Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 34th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 33rd grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Jcandy - British passports are worth an absolute fortune in their own right - it's been a few years, but last time I worked in that area a stolen british passport had a value of £800 and upwards. It's super important that your parents cancel the passports ASAP and report them as stolen (though I'm sure they already know that). So sorry to hear about your parents being robbed - that's horrific.

looking - Yes, I missed roughly an entire thread accumulatively! I didn't see in the last thread that you were having a boy - amazing!!!! You must be so happy to finally know! I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow that the baby is in the most shameless position possible so the gynaecologist can get a good look.

Bit nervous about the scan tomorrow. At 16 weeks I've pretty much stopped the first trimester symptoms, but haven't started any new ones, so have been feeling "less pregnant" than a while ago. Also going through a weird phase where I'm worried I'm not going to love the baby and really resent it. I love kids and children, but have never really understood why people like babies so much.

I'll just wait over here for my mum of the year award.

Gouda never fear, your own are different! I'm sooooooooo not into babies, but having your own is like an all encompassing compulsory project that you just have to get into! You just sort of...get in with it...does that make sense?

I much much much prefer my DS as a 2yo, than as a baby Grin

RPopz · 23/07/2015 10:12

I think that's a really good idea La xxx Thanks Bloody show means baby is imminent!! Don't forget to drink and wee!!

jellypi3 · 23/07/2015 10:15

How did you do the announcement pret. I want to do one after this weekend but not sure how to

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 23/07/2015 10:16

Sorry for absence (am I even allowed on here any more??) but just popping by to check on La. Good luck lovely. Hope everyone else is well too. It's too quiet upstairs for me to read back now, got to see what is Going On with my DSs. But will try to keep up...

gaggiagirl · 23/07/2015 10:17

Morning!
I'm away to Greggs today. Hmmmm pasties!

pretzelpieces · 23/07/2015 10:32

jelly I just did a simple one posting the scan pic, saying I'm due in Feb and we're really happy and tagging DP so his friends (friends of tagged) can all see it. We've got lovely comments congratulating us :) just feels a bit weird that so many people know now!

Hi Gouda, Eep your 20 week scan tomorrow? I can't believe how quickly the first half of pregnancy has gone. I feel as though I have been counting up to 20 weeks and then I will be counting down, if that makes sense?! I felt very detached from the whole process for quite a while tbh, I think I couldn't believe that I was upduffed. It feels much more real now that I can feel it moving though. Some people feel all the love in pregnancy, some when the baby is born and for some people they have to get to know their babber before they fall in love, just like with any other person I suppose, and that is okay too!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 23/07/2015 11:04

Thanks yorkshire - Maybe it will start feeling more real when I know the sex, can feel it moving, and actually look pregnant.

It's 16 weeks at the appointment tomorrow, so it's not an official scan. My gynaecologist has scan equipment in her office, so said she will do a check at each monthly appointment. I'm hoping she can tell me whether the haematoma has gone as well.

SecondCupOfTea · 23/07/2015 11:23

I've just booked an early scan for a week from now. No doubt the anxiety will start to creep up between now and then Hmm

honeysucklejasmine · 23/07/2015 11:30

Tea I was a big blubbering mess before my early scan, but now I am happy. The relief is immense. Remember, the scan doesn't change the outcome, just let's you know what the outcome will be.

honeysucklejasmine · 23/07/2015 11:31

Where's wouldratherhavewine?

oneyorkshirepud · 23/07/2015 11:34

Just looking at nct classes ladies - £180 plus nct membership. (If I pay membership by direct debit I can cancel after a couple of months do should only be about £10). Those of you who have done nct... worth it? I am hoping to BF and one of the classes will be on this.

Indigoblue2 · 23/07/2015 11:44

I'm full term today at 37 weeks! Baby feels like she's lower - I'm looking forward to my MW app next week and she can tell me if she's engaged a bit. Things are getting a bit crampy and stabby low down now and I can't tolerate any amount of piss in my bladder whatsoever or it aches to buggery. No doubt I'll go to 42 weeks and beyond!

ThursdayLast · 23/07/2015 11:58

I didn't do NCT and don't feel like I missed out at all. There are NHS antenatal workshops too.

oneyorkshirepud · 23/07/2015 12:03

Yes there are 2x 2 hour NHS classes, but if they are going to cover birth, feeding, how to change a nappy etc (I know nothing about babies!) then that is not a very long time!

Indigoblue2 · 23/07/2015 12:08

Most of the viroids who did NCT on here seemed to really enjoy it. My antenatal classes were appalling!

oneyorkshirepud · 23/07/2015 12:10

Why was that Indigo? Congrats on being fully cooked!

DulcetMoans · 23/07/2015 12:11

Oh wow indigo, that time goes quick! Tick tock for your baby too.

We did NHS and NCT classes pud. NHS were fine and have a good overview but found the classes didn't mingle or ask questions so learning was limited. NCT was much smaller group with effort out in to creating some kind of bound. As the babies are arriving that is coming into its own - another girl in my group just had an EMCS so we have been helping each other through that. NCT does cover all stages of labour and birth but found both NHS and NCT didn't give loads of info about caring for baby - which I wish I had more of now. No idea what im doing!

Purpleball · 23/07/2015 12:13

I didn't do NCT - I think I have enough info between you all, the hospital class, babynatal parenting class and mummynatal class Smile

I don't know whether to bother joining NCT or not. I'll go to BF groups and baby groups etc. there's quite a lot of different ones around here. I've already made some enquiries and joined a FB group for one of them.

Purpleball · 23/07/2015 12:15

Babynatal was a 3 hour session on how to care for baby, it including bathing, dressing, changing nappies, how to hold baby and pass to other people. Also things like cues so how to tell if baby is hungry, tired, over stimulated etc. it was £45 per couple and worth it

oneyorkshirepud · 23/07/2015 12:20

Baby natal sounds really useful. One of our good friends has a 4 month old, we might have to go around for some lessons perhaps!

Indigoblue2 · 23/07/2015 12:20

oneyorkshirepud · 23/07/2015 12:21

Also planning to stay in the MLU for 2-3 days of postnatal care so hopefully that will help with feeding, dressing etc.

Indigoblue2 · 23/07/2015 12:22

Dunno why that posted twice!

My midwife ran them and was terrible, I've since changed midwife!
