Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Thanks Paula, dp remarking on my great mood today, think I'm going back for a snooze.

hormonalwreck · 16/12/2006 16:13

Feel like death too today. Christmas party's have started in ernest. Fought my way through a curry last night with all around me plastered and me desperatly quelling sickness, feeling bloated the size of a house and exhausted. The worst of it is feeling shocking this morning, almost as if I had a hangover when I drank orange juice and soda all night! there's no justice.

I bought DH 'Pregnancy for Blokes' book and he seems to have changed overnight, more tolerant of my mood swings and actaully understands that so much as a brush on my boobs is bloody painful. He still feels the need to tell me how to drive on the way back from pubs tho!

endlesslove - my mw said cramps and pains are normal but severe double-over in pain and/or bleeding is bad. Having no symptoms at all is not a problem - enjoy it!

boobooma · 16/12/2006 17:57

Hormonal, sounds like you managed well, not my idea of fun. Keep thinking, however tired I am, its because little baba is growing and growing, so thats good tired.

Catalepticdru · 16/12/2006 21:14

Evening all!

Back still aching, I've only known for a week that I'm pregnant but I'm fed up with all the sickness and aches already!
But then I think about this little life growing inside me and I think, "Wow!"

endlesslove · 17/12/2006 10:36

Hi ladies. Feeling down at the moment. Just constantly worrying and worrying and worrying some more and I wish I could just relax and enjoy being pregnant. All I keep thinking is maybe I have had a missed miscarriage or am going to miscarry or have an eptopic. I just want something to happen different to me (not the sickness), but for my boobs to grow a bit, or even face spotty, I don't care, I just want to feel a little pregnant. I was planning on telling families on Christmas day but thinking now that maybe I shouldn't just in case I am not. I just keep thinking to myself, what if I am not pregnant and I go the next 6 weeks until scan thinking I am. The only proof I have is no period and 5 pregnancy tests which show positive.

This is really getting me down and depressed and I just cannot concentrate. I don't want to rub salt in the wound to those who are feeling really crappy, but I think having no symptons is possibly just as bad. One extreme to another. Am actually crying whilst writing this as am so down. I just want this baby so much and don't think its going to last.

Sorry to rant. Just needed to let it out of my system and I suppose this is what this site is all about - helping each other.

Hope you are all well and not feeling too crappy. Just think its Christmas Eve this time next week. xxx

gardeninggirl · 17/12/2006 13:10

Endless I am so sorry you are feeling so down. It is a very weird time hon. Going on our EDD dates you are a couple of weeks behind me - and I did not get any m/s or anything really except feeling a bit hotter than normal a few weeks ago. I certainly was very emotional tho' and I think that might of been a 'pregnancy sign' itself - worrying about everything, including not feeling very sick etc!
So go easy on yourself if you can.
If you can't stop feeling really worried could you consider going to your GP - they could do a blood test?
Hope you manage to enjoy your sunday
GG

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 17/12/2006 13:17

can i join???

Got my BFP this morning! ( af due today)

I have one Ds already who is 4, had a missed misscarrge in August of this year so just hoping that this one sticks!!!!
Looking forward to getting to know you ladies over the next few months xxxxx

hormonalwreck · 17/12/2006 13:21

Endlesslove, I think you've unwittingly answered your own question. Being a bit emotional? (crying while typing on the computer) slightly irrational? (thinking you're not pg when you have 5!!! +ve tests) Your hormones are clearly raging and that is a clear symptom of pg!

Beware not to concentrate too much on it, as the other girls are saying, just think of that little life growing inside you. If you're really that concerned you could have and early scan. My hospital offers them from between 7 & 9 weeks, you should get to hear a heart beat at least (don't panic if you don't, some literature I've read says that sometimes you can't hear a heartbeat til 12 weeks)

Hang in there, I'm sure it's just your hormones making you feel down - which is good really!

Boobooma - Thanks for the encouragement! Had another xmas do last night - black tie do. I felt like a whale coz of bloating, was dreading it til we found out DH's best friend's wife is pg too and due to week b4 me - that's now 4 of my close friends pg (think they put something in the water a few weeks ago!)

hormonalwreck · 17/12/2006 13:25

tickleme - congrats!
will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Catalepticdru · 17/12/2006 21:48

Just me my new little niece, Eloise. She's 11 days old and absolutely gorgeous...

Endlesslove - I have to admit I understand what you mean, I've had a few moments when I've been quite worried about my pregnancy, because I don't really know what being pregnant is supposed to feel like.
Being on here has been quite reassuring - knowing that any weird symptons I've been having have been experienced by other women...

Uki · 18/12/2006 05:46

Hi All

Welcome pinktinsel, great news!!!!

LOL about all your christmas parties and making you drive, cheeky things!!!!
I'm well and truly past it coz i have not one party to go to, but i suppose because dh and I both work from home and we live 2.5 hours from most friends that would kinda rule most out. We will have big christmas though

Endless- i feel exactly the same hun, try not to worry, amazing me saying that though, you should read my post on pg after m/c!!!

I see this is your first pg so try and relax, they're arn't really many symptoms this early for some of us, and unless you have had symptoms such as really sore enlarged boobs that are now completely the opposite there isn't much to worry about.
but book an early scan about 8 weeks is good, mine was booked for 8th Jan and now moved till 15th will be 9.5 weeks coz sonographer is on holidays, can't wait till then, as i have had repeated m/c although never really felt anything weird. So i'm anxious but trying to be calm too.

ticklemepinkwithtinsel · 18/12/2006 08:20

thank you for your welcome.

