Where is everybody?! ????

lostindubai · 02/09/2015 17:54

Hi Ispy

How are you feeling now? Hope it's not hyperemesis but food poisoning doesn't sound great either. Wow, you're still bf a lot! I'm just once a day now, and lord, are my nipples sore! Wink

hideandsqueak · 02/09/2015 22:19

Hi ispy! Has the morning sickness kicked in yet? My 22mo DS is down to 1/2 super quick feeds now.
How is your energy levels lostindubai? Did the spatone help?
I have the midwife tomorrow. I might ask her about the feeding/labour thing. See what she says!

ispyfispi · 02/09/2015 22:54

Yay there are people here! I was worried you were all laid up with terrible sickness! I'm feeling much better thank you so just waiting for normal morning sickness/tiredness to kick in. Haven't had the sore nipples yet either so may have to reduce feeds if/when that happens. How many weeks are you now Hide? Hope your appointment goes well.

waxweasel · 03/09/2015 13:33

I'm here I'm here! Nothing much to report, just feeling really sick and knackered all the time. It's been nausea up until now but I started properly projectile vomiting last night which was grim - hoping it was a one off as I was overtired.

Had a scan last week and all's looking good :)

hideandsqueak · 03/09/2015 17:52

Projectile vomiting doesn't sound good wax. Hope that eases off soon! Good news about the scan however.

Ispy not sure everyone gets the sore nipples? You may be lucky! Mine was only bad for a few weeks anyway and then stopped hurting again. I am 34+1 and spent the day at cbeebiesland. My feet are killing! My midwife this morning was lovely and we chatted a bit about tandem. She said how my milk should come in quicker and that I might not get the big blown up boob moment when it does come in... Shame as that was a comedy moment!!

ispyfispi · 03/09/2015 20:27

Oh Wax I hope you're not too poorly, it's not fun when you have a little one to look after. How lovely to have had a scan though, that feels like ages away for me!

Feet up for you Hide! 34 weeks, that seems to have gone so quickly, you'll have a new little one soon ??

waxweasel · 04/09/2015 14:04

I'm so impressed at you tandem feeding Hide - that was the one thing I was terrified about, mainly because DD was so boob obsessed and would only feed off one side. So how I'd manage two babies off one boob I dont know! It's amazing you've persevered with it through pregnancy and sore boobs too.

Ispy, I got a private early scan because I'm mad impatient and was paranoid about twins (they run in my family). Still only 9 weeks so a little while to go until the first proper scan. It was still amazing to see the little heart beating though!

Feeling so much better today - we're on holiday with my parents, have a wedding tomorrow but am spending today on the sofa in front of a log fire while they are off with DD at the beach. Bliss!

hideandsqueak · 05/09/2015 07:40

Wax that sounds lovely! Very relaxing... And a good excuse to take it easy and let others look after your DD...

I am counting down the hours until Tuesday when DS is at nursery. I've finished work now so get a whole luxurious day to myself to sleep..

ispyfispi · 05/09/2015 18:21

We had a private scan last time Wax mainly because we wanted to tell the older kids about the pregnancy first but couldn't have waited until the NHS one at 13 weeks, I was showing by then! Just the one in there then?! I hope you're enjoying your lovely weekend.

Hide, a day in bed sounds amazing! I've been napping with ds this week ????

aprilrainshowers · 05/09/2015 20:38

Hi everyone, excited to be able to join this thread though a bit tentative as I am only 4wks pregnant after being lucky enough to catch the 3rd pp egg with a luteal phase of 5-7 days. I'm 33 and my DS is 20 months and still breastfeeding typically 2-3 times in the day and 3-4 times in the night. In the last couple of weeks he has been feeding a lot more during the day and asking for the 'other side' several times a feed, don't know if this is a phase (2 year molars are making an appearance!) or whether my supply could have dropped already... I'm hoping not! Wondering when/if others noticed a drop in supply as I thought it usually didn't happen until about the 4-5 month?

