Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Have a look at Bravissimo (google it). They do some gorgeous bras for the breastfully gifted. They do some soft cup and nursing bras too.

Been to the docs, BP okay (pheww!) but it seems my rising oestrogen levels (a sign of well progressing baby making) is constantly triggering migraines. Apparently it's not uncommon for migraine sufferers to have this problem during early pregnancy. I've suffered from migraines since I started my periods and I tend to get them just before, though the last year or so they haven't been anywhere near as bad as they used to be.
I've been prescribed codeine and also have been signed off for two weeks, with instructions to see the GP again in the new year.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 20/12/2006 12:07

Hi everyone! I must be logging on to late every day cos by the time I get here there have been a whole host of messages and then you all disappear!
Loulee, have you stuck to s specific brand of vitamins, or does it not seem to matter which you use so long as you take something?

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 20/12/2006 12:08

Cateleptic, glad to hear they are doing something to try and help. And signed off for a couple of weeks? Bit of a christmas bonus there!!

paulaplumpbottom · 20/12/2006 13:03

Its the Folic Acid thats so important

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 20/12/2006 13:34

Obviously important to the growing baby, but is it the folic acid that seems to help some people with MS?

ChristmasMadwithBump · 20/12/2006 13:42

Afternoon PG ladies.
I think I'm starting to get a grip with this MS thing, But I say that at a time that I don't seem to get it between 1-4/5 ish, so bad when I first get up, feel sorry for myself for a few hours, then loads better about 1pm, but the night time is the worse, still feel very down about it but what can I do Just roll on week 12-14. I'm taking Folic Acid, vit c, vit b6 and Iron, But I think they'll up my iron soon as I always have low iron and more so when PG! My friend brought a load of M-bras back in the summer sale at boots down to £2, she said I can try some on and see if one fits, so looking forward to that a bra fashion show!

I hate maternity bras, i loathe the idea of going to buy some.

Loulee · 20/12/2006 15:03

Feedme, it's called "pregnacare" - it was the 1st one i saw on the shelf - and said for pregnancy right through to breastfeeding (which i am also still doing) so i figured it can't do any harm. I guess these pregnancy multi-vits are all much the same though. The doctor said to me yesterday though that they are not necessary - only the folic acid.

No, i don't think it's the folic acid that helps with the ms - like someone else said, i think it's the B vitamins that help. Just so relieved it's working, i don't dare try another brand / stop for a day to see what happens! in previous pregnancies my ms went on for 6 months odd.

I think the Folic acid is primarily for reducing the risk of birth defects effecting the brain and spinal cord.

I know what you all mean about the maternity bras - i however am coming from the opposite side - looking at stopping feeding dd2 some time jan/feb and then having a few months of wearing normal pretty bras before dd3 !

Loulee · 20/12/2006 15:05

paulaplumpbottom - why don't you just buy a good selection of marternity bras online - figleaves is good - and then choose / send back the ones you don't want. You'll get a much better choice.

paulaplumpbottom · 20/12/2006 19:07

I hadn't thought of that, although I always get really bad service from Figleaves, but might try somewhere else. I'm just really busty 36E and sometimes its hard to find something, I was a 34c the last time so it was much easier.

Beakyman · 20/12/2006 20:52

Hi everyone. Thinking of you all in your varying degrees of m/s.

I am just SO tired! I slept over 2 hours Sunday afternoon when dh took ds out and then slept all night. Is that a record?!

BUT I think I have a bit less m/s this time and I wonder whether it is because I am only working part time and am therefore napping more (when ds is asleep). I always thought my m/s was tiredness related. What do you all think?

Also LOL to whoever was nearly sick on DH garlic breathe; that's so me!!!!!
And whoever suddenly likes fizzy drinks (so sorry I can't remember whho put what!), that's true for me too, but apparently, flat coke is known to settle any dodgy stomach. So there you go!

Catalepticdru · 21/12/2006 09:29

Hello ladies,

If you are intending to buy from figleaves.com, get an Egg card coz you'll get 15% off all purchases from there.

Feeling slightly better today, migraines subsiding due to regular codeine intake. Makes me very sleepy though. Supposed I'd better make the most of it since the sleepless nights will come all too soon.

DH and I had half a pot of strawberry cheesecake Haagen Dasz last night as well yummy!!

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 12:00

Mornin everyone,

I haven't felt great lately but this mornin was the worse. I went to take DD to pre-school and tossed my cookies right outside in the bushes in front of all her friends and their parents. I could have died of embarrasement.

