Is there a Due in August 2007 Thread?

I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

definitive list for what paulaplumpbottom?

paulaplumpbottom · 13/12/2006 17:48

What we can't eat

bresha · 13/12/2006 18:11

Paté, peanuts, under cooked eggs and blue-vein or mould ripened crust cheeses , i think thats it , not unless its changed since i had dd2

Drinking alcohol can harm your baby. There is no safe limit, so it really is best to stop drinking altogether. However, if you decide to drink alcohol during pregnancy remember the Department of Health advice and limit yourself to one standard unit of alcohol a day (one standard pub measure of wine, half pint of cider, beer or lager).

Some research has linked too much caffeine consumption to miscarriage and low birth weight so you should limit your intake to no more than 300mg a day.

Catalepticdru · 13/12/2006 19:12

Ooops, I had some turkey, cranberry and blue stilton cheese sarnies yesterday. They were rather nice...

Feel terrible today. Headache, butterflies in stomach, back pain and been feeling very depressed and weepy.
Yesterday I was the complete opposite!

I'm sure it will be fine.

BibiJesus · 13/12/2006 20:09

Thanks for the lists guys. Have eaten a few brie and cranberry sarnies of late but will give it a miss from now on. Darn it, I LOVE brie

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 13/12/2006 21:14

I thought you were only to cut out nuts if you had family history or ashma, exczema (sp???)etc. I seem to have a bit of a thing for nuts! Sods law that I'll have a craving for something I'm not allowed!!

BibiJesus · 13/12/2006 21:44

I thought it was only peanuts you had to avoid and nuts in general if there was a closely linked history of nut allergies.

DH wouldn't even let me have a bl**dy snickers bar when I was having dd and we've got no allergy history!

I am a nervous wreck for some reason this time i don't have any symptom's apart from tingly boobs. With other 2 they were killing me by now.
Just want sore boobs and to feel sick mad eh?

smellymelly · 14/12/2006 06:43

Congrats - Ilovebabies, wulfricsmummy

I have only had sore boobs with one of my pregnancies (and there have been a few!) It was my dd1.

My ms kicked in the 1st day of my missed period when I was carrying my twins, (normally starts at around 5 weeks, and I was showing by 10 weeks, my friends were all asking questions then. The only time I had no sickness was an ectopic, so I am waitng for it to kick in this time, even though I hate it. It usually stops for me at around 10 weeks, even with the twins.

The only symptoms I have at the mo, is slight cramps on and off, bloting, and about 5 bfp's!!

Last month I was adamant I was pregnant, I seemed to have symptoms coming out my ears, but now I have none...

smellymelly · 14/12/2006 06:44

LOL - not Bloting!!! - 'bloating!!'

conkertree · 14/12/2006 09:05

morning everyone - ooh am nervous today - got my first midwifes appointment at 11.45 - really dont know what to expect. Have been trying to remember family health histories etc.

am very nervous about them hearing a heart beat. just got to get through two hours of work first and then can go.

BibiJesus · 14/12/2006 09:46

Don't worry too much if you don't get a heartbeat conkertree, I didn't get to hear dd's until I was at least 14+ weeks. How far along are you?

Good luck, hope it goes well!

conkertree · 14/12/2006 09:48

just 8 weeks but the midwives didnt have any other appointments for the next four weeks so told me i really had to come then or wait till 13 weeks and they didn't recommend that.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 14/12/2006 11:24

Morning PG ladies!
Good Luck with MW app conkertree!
MS/AS 10x worse this morning, I was being sick while blushing my teeth (party trick!). DH just keeps laughing at me, I told him I felt like I was dieing this morning he just said it's only sickness I would like to see him with it, then see what he say's then, hehehehe, but that's never going to happen, us women have to put up with it while the mans work is done! Been sucking on rich tea biscuit for over an hour now, I might go Doctor's for ant-sickness tabs!

hormonalwreck · 14/12/2006 11:43

purplerabbit - thats so cool that we're due on the same day must be weird that your sister is expecting too. My sister has her DD's 8 and 10 years ago and I've been nagged at by my mum ever since!

I think there's going to be alot of surpised and happy families this Christmas - is anyone not spilling the beans on Christmas morning between the sherry and the mince pies!

On the nut front, it's just peanuts that you have to avoid. There's some evidence that they can increase the risk of your baby having nut allergy and/or exzema (sorry about the spelling) but only if allergies are in your family already - info from my frinds old issue of Mother and Baby magazine - hope that helps, as I read it, other nuts like walnuts, and brazils (especially chocolate coated ones) are fine!

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 14/12/2006 12:20

Hi everyone! You back yet Conkertree? How did it go?
I feel sick today, and actually thought I WOULD be sick earlier (v. unusual for me!)Have told my dp that he is going to have to deal with all food from now on, cos I can't handle it!

conkertree · 14/12/2006 13:39

hi - bit of a disappointment - they did all the history stuff and choosing the hospital, but no scan - do have to go to the hospital for that so wont be till mid to late january - i know thats normal but was hoping to at least check for a heart beat or something.

She didn't even ask for my wee bottle of pee after telling me to bring one, and me spending a fair bit of time perfecting my technique . But she gave me lots of glossy leaflets and tutted at me complaining of cramps so guess i will assume there is nothing to worry about.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 14/12/2006 16:57

DH keeps on at me to go doctor and MW, but I've told him its a waste of time at the moment, I went to see a MW at 7 weeks with DS#2 and the MW made me feel like I was wasting her time or something, plus I never got anything out of it as all she did was check BP that's it and filled in a few forms, than just made me an app with her in my 13th week, I was so upset at the time and I'm not doing that again I'll wait and book it for my 10th week or something. Got to go Doctors next week anyway I'll just let with know that I'm PG while I'm there, tell him I don't know the date for one reason or another and he'll get a scan rolling for me anyway then, and if he does book me in for an early scan I wont bother going to see MW till I'm 12+!

conkertree · 14/12/2006 17:10

the mw certainly didnt make me feel like i was wasting her time, its just i'd got the impression it would be the full booking in appointment (but that serves me right for getting my DH to book it and get the info since i didnt want to call from work).

it seemed to be an in between - more useful than just going to see the gp, but less useful than the full booking in one. but at least i'm in the system now and the scan has been requested from the hospital midwives for mid jan.

paulaplumpbottom · 14/12/2006 17:37

Well I went to the doctor, so I'm officially Pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They also said everything looked ok although they didn't do a scan cause I'm only 5 weeks. They also changed my due date to the 14th. Hope all of yall are good today.
