Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

londonlou · 25/11/2006 09:37

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Congrats, Paula

Still feeling crap, had a really bad headache yesterday and still got it today. Think it was because I got stressed at work yesterday and then I panicked coz I thought well I can't get stressed coz it might harm the baby and then that made me even more stressed
I have to think calm happy thoughts..... unfortunately I do have a horribly stressful job.

paulaplumpbottom · 14/12/2006 18:03

I think headaches are just par for the course. I think it has something to do with circulation.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 14/12/2006 18:10

There's a big poster up at my Doctor's saying "If you are pregnant you will need to see a Midwife when you are 10 to 12 weeks, not before" They said ad much when I phoned them last week, but their app are a three week waiting list so I'll have to make an App soon!

Conkertree Glad your App was better than mine with DS#2, the midwife I saw that time made me upset as she really made me feel like I wasted her time, glad to know that yours made you feel very welcome!

paulaplumpbottom · 14/12/2006 18:15

Maybe you could get it confirmed with your GP like I did? I'm sorry your experiances are so bad.

hormonalwreck · 14/12/2006 19:29

I went to see my gp the monday after by bfp on the friday and she was lovely, she made me do another test there and then (not easy on command I must say!)then booked me in with the mw the next day! Apparently you have to be registered as a pregnant woman as soon as you know, I also got a file full of glossy brochures and leaflets and my medical maternity record. I'm surprised at you poor girls being given a hard time Must be a differant NHS trust or something - Cambridge seems to be quite good.

MW is coming to my house tomorrow which I'm a bit wary about - is that normal? (I know rescue centres do that when you get a puppy or kitten!?! is MW going to make judgements on our house) I'm frantically hoovering and dusting....

MW has been wonderful so far, given me a mobile number saying if there is ANYTHING i'm unsure about to call her. Since this is my first I assumed this was what normally happens.

jem1969 · 14/12/2006 19:36

Evening everyone

Can I join too? I'm geeting very addicted to MN!.
Got a BFP last Saturday after 18 months of trying. Happened naturally in the end but was going to try IUI/IVF this month so all a bit of a relief.

Tested on Day 28- think I am due on 18th August!.

I'm 37 and DH is 41. This is first pregancy so worried about everything! (Although, as we were told we would need IVF it's comforting to know that I CAN get pregnant naturally, whatever happens now).

Have done 5 tests so far! Got v strong instant result on Day 28 of cyvle. Went to consultant today and he said blood tests v good and will do them again on Monday.

Boobs hurt, but not too bad. Other than that just going to the loo a lot and think I feel bit sick but maybe imagining it a bit. Bit tired too.

DH is already starting to get on my nerves a bit by thinking he knows more about what/what not to eat when pregnant than all the experts!!

paulaplumpbottom · 14/12/2006 20:05

Congrats Jem!!!!! Just wait till you have had the baby. Then he will think he knows everything on pregnancy and birth.

BibiJesus · 14/12/2006 20:46

Sorry to hear you're all feeling so sicky and tired, I'm only tired because of dd and her early mornings so far. Having some impressive mood swings though, dh just LOVES those

Uki · 14/12/2006 21:27

HI all
I have my first obstetricain appoint today, so will try and get an early scan if everyone is not on holidays. It's weird in Oz, as i got good care when i lived in Sydney but now I am in a country area i have an obstetrician and even better care. I will probably book in to two hospitals though if things get complicated like last time I will travel to sydney as they have more intensive care options. Hope not though.
I don't know if it's the same in U.K but you don't have to go to the closest hospital you can go to anyone you want, just ring and book in early.

paulaplumpbottom · 15/12/2006 07:25

I think it depends where you are. I know I have my choice of hospitals.

Morning everyone, hope no one is feeling as bad as I am 2 day,
Been really sick this week, and so busy with all the xmas stuff and school fates/plays and what not.

Wow 21 of us , and still people joining us every day

My dd2 has not been well, she was up all night with the runs and tummy pain, the doc thought she had chicken pox earlier this week but I don?t think she dose, the spots never turned in to blisters so sure it cant be, nether of my dd?s have had chickenpox so I am paranoid about them getting it whilst I am pg, im not 100% sure iv not had it

endlesslove · 15/12/2006 12:40

Good afternoon pregnant ladies!

