Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 34th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

indigo was it pure cringe or did you do a little cry? That was canny of your friends.

CountryGal4 · 29/07/2015 21:21

How long did that take to come back jelly

Jcandy · 29/07/2015 21:43

Looking I've had antenatal depression and anxiety so far through this pregnancy. CBT has helped to bring me to a good place even though I don't get on with my counsellor definitely get some help!

Pretzel and Carrot my GP has said the palpitations are probably just normal but has sent me for bloods to check my thyroid level and to check if I'm anaemic. He said to go back if they get worse or if I get breathless with them.

Heartburn has started today, got my giant bottle of gaviscon at the ready!

Been to my first daisy birthing class tonight and loved it Smile very relaxing and my back has stopped aching too (I suffer with chronic back pain and it had started to flair up again with work)

I'm making lemon drizzle cake tomorrow Smile

MollyBloomYes · 29/07/2015 21:45

looking can't recommend cbt highly enough. I was suffering so much with anxiety my body sort of shut down with depression to cope. I was very ill but cbt did amazing things (alongside SNRI antidepressants which obviously you'd want to avoid in pregnancy. However, was able to come off them and keep utilising cbt techniques and have never looked back). I got mine on the NHS so definitely worth asking for referral. Hope you can access some help, it's horrible when you're in the midst of it Flowers

Take your time and rest up la. Don't let them hold back on the painkillers and if you're struggling to sleep try lying down with something mindless like take a break or a podcast! You're on no deadline to do anything except feeding your gorgeous boy and looking after yourself!

deeplybaffled · 29/07/2015 22:47

la - glad to hear from you and hope you have had a bit more sleep by now. Come back and welcome whenever you are ready, but don't push yourself for our sake.

looking - you are definitely not alone. I have suffered from anxiety / depression for a number of years now, and have been on medication for a long time. Tried to come off it a few times now but the problems came back, so have accepted now it will probably be life long.

was convinced it would mean i couldn't have children, so looked into it a lot, and had an appointment with a consultant who knew a lot about it, and said it would be ok on that medication, and better than yoyoing up and down.

currently nearly 35 weeks, and so far, baby d seems fine - was bang on 50th centile on scan on monday and really quite wriggly.

not saying this to push the idea that pills are the answer by any means, but just to tell you not to rule it out, as things aren't necessarily that black and white when it comes to pregnancy and anxiety, and there are professionals out there who can help you. You do not need to suffer in silence. Honestly. BrewCakeFlowers

pretzelpieces · 29/07/2015 22:58

Thanks for the info jc, hope your tests come back okay. Smile

DulcetMoans · 30/07/2015 01:49

Hope you are getting your head down la. It's a completely overwhelming time without complications and even more difficult when things didn't go to plan.

I've heard good things about CBT as well looking. A lot of us has anxiety in pregnancy, even if we haven't had it before. Can't GP refer for CBT?

There was talk earlier in the day about the rhesus negative thing. I never got told baby blood type but they do check it. When I asked I was told he was positive but had to check notes myself for specifics.

Lovely friends indigo, hope it wasn't to embarrassing!

honeysucklejasmine · 30/07/2015 02:00

Morning. DH currently has head down toilet so I am trying to ignore the noise. Not sure what's wrong with him. He had a spicy pizza for tea so maybe it didn't agree with him.

I've had a lovely few days with friends, but really tired now.

Lookingforadvice123 · 30/07/2015 07:00

Thanks for your support viroids. In RL as much as I have plenty of supportive people, very few have obviously experienced anxiety to this level and so just think I'm a "worrier". Will definitely look into the options available.

jellypi3 · 30/07/2015 07:19

country about a week and a half :)

SecondCupOfTea · 30/07/2015 07:31

Managed a very broken 4 hours of sleep last night. I'm getting fed up of night time insomnia and daytime exhaustion Sad

We're off to my early scan later this morning (which has no doubt contributed to the sleep problems). Hopefully I'll have some good news later.

honeysucklejasmine · 30/07/2015 07:56

Ooh, have fun Tea!

pretzelpieces · 30/07/2015 08:01

Good luck tea!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 30/07/2015 08:06

How exciting Second!!! I have my finger's crossed for you - the first scan is always a bit nerve wracking.

Jcandy - good luck with the lemon drizzle cake. I personally think they are EVIL. Evil evil temptation! The bbc has some very good recipes though Wink

For anyone beginning to think of maternity wear, I thought I'd give a heads up on some leggings I bought. It's such a pain trying to figure out what clothes are like before buying them online (although these I found in store).