hideandsqueak · 05/09/2015 21:12

Hi April. Congratulations! I didn't notice a drop in supply until about 4 months. The first thing I noticed was sore nipples and nausea with letdown. It could just be teeth? My DS is 22 months and has his molars coming through and sometimes keeps unlatching and relatching. One thing that did happen in early pregnancy is that he became a one boob toddler and completely rejected one side. Could it be that?

waxweasel · 06/09/2015 09:19

Congratulations April!!

aprilrainshowers · 06/09/2015 10:24

Thanks wax and hide! That's interesting about rejecting a boob hide. I don't think he is showing a preference. It probably it is just teeth. I can still hear him gulping when he drinks before bed and in the night so hopefully my supply holds up a bit longer. When did the sore nipples kick in? Mine were really sore around ov and have stayed sore but nothing too bad..

ispyfispi · 06/09/2015 16:56

My ds swaps sides about 20 times a feed April but has done since before my bfp! I just don't think I generally produce much these days anyway. He won't be able to keep doing that with a new baby attached to one ????

hideandsqueak · 06/09/2015 17:46

I think the sore nipples started around 6/7 weeks. I had to get the lansinoh back out! But it didn't last for too long. Just a few weeks.

lostindubai · 07/09/2015 20:27

Hi squeak I have had to stop with the spatone for a while as I'm suffering with quite a bit of constipation Sad and was worried it might be contributing to the problem (even though I just had one a day). It definitely helped with my energy though, hope to start again when things settle down a bit.

Congrats April! Smile

hideandsqueak · 08/09/2015 08:55

Oh no lost but yes don't blame you. Constipation is best avoided at all costs!
Hopefully your energy will pick up soon.

hideandsqueak · 08/09/2015 08:57

I have the whole day to myself! DS has just left for nursery and I am still in my pyjamas. Planning on packing my hospital bag today and buying anything left to buy. And sleeping.

aprilrainshowers · 08/09/2015 17:33

Hope you had a lovely relaxing day hide.

Ispy have you tried floradix? When I have taken that for low iron actually found it made me more regular so might be worth a try..

Think I've got a bit to wait before the really sore nipples and naseua kick in but can't help wishing for some unmistakable symptoms.. though I have had heartburn nearly all day which I never get. I'm not yet 5 weeks but the GP put me at 6 weeks yesterday based on lmp so I'm hoping I get my booking appointment and scan early..

hideandsqueak · 15/09/2015 21:34

How is everyone? I am 36 weeks tomorrow and have started don't offer don't refuse ?? DS isn't interested at the moment although iggle piggle is still having booby once a day. Obviously i know he may well start up again when he sees the new baby BF but my nipple needs a holiday!!

Cuppachaplz · 17/09/2015 10:03

Hi everyone,
Not really a graduate as I wasn't TTC (coil in situ)
However, I'm still feeding DS2 (9m) and just found out I'm pregnant again. No idea how far as bled for a day in February and May and that's it since PPH.
Just come on for a little support and advice as I'm nervous about feeding as I have a history of recurrent miscarriage (15 between DS1 and DS2)

MayFlowers16 · 17/09/2015 21:13

Hi everyone, sorry for not being around, missing the mn app still!

Welcome and congrats to Cuppa

36 weeks hide, you're nearly there!! How are you feeling?

I'm 21 weeks now, had my 20w scan this week, all was well and we were told it was 'probably' another girl. So happy!!

hideandsqueak · 18/09/2015 19:15

May i am missing the app as well and definitely coming on here a lot less...

Ahh a girl how lovely! I too am having a girl... Have had it confirmed at 3 scans so I think it should be a girl! It must be a lot easier having two of the same for clothes etc...

Welcome cuppa! And congratulations...

I'm feeling pretty good for 36 weeks apart from the constant heartburn... 3 weeks and 3 days until my section!

MayFlowers16 · 18/09/2015 20:44

Wow, not long at all hide. It must be nice to know the date already so you can plan and get organised.

I'm considering a private gender scan. I can't get the word 'probably' out of my head. Was she just being professional, in case it's a boy. Or did she genuinely not know?! Argh, the suspense!
