Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Uki · 22/12/2006 03:28

HI All

Just wanted to wish you all a very merry christmas, indulging in everything you can have fgrin]

Christmasmad-definately get the lump checked out.

Glad to know other's have been hormonal wrecks, I've been putting it down to my m/c fears, ended up having huge row with dh as I'm so scared. Anyway I guess i feel i got some stuff out, but it doesn't feel very real at the moment.

Looking forward to lots of christmas distractions

gardeninggirl · 22/12/2006 08:08

I agree Uki - sounds like we have all been getting hormonal!

Bambi - really glad to hear about your DH - men - bless em!

Christmasmad - definately get to your GP, even if it is just for a bit of reassurance, it will only hang over you otherwise.

Merry Christmas to all - DH and I off to family today, first mine then his - so away for a week. I have noticed how much more bouncy I feel since I am away from work!!

I know i will have loads to catch up on when I next log on!

Christmas cravings to all of you!!!

smellymelly · 22/12/2006 08:17

Morning ladies!!

I have had period type pains to, but nothing too bad. Had them last time as well, they cam get worse at around the time your af would be due, ie. 4 weeks, 8 weeks etc.

Paula - love your description of the cookies too. That'll give them something to talk about - I really hate the playground gossip thing!

Dh has been commenting on my moods, but hell he gets worse pmt than me! I actually managed to kiss him this morning without wanting to throw up - lol, poor man!! I haven't been sick yet, but I have sorted out all my sick bowls - I will not stick my head down a toilet!!

At the moment I can't drink enough tea. And I crave everything I see on tv, in the fridge, in the cupboard etc.

I am only 5.3 weeks today, and my tummy is really bloated too, I look 4 months gone already. I hope it is just because my tummy muscles were shot to pieces with the twins.

I can feel my fibroid already which grows just when I am pregnant.

We are signing for our new house today!! Yippee! It is an old farmhouse with a beautiful garden of 1 acre, and only cost us £100,000. It is just across the road from dd1's school so will be able to send her across the road while ds1 will get the bus. Dh has got 3 months to get the house ready for us before we move in, so we can settle in in the spring.

conkertree · 22/12/2006 08:47

wow that house sounds amazing melly. would love some ground like that.

last half day at work for a week and a half - yippee

still having as but hoping it might be easier when not stuck behind a desk all day. Really looking forward to telling parents etc too over the holidays.

Note sure if I will be logging in over the holidays so if not, hope you all have a great relaxing holiday and speak to you all in the New Year.

hormonalwreck · 22/12/2006 09:49

It's so reasuring to hear people going through what I am.

  • Tiredness has hit like crazy, have to drag myself through the day.
  • Tummy cramps, yes, (I'm 8 weeks on monday so that fits with the cycle theory)
  • Bloating and spotty, yes, have regressed to fat spotty teen!!!

DH is back tomorrow from 1 week work trip to the states (hope he gets back ok with the fog) Still need to wrap his pressies and feel compelled to clean the house, but I'm so tired when I get in, have barely enough energy to make my dinner! Feel like I'm being a lazy crap wife

DH asks me everyday on the phone if I'm still pg, ahhh really looking forward to him coming home.

Smellymelly that's great news about the house, it sounds so chocolate box charming.

I know this sounds aweful but I'm really looking forward to Jan and getting Christmas out of the way. We can tell the family and I can stop leading this double life and telling lies. The scan on 23rd jan will hopefully put my mind at rest that things are ok in there and make it all a bit real and I'm not a hypercondriac!

Sorry to rant, just feeling a bit down today.

paulaplumpbottom · 22/12/2006 10:25

Melly the house sounds amazing, for £100,000. WOW! Around here properties like that are gold dust.

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 22/12/2006 12:48

hi homanl - you are not alone

Smelly , your house sound lovley , so lucky to not have to move in straight away aswell.

Well due to the nausea i have lost 2lb this week - im sure ti will be more awell if i carry on like this! I could do with shifting a few pounds!

lovelybird · 22/12/2006 13:19

hello all, well i'm glad it's not just me who feels crap.
Haven't been sick yet but feel sooooo sick and it seems to be lasting all day but is awful first thing. Definately wasn't this bad with DS. Am also knackered and grumpy. Poor DH!
Hope we all feel better soon. I'm dreading xmas day as we're cooking for both families and if I still feel crap DH will have to do it all.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 22/12/2006 14:33

Afternoon ladies, feeling ssooooooo sick cant go down stairs, makes me feel worse, afternoons not as bad as morning and evening but still bad, feel so drined too cant even make a bed. Dreading christmas dinner as I'm cooking for 10 DH doesn't cook but I've asked my FIL if he would cook the meet at his house, cuts it and bring it with him, as i think the meet is one main thing thats going to keep my head down the toilet he can just put up with the smell of cooking/cooked meet at his house , I'll do the rest.
why oh why did I say I'll do christmad dinner for the whole family! (MIL, FIL, 2 SIL, BIL, SIL son, my DH and my 2 DC, then myself).
Chewing gum is my thing at the moment that is helping with the MS/AS, hopeing its one of them things that will continue to help me though this, and not give up on me after a day or two!
Babymadxx

smellymelly · 22/12/2006 14:38

I am, so sorry you are all feeling down, and sick. I am actually looking forward to xmas, even though we have a ton of presents to wrap up. Also done our food shop and bought lots of yummy stuff - last night we had Antelope, it was amazing!!