Feeling so worried as have no symptons. I obviously don't want the sickness but I want sore boobs. I know I shouldn't moan but all I keep thinking about is if I have had a missed miscarriage. Anyone know symptons for this?

Wishing you all a lovely day and great weekend.

xx

boobooma · 15/12/2006 12:46

Hello

Thanks Christmas & paula, methinks you are good at organising, get lots of practice with your dcs.

Uki, I'm pretty sure that i could choose out of 2 hospitals last time, though the midwife team I saw all the way through the pregnancy only cover the nearest, so it wouldve been new midwives on the day at the other hospital.

Bresha, I've only got 2 symptoms, I am falling asleep as soon as I've eaten at night and I'm either giddy or getting annoyed with dp.

boobooma · 15/12/2006 12:47

Oops, that last bit was for endlesslove. I never got ms last time, hurrah! so maybe you wont either.

I keep putting Creme Fraiche on everything. Is that weird or what?

gardeninggirl · 15/12/2006 16:58

I have wanted fruit pastils for the last 2 days !

Congratulations to you Jem1969 how fab you guys beat the IVF Congrats and welcome to all the other august ladies!
Hormonal wreck - wish I lived nearer Cambridge! My GP was completely disinterested!

Has anyone had a scan yet - I think Uki might have been going for one - would love to hear what your experiences are?
My friend has organized one for me on monday - I am actually excited but kindof dreading it - what if nothing is there? etc etc Sigh -more to worry about!

smellymelly · 16/12/2006 06:29

Morning! Awake at 5.30 this morning, so had to get up. Took me ages to read all the new messages and I have only been off mumsnet for 1 day! .

Congrats Jem - what a great Xmas present!

Hormonalwreck - you are incredibly lucky with the response you have had so far from gp and midwife, make the most of it.

My moods have kicked in with a vengeance in the last few days, well actually they are more like rages!! Poor ds1 - I had to tell him it is not his fault and that women just get like this - an early lesson he probably doesn't need yet.

No ms yet.

Went to see doc on Tues, seems I have the 7 week scan thing wrong here, or maybe that was just in Paris. It is normally at 12 here too. But I mentioned I have had an ectopic so it seems I can have an early one. All she told me to do was find a nurse in the yellow pages and make an appt for her to come to my house next week for a blood test to confirm pregnancy.. very bizarre! I asked if she could recommend anyone and she just said to find one closest to me!?! Thankgod I have been pregnant before, as I am scared enough at having to do it all in French.

Forgot to put in my sats that Dh is 32, but do not want to copy and paste the whole thing again just for that as it is getting quite long already, so maybe if someone new joins in they could do it for me please? Thanks

smellymelly · 16/12/2006 06:31

Babbit - we are due on the same day!

boobooma · 16/12/2006 08:52

Good morning

Am seriously beginning to doubt my ability to do this pregnancy with DS waking at 4am most mornings and going back down for an hour if we're lucky. I am feeling flattened at 4 weeks.

paulaplumpbottom · 16/12/2006 10:09

9 months is a long time. YOu'll be able to get him settled before the baby gets here. .You'll be just fine. Mothers all over the world do it all the time, you will to

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 16/12/2006 11:34

Morning ladies! I feel like poo! I just want to go back to bed and/or cry. I'm swinging from feeling ravenous to feeling sick and I'm SOOO tired.
Can't believe how different it all is in different places, with mw's and gp's all telling everyone such different things. I'm really reluctant to see either a mw or gp cos I know I'm going to have a fight on my hands for the whole of my pregnancy (I'm going to try for a VBA2C, not something much encouraged!) so I'm going to need you lot a whole lot, I think!

ChristmasMadwithBump · 16/12/2006 12:35

Afternoon PG Ladies!
Feel like s**t today not long got up feel that bad! Going for bath in a mo hope it helps. Feel SOOOOOOO sick all the time never lets up and boobs are 3x the size they were b4 PG, DH, family and friends thinks its more than 1, I hope not I wouldn't be able to cope, even though I brought up my eight brothers! With the All day sickness nothing is helping anymore i think I've cracked it with something then the next time it doesn't wrok! sigh!!!!
Ranting over!
Going to the doctors on monday get the PG noted and beg him for a early scan, I always get my own way , and Ask him about anit-sickness tabs! DH still keeps laughing at me when I pull my going to be sick face, I'll get my own back, !

Hope you all are fine and well, back later!