I got the H&M "Conscious" maternity leggings yesterday (96% organic cotton and just under ten euros). I'm specifying because I think they do another type of maternity leggings called "mama" or something.

I bought the size S because I had heard that loads of maternity leggings tend to run on the large size. These do not run on the large size

At the moment they fit perfectly, but I honestly can't see how they will encompass a much bigger bump. The rise isn't low, but not very high either, so as the belly gets bigger would probably stop halfway/not quite halfway across bump.

The length is good on me, but then again I'm 5 foot 8, so if you are petite you might need to roll up the bottoms or cut and re hem if you have magic powers.

ThursdayLast · 30/07/2015 08:07

Have you had a scare Tea? I don't remember sorry, but hopefully it'll all be good news! I think we're about the same aren't we? Good luck!

I have to take DS over to see his smokey GPS for lunch today - gonna have to try not to vom Sad. Luckily we've all got plans this arvo/evening, so I can't stay too long. God I feel so bad saying it, but I really don't enjoy my mothers company.

Anyways. 7+2 ish here today - waiting in my MW to call and arrange booking in any day now Smile

SecondCupOfTea · 30/07/2015 08:18

No Thursday no scare at all so far. No acute pains (just on/off grumbly ones which I believe are normal), no spotting, no referred shoulder pain, etc.

Mainly going because of my age and the greater risk of MC (and hence MMC), and I need to tell my employer rather soon so I want some reassurance Blush

ThursdayLast · 30/07/2015 08:24

Oh good Smile You had me worried there for a mo! I'm sure it'll all be fine.

jellypi3 · 30/07/2015 08:35

Good luck today tea :) those early scans are pretty amazing.

Gouda i must admit I bought a pair of mat tights, because my bloat was making my ones dig in. They are amazing! I am tempted to replace my who wardrobe with mat tights but not for £8 a pair

14 weeks today Grin it's going a lot quicker now!

pretzelpieces · 30/07/2015 08:43

I'm into maternity clothes already, although getting away with some of my old high rise leggings too. Blush how can I have a bump at 13 weeks? But it looks really... Bumpy? Could be bloat as well I suppose. Hmm but it's there in the morning too. DP says it's a little bump.

Anyway I wanted to say that I really like the navy maternity jeggings from New Look (overbump). They're substantial enough to wear as skinny jeans but nice and close fitting.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 30/07/2015 08:49

pretzel I've never worn jeggings but they seem so uncomfortable!! Maybe I will have to see if I can have a look at some non maternity ones to get an idea of what they are like.

Also, I think my bump was bigger at 13 weeks than it is now at 17! I guess partly because as the uterus moves up baby gets more room, and partly because gas and constipation issues start to clear up a little bit. And even if it is just bloat, maternity clothes are SO FUCKING COMFORTABLE.

pretzelpieces · 30/07/2015 08:53

gouda Ah ok, so the bump might go away and come back again! Yeah I've never liked jeggings before either, but in this case they're ideal for me as I wanted something like skinny jeans but a bit softer with a bit more give Grin

CarrotPuff · 30/07/2015 08:57

Morning viroids.

Good luck with the scan today Tea!

I'm with you on the insomnia, it's fucking ridiculous! Didn't help that DS woke up 3 times as well, and I couldn't get back to sleep easily. In fact, I don't think I slept at all between wake up #1 and 2. I'm sooo tired...

thanks for the heads up gouda. I had mat tights from H&M but I didn't like them. They were not tight/supportive enough around bump and also had two seams on the bottom that dug in and were v uncomfortable. I can recommend Next mat jeans/trousers though, v comfy (but then I find Next suits my shape best anyway).

Purpleball · 30/07/2015 09:07

I just bought bigger leggings and knickers. Otherwise I'm in my normal clothes top-wise but I wore loose things anyway.
As long as nothing cuts my bump in half I'm ok

Purpleball · 30/07/2015 09:09

Gx for the scan Tea Smile

RhiannonElward · 30/07/2015 09:40

Good luck for the scan today Tea Smile

Looking it makes sense to see a doctor, anxiety is horrible. Go easy on yourself too, this is a big life event you're going through and everybody gets stressed but if you're struggling there is help there to be made the most of.

Maternity clothes are really comfy, I got some treggings from h&m which fit lovely except for on the ankles where they're a bit tight and some basic black leggings off eBay for only 4.50 a pair, they are comfy as hell but I felt completely naked from the waist down for the first week. I'm normally a jeans kind of girl and it was very weird to be wearing such comfy clothes. Now I'm used to them I'm not sure if I can go back actually, especially as most of my jeans are skinny fit size 6 so they won't be fitting me for quite some time post-birth.