Endless you are not alone feeling like that but just try and relax. Uki, just read your post on the other thread and know exactly how you are felling and am dreading the next 12 weeks but trying to stay calm , what we be will be i suppose!
i am going to try and get to my doctors this week to see if i can get scan in January, if they dont then i will pay for it private as i need that reassurance!
woke up today feeling really nausea(sp) which i am really happy about!!!

ChristmasMadwithBump · 18/12/2006 09:37

Morning all

I was in bed most of the week end feel so bad, throw up at the back of pizza hut, outside KFC and then in a car park, all on the way to the MIL's, Had to stop myself throwing up 5 times on the way to school today, feel so drained cant even make a bed at the moment. DH had to do most of the housework and stuff over the weekend I didn't know he had it in him. Going to the doctors this afternoon, hoping they can give me some anit-sickness tabs or something, also going to ask for an early scan, will let you know how I get on!
Back later, Babymadxxx

Babbit · 18/12/2006 10:07

Endlesslove - not sure if this is your first (haven't read all messages as there are so many!). Try not to worry, if the tests say positive you are pregnant! Not everyone has symptoms. I didn't last time and I am not having any this time either - so far. I think someone has said further down that morning sickness is a good sign. I have never heard this and think it is an old wives' tale. It is a sign - not good or bad; some get it, most don't.

smellymelly - 22nd August seems an awful long way away at the moment. I hope we don't have a heatwave!

missingmywine · 18/12/2006 11:03

Endlesslove - hello again - please please try not to worry - I still have no symptons and approx. 8 wks (maybe slighlty bigger boobs at a push - no pun intended!). I've not had sickness or anything so it doesn't happen to everyone. Have you been noticeably more tired, like really exhausted?

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 18/12/2006 12:16

Good afternoon ladies! Welcome tinsel! Endless, I agree with the others - I think the things you're saying definately show soem symptoms!!! Not to mention the 5 +ive pg tests!!
Chtistmasmad, sorry to hear you are so sick. I'm not feeling so good myself. Haven't been sick (but I'm never sick easily) but have had a few near-misses (also in carparks, etc!).
Am not a happy bunny today. I called one of my local hospitals to speak to the head midwife cos I want a vbac and have got the impression from other people that this particular hospital would be supportive. Didn't get hold of her but spoke to her secretary and left a message. Secretary said she doubted they would want me giving birth in their hospital!! I know its going to be difficult getting what I want, but being told this by her secretary FGS!!

endlesslove · 18/12/2006 13:18

Thank you so much ladies for your kind words of encouragement. Had a big cry to dh and defo think its hormones! Although I do cry quite easily normally, not all day!!!

MissingWine, I do not feel noticeably exhausted. I am always fairly tired but do not think I am anymore.

I want to go to the doctor but do not want to waste time being an over the top first time pregnant women!

I am due to see doctor and nurse on 4th January so will wait til then I think.

Thanks again, just feeling so unpregnant and worried.

Sorry to hear about those that are not feeling wonderful and blooming. Try and rest (easier said than done) and get to your docs and get some anti-sickness tabs. I have heard that those travel wrist bands are quite effective?! Sending you lots of get well wishes.

Thanks again. xxx

ChristmasMadwithBump · 18/12/2006 13:41

I have some MS wrist bands, their never off, still doesn't stop me being sick

KatieandBB · 18/12/2006 13:46

Did anyone get my message? I havent done this before and don't think I'm very good!

KatieandBB · 18/12/2006 13:49

Oh theres my message, the original that I think I deleted said I'm due on Aug 15th. Only found out on Friday evening! Very excited, boobs hurt a lot but no sickness as yet. having really bad problems sleeping though, any tips?

conkertree · 18/12/2006 14:01

Hi everyone - congrats to Katie and all the other newbies.

had christmas night out on friday with work and it was surprisingly ok. Told one friend at work and she helped me out by sitting next to me and drinking my wine during the meal. Then alternated soft drinks and alcoholic ones in the pub afterwards, giving the alcoholic ones to my friend, or taking them for a walk and leaving them on another table.

I had been prepared to tell people if it was really obvious, but it was so much easier to disguise than I thought - luckily i wasn't feeling to sick that day or that might have been harder.

KatieandBB · 18/12/2006 14:35

thanks conkertree! think I might have to tell girls at work, although I'm a bit nervous about tempting fate. we have works drinks on weds and they will only guess anyway, have first doctors appt in the morning...12 weeks till I can tell the world seems such a long way away....

oooh really need glass of wine, must resist!

KatieandBB · 18/12/2006 14:50

just read a bit more of this discussion, I have no symptoms either, other than tiredness but not being able to sleep. I would wuite like to feel a bit sick too, then I would at least know that somethings going on.. am getting a lot of period type pains though, not as painful just annoying. is this usual or should I worry?

Catalepticdru · 18/12/2006 15:13

My works do is next wednesday, but I don't really drink a great deal, so missing out on the free booze is no big deal.
By the way, no-one should feel pressured to have an alcoholic drink, it should be up to you whether you want a drink or not and you may choose to abstain for other reasons (driving,
up early, on antibiotics etc.). Don't feel obliged to explain why you are not drinking. Say you don't fancy a drink and leave it at that. Of course, if all your mates or friends normally see you as a raging alki that could be a bit tricky

As for me, keep getting bad headaches. They get me down more than anything....
Still having a short week this week, only in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday then off until the 2nd . Still have had several phone calls from work today. The perils of managment I guess

BibiJesus · 18/12/2006 15:31

Is crazy-insomnia a symptom? I haven't been able to sleep very well these last few nights, mind in a spin yet SO tired!

I had my first proper symptom last night - the breasts of boiling oil

Still counting myself v lucky that I am not suffering like some of you are. Xmas Sad
