number 3, just had to make extra sure. Had a positive reception to our news from all relations and some looking after and not forced to drink alcohol so it was worth telling them even tho so early on.

Catalepticdru · 29/12/2006 14:45

Well I ended up with full blown migraines and my GP gave me codeine - but you can only get it on prescription.
Drinking lots of water is a very good suggestion, dehydration is known to cause headaches.
Don't bother with ForeHead. Use some vapour rub instead, it's got the same ingredient(menthol) at a fraction of the price and it is safe to use - a pharmacist recommended it. You can also get cool patches which you slap on your forehead which are quite soothing. Incidentally, you can also get heatpatches - if you are getting neckache along with your headache, stick the cool patch on your head and the warm one on the back of your neck. The warm packs are also great if you are suffering from period pain/ back ache.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 29/12/2006 14:47

Thanks for the advice ladies. Funnily enough I don't actually think I'm thirsty but once I start drinking water I'm really glugging it down so perhaps it is all to do with dehydration.
I'm so fed up with feeling rough, and it doesn't help that I've got a cold too. Before actually being pg I had these stupid ideas that I would be really healthy with this one and that by "looking after myself properly" I wouldn't feel too sick....how delusional could I be

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 29/12/2006 14:49

Cateleptic, our posts just crossed but yours made me laugh re the menthol thing, cos my dp handed me a tub of Ann Summers Pleasure Gel this morning and told me to put some of that on my forehead. I told him to bugger off, but perhaps I should have given it a go after all!!!

ChristmasMadwithBump · 29/12/2006 15:24

Afternoon Ladies, Still very sicky being sick upto 3 times a day at the moment, also feel very drained I cant do very much around the house due to sicky and drained. I used to get headachs all the time then I started taking Iron Tabs, and not had a single one since but last week I didn't take any for three days and they came right back, also at 8 weeks+ your body starts needing more Iron!

GillL · 29/12/2006 16:52

Hello all. I'm 6 weeks pg with no. 2 and due on 22nd August. I'm not looking forward to being heavily pregnant at the height of summer considering I was so hot all the time with my first baby and it was Winter.

I'm also feeling sick all the time and craving savoury foods. I suffer with headaches normally so I'm suffering even more now I can't take Anadin Xtra and Paracetamol doesn't really help so being at work is a real struggle. Interesting about increasing iron intake. Do you think the amount in Pregnacare tablets would make a difference (assuming there would be more in separate iron tablets)?

ronniemummy · 29/12/2006 22:10

How lovely to read about all of your wonderful BFP!!!!

I am from the Aug 2006 thread and I found out I was pregnant this time last year after three years of trying to cnceive and being told we couldn't concieve naturally! It is such an exciting time for you all. I do remember all the worry and anxiety that some of you are having before the 12week scan. I also worried about the cramps but was assured by people that they were- implantation, stretching ligaments etc

I am actually really envious of you all being pregnant and the excitement of the coming months- but I don't miss the Morning sickness!!!

Being a mummy is the most wonderful thing in the world and there is nothing like a hug with your baby.I can't wait for baby no. 2!!!

Good luck to you all!!!

Uki · 29/12/2006 22:14

Hi All
Welcome Gill

RE: Headaches Can you not get panadine (paracetomol + codine) over the counter in the UK?
these are the only two drugs safe in pregnancy.

Yes dh didn't want me to hang my wee sticks on the tree, but I thought it was funny. I had three.

feeedme: I also find i'm never thirsty, until i drink and that's usually not till the afternoon, bad habit as then wake up three times a night to go to the loo.