We are in France btw, hence the houses being much cheaper here, but although they say the house is habitable, it has no kitchen, and the toilet is in the garage which flushes into a pit underneath, not even a septic tank! So there is much to be done, but it is just 5 mins down the road so dh will be able to work there all the time. You probably won't feel so jealous now....

paulaplumpbottom · 22/12/2006 18:17

Nope still jealous it sounds lovely. I bet it will be great when its all done.

Uki · 22/12/2006 21:46

Oh smelly i'm extra jealous, we have a beautiful 7 acre property in Oz, but sometimes wish it was france as i love all the stone cottages and so miss those beautiful bagettes, cheese and crossiants. We do have a goat dairy down the road so some good cheese, not at the moment though.
I can definately recommend chickens for kids though, we just got three and my ds loves them, feeds them collects the eggs and watches them for hours.
Can i ask what part of france?

Glad to know i'm not the only one that stupidly volunteered for christmas lunch, I'll be cooking for 8 and although i'm kinda looking forward to it, seems a bit daunting cleaning and cooking for all.

I have hung three tests on the tree so lets see if anyone notices. I definately want to get out of washing up.

smellymelly · 23/12/2006 10:55

Uki - We are about 20 mins east of La Rochelle, our style of house is a Charentaise (sp?) stone farmhouse, and I hope it will be fab when finished. We are having a huge kitchen, and lounge but these both need to be converted from being attached barns!! But the best thing will be a seperate playroom for the kids.

We have 16 chickens and 2 ducks! They are great fun, we had 4 pygmy goats too, but they ate everything in the garden and kept escaping, leaving a hole in our fence for a fox to get in and get 2 of our ducks. So we re-homed them to some friends here and they are living the life of riley! The house also has a natural spring which starts in our garden with a weeping willow over it... so it will be great for the ducks and the kids....

sorry, probably just made you more jealous.

I am petrified however of having a baby in french!

smellymelly · 23/12/2006 11:00

Dh will be cooking Xmas lunch again this year - I am soooo lucky, and it will just us for the 1st time this year. Parents-in-law not coming out til the 29th.

Just to help with the ms if I can, I find it helps enormously to eat every 2 hours! Not too hard over Xmas...

treacletart · 23/12/2006 18:27

I'm e x . . . h a u s . . . t e d! And quite queasy too but as this is the first MS I've had this pregnancy (7 weeks tomorrow) I'm quite relieved. DH has done all our Christmas food shopping and has been entertaining DS so I have been able to stay in bed for most of the day. Hurray for my DH!

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 23/12/2006 18:49

I wanna stay in bed all day! In all fairness, dp is being pretty good but I think he thinks this is a very short spell (due to his v. bad memory!) where as, in reality, my other pg's left me tired the whole 9 mths and feeling pretty rough the whole time.
This eating every 2 hours is all very well and good but I feel so pants that I just don't know what I want to eat! I hate feeling like this! And I usually love christmas so I really dont want to feel crap on christmas day....
For everyone that doesn't expect to be logging on again for a few days, hope you have a fantastic yuletide and that all the baby surprises go down well with the families!

olivhohoho · 23/12/2006 20:05

just dropping in from the august 2006 thread to say congratulations and wish you all a healthy and happy pg. hope you get the sme support from this thread as i did from ours!

bambi06 · 23/12/2006 20:32

ive just got my nuchal scan and other tests through at kings college on the tues 30 jan, when ill be 12 +3 , anyone else on tha tday having their scans etc?

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 24/12/2006 08:11

just want to wish everyone a happy christmas xx have fun over the next few day xx

conkertree · 24/12/2006 10:38

yup same from me - DH works for the church so just about to start the marathon of 4 services in 24 hours - think that may be a bit of overkill but never mind. Been sick this morning so feel ok just now. much prefer actually being sick to just feeling it all day.

and am also looking forward to christmas day - cooking for 7 but that includes purplerabbit and her family so we can stick our heads down the toilet at all the smells together

boobooma · 24/12/2006 12:06

Hello, have ended up telling more people than planned about pg as an excuse for how irritated I am at lots, especially other drivers.

Happy christmas everyone

MrsBadger · 24/12/2006 19:39

[sheepishly joins tail end of thread]

what a Christmas present, eh?
BFP just in time to run heaving from the smell of roasting meat, refuse Brie and Stilton, and put the wind up the in-laws by passing on everything from bucks' fizz to port...

Due Aug 28 - the BBC online calculator lets you take freakishly long and short cycles into account.

hormonalwreck · 24/12/2006 21:55

Feeling a combination of shattered and stuffed. Non of my clothes seem to fit comfortably anymore, but I can't tell if it's from eating too much or baby (Prob a bit too early to start blaming baby!)

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and Santa brings you everything you asked for.

Good luck to all you girls who like me are breaking the news to the family - really hope all goes well.

hormonalwreck · 24/12/2006 21:56

MrsBadger - CONGRATS!
Hope the rest of your festive period is as exciting!!!