I suppose that also lets the cat out of the bag to the mummys who didn't know at the school gates.

hormonalwreck · 21/12/2006 14:42

Poor you paula, don't think there's much hiding from that! loved the phrase 'tossed my cookies' such a charming way of putting it. I'm in work at the mo, falling asleep at me computer, soooo tired. Only another 2.5 hours to go.

Made the mistake of going straight to bed after work yesterday (had no dinner) then this morning felt sick as a dog, partly due to severe hunger I'm sure. Wish my body would make its mind up, either food or sleep, can't do both at the same time!

Loulee · 21/12/2006 14:49

Oh poor you PaulaP! - i know exactly how you feel - I took dd1 to nursery this morning after a sleepless night and feeling really woozy - luckily kept everything down!! Everyone seems to keep asking me how i am too - and if you accidently say 'not too great' they start asking concerned questions and I start telling white lies!

So many cravings too - many generated from this post. Last night was wishing for flat coke - and in on my own with the kids, so could only dream...Now I'm planning icecream for tonight - thanks Cataleptic!!

Had Drs appointment today and they have booked me to see midwife 1st week in Jan to get in for early scan so pleased about that!
IS anyone getting period type pains ( or had ) i am just over 5 weeks
xxxx

Catalepticdru · 21/12/2006 17:18

Pink - Yes I've been having period pains too. Not fair - I thought being pregnant meant freedom from period associated nastiness.... but obviously not

Babymad - I would get that lump checked out, it'll probably turn out to be nothing, but it'll be better for your peace of mind if you get it checked out.

Paula - well that's a pretty unique way of telling people you are pregnant! Hope you are feeling better now and that you got lots of fuss made over you!

Haven't thrown up in a while myself, just much feeling of nausea. Boobies not sore either just the odd twinge now and again. I think they are getting bigger. Might head down to M&S tomorrow if I feel up to it to get measured up...

bambi06 · 21/12/2006 17:28

hi there, after a shaky start of not wanting another baby and dh definitly not happy about it..see further up thread he has turned completley and cant wait and is becoming very protective of me ,if the kids get to boisterous and jump on me he pushes them off and protects my belly..aahh!! and in the morning he always pats my tummy and says hello baby!! how different canyouget ..i jokingly said it could be twins as im 40 oh hell!!! and theres more chance as you get older plus ive already started to get bigger and im 7 weeks on friday!! is anyone else finding they are showing already..im wondering whether its becaus eit s the third one and everything is loose and def not muscle toned..but i cant get into my jeans already and can feel that feeling when you have the small bump plus i can feel the difference in my belly just by touch so maybe it is twins..my dh is excstatic about the idea of having twins...hmmmm!!! my due date is 11 aug but i think earlier as my cycle is shorter tha t28 days..but ill see on the scan 3 jan..as theyre checking as ive had two miscarriages...symptoms are def stronger and i`ve never had just strong feelings of nausea before ..esp when in the car...

Catalepticdru · 21/12/2006 18:45

Aww glad dh has come around, good luck with your scan

Just had a thought about maternity bras, why not have a look at sports bras? They're often a bit looser in sizing and non-wired, I've got a couple that are basically crop tops, not the most flattering but extremely comfortable. They tend to be made from cotton as well.
I would go for the medium support ones, I would imagine the high impact ones might be a bit restricting.
They'll do for every day wear under a loose top.

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 19:04

Aren't we all a festive bunch? My dh wants to know when I will turn back into my cheerful self, so have resolved to pick myself up a bit. What he doesn't know is my smiles are down to the beautiful handbag I bought to put it there. Any other Dhs complaining about the grumps?

boobooma · 21/12/2006 20:55

Paula, yes, I'm busy being the bitch from hell and poor old dp is a bit shell shocked. Luckily for him we're going to visit the family so I'll be able to take it out on them instead.

Pink, i've got a few period pains too, grrr.

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 22:03

The cramps are normal as long as its extremely painful and there is no bleeding. If its worse than period pains I would go see the doctor.

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 21/12/2006 23:08

My Dh has "man flu' and he dont get ill, but at them moment i am not the most symathetic wife

Must try harder!

Thank you for your advice, they are not painful but just every now and then i get an "ache' like AF is going to turn up! Am on mad knicker watch! Np pain or blood s othat is good!

Hope everyone else is well - ~roll on January !!!
