spinasnowflake · 06/12/2006 20:55

Congrats Mamatuks,beepbeep and Accessorise!

I'm so jealous!!! AQ,you told me to enjoy my mat leave!!!Then you go off and have a baby. I want one now too!!!!

Eating a pinapple a day but have a really nasty cut on thumb from a knife realated incident today. (Clumsy me?never?)

Think I need to have a good bonk!Friend with 8wk old advised me too!

But I've got a surprise baby shower tommorrow(that obviously isn't too much of a surprise!)
And a friends birthday party on Sat so I may need to pencil in a baby on Sunday(AS if I could have that much control of it!)

spinasnowflake · 06/12/2006 20:57

mumatuks,sorry my typing/spelling is awful!

weirdbird · 06/12/2006 22:22

"Please God..."

jabberwocky · 06/12/2006 22:44

Congrats AQ and beepbeep! I love the name Elliot

BaileysMilkshake · 07/12/2006 02:39

Check out the time of this post - I have a cough and cold aso have come down to sleep on sofa so as not wake DH, but somehow the PC lured me over!

Beepbeep - apologies I missed your announcement Crongrats I love the name Esta.

Also congrats AQ - and very because your due date was after mine!

I still have no signes, though bump has shifted from my left to my right.

Stupid cat woke me up at midnight - put her out and came back up to find she had messed in DD's room - right where DD likes to play at bedtime, . Woke DH as I cannot go near cat mess being PG and despite being up from 4am till 10pm yesterday he dutifully cleaned it up until I could get at it and soak the crpet in dettol. When he gets home today he say's he's going to hoover upstair and check eveywhere else to. Bloody cat! I always stand up for her as she's the one who needs valium and licks her self bald - but no more!

satinshoes · 07/12/2006 07:37

Milkshake - our cat brought fleas in 2 weeks ago. After treating him and the whole house we're still finding the odd one. Its not his fault but it has 'tested our relationship'

Hope everyone has a good day. No further signs here so the other day was truly a fals alarm...

spinasnowflake · 07/12/2006 09:21

Sorry to hear about cat troubles.

Still sitting here feeling like the actual act of having a baby is still very, very far off for me.

Man-with-new-ceiling is here today. So although I can prob pop out for a few moments at a time,I'm pretty much a prisioner in my own home. I've tried to save loads of "at home" jobs for the next 6 days but I'm already getting itchy feet!!!

Is it my imagination or have we been a bit quieter of late on this thread(Not that I'm complaining-it still takes ages to read!!!)

All off having babies I guess!!!

Had not quite contractions, but def not wind, etc either last night! Yipee!Just after having finished another bowl of pineapple and papaya! I'm being to resent pinapple as much as I do RLT!

Reminds me-must get it out of fridge so it's not COLD!

TCXXX

spinasnowflake · 07/12/2006 09:28

Sorry about the cough and colds out there too!

We've all got it here too,but obviously it's DH that's got the worst bout There is something very annoying about knowing the plethora of things he can take to ease his symptoms(but doesn't!),while I sit here drinking honey, lemon and clove tea(which is actually FAB and seems to work!)
Not that i'm moaning. He's a star really, but unfortunately men don't do ill.And he's so unsympathetic about my severed(drama queen moi?) thumb. It's really awkward to do anything with a thumb that's split!

Carameli · 07/12/2006 09:44

yes it is rather quiet. I am around this morning, just dropped off dd at nursery, she is there 2 mornings a week. I am supposed to be finishing writing Christmas cards but get carried away with surfing. GOing to chill out with my hypnotherapy cd in a bit.
Even if it does not do a bit of good in actual labour it really chills me out for an hour or so right now.

got a gorgeous baby snuggle fleece this morning. Its really sweet and so so soft(jojomamanbebe) and even dh realises he can't wrap his son up in pink blankets that we had with dd.

baby jumping around like mad this morning, think it must have long legs.

weirdbird · 07/12/2006 09:53

I think my waters are leaking, do I need to do anything??

Its not gushing just a small trickle every so often

satinshoes · 07/12/2006 10:04

how exciting weirdbird.

call the hospital and they'll probably suggest you go in so they can check. it can take 72 hours for anything to happen and they'll probably send you home once they've established either way but it is important they know i think.

Good luck - let us know what happens.

Carameli · 07/12/2006 10:16

good luck wierdbird, hope its the real thing for you....

spinasnowflake · 07/12/2006 10:31

good luck WB!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

weirdbird · 07/12/2006 10:47

Well I wont be going anywhere till the floods go down, its like Armageddon here, wind, rain and now we are having huge hail stones, theres thunder and lightening and a lake where our driveway used to be...

All rather exciting really!

satinshoes · 07/12/2006 10:48

where are you w/b? we've just had a MAJOR hailstorm.

weirdbird · 07/12/2006 11:04

I am next to Heathrow, why where are you

Glorious sunshine now

satinshoes · 07/12/2006 11:05
