Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

Great news Thursday, that must really feel like a weight has been lifted.

How are we all getting on in the hunt for decent maternity wear? I've just ordered some jeans & a coat from jojomamanbebe. It's free delivery (2nd class post) and if you use MM21 it's 10% off until 5 Oct. Jeans are £29 (£27 with discount) which I didn't think was too bad. And non-frumpy looking which is a bonus!

Has anyone had their 20 wk scan? Have mine on 28/10. I'm hoping my anxiety will subside after this one, it's ridiculous. I don't remember feeling like this with ds.

Qwertybynature · 30/09/2015 13:10

Sunny I still haven't 'fessed up; I keep being told I look 'really well' and being eyed suspiciously. My face balloons within a week of being pregnant so I know everyone has known for ages but it's fun leaving them to wonder for now.

hufflebottom · 30/09/2015 13:30

Monday is my 20 week.

ThursdayLastWeek · 30/09/2015 13:46

Thank you huffle and qwerty that's exactly what it is, a weight off!
Had a MW appt too today and heard the heartbeat which was lovely.

I'm still purchasing my maternity clothes clothes on eBay!

SunnyL · 30/09/2015 17:50

I got some work trousers from New Look which are surprisingly good. Otherwise I'm still wearing my last lot of clothes. I do need some warmer things but wasn't impressed with the few things I've felt in shops.

Gap seems to have a sale at the moment though which is tempting

Crispylicious · 30/09/2015 20:31

I was just going to mention the gap sale... I bought a stretchy short skirt, which I thought I could wear PP too. Also ordered some jeans and tshirt from topshop. Must.not.buy.anymore.clothes.

Great news Thursday - I'm so glad you're getting the birth you wanted.

I can't believe were getting into 20-week scans already - good luck for a nice clear scan huffle. I've got my 16 week MW app Monday too, so everything crossed I get to hear a heartbeat.

hufflebottom · 01/10/2015 09:35

Monday Seems like a busy day. LastOne got everything crossed. Hope baby stays still for it. MW only got 10 seconds of heartbeat before baby got bored and moved.

Brindler · 01/10/2015 20:34

Hi everyone! I've not posted in so long this thread disappeared from my 'I'm on' feed so had to hunt for it again!!

Glad everyone is well. Had my 16 wk check today and heard the heartbeat although apparently my iron is getting low already! Think I'm starting to feel some movements now too.

I'm trying to avoid the mat wear for as long as poss but think I've only got a week or so left before I just have to give in and buy some! I'm now down to just 2 pairs of trousers I can fit into! Was hoping to pick up some cheap second hand clothes on eBay but mat clothes appear to be snapped up on there - worth noting for post-pregnancy funds!

bex198443 · 01/10/2015 23:36

Hello!!! Gosh it's been ages since I posted does anyone remember me? Haha! Had 20 week scan middle of Sept and I'm having a boy! Soooo happy! Ds wanted a boy dd wanted a girl but she's took it suprisingly well!!!! Everything else was fine! When I was preg with my dd they showed me baby and told me sex and turned screen off but this time they showed everything! Was completely amazing! Am 22 weeks today eek so over halfway! Getting lots of movements (some strange!) Literally feel like a leg or arm is gonna pop out down below! Anyone else had that? Clothing wise I'm still sticking with my trusted leggings! But I do love new looks maternity range! Gonna go treat myself next month now my business has took off quite well! Anyone started on the pushchair hunt? Hope ur all ok xxxx

LastOneDancing · 02/10/2015 15:58

Brindler how the heck are you avoiding maternity wear?!! I'm so jealous, I'm the size of a house! Someone asked me how my 20 week scan had gone this week. I was all Hmm 'I'm 16 weeks, yeah?'.

Congrats on your boy Bex - got any names brewing? I'm so looking forward to proper movements, I think I've had a few ghosty flutters and pops but still no definite kicks.

Out on the town for my birthday tonight - Im having it large and staying out until at least 10.30.
I rarely miss booze but I'd so love to have a few cocktails to celebrate being ridiculously old! Ah well, it is well worth it.

Qwertybynature · 02/10/2015 16:06

Happy birthday LOD I'm sure you'll surprise yourself and still be out at 10.45 Grin

SunnyL · 02/10/2015 17:53

Ooh I'm out tomorrow for a wedding reception. Had a panicked trying on session of dresses and managed to find 3 that still fit. Might not by tomorrow mind Wink

Discovered that a good friend is 11 weeks pregnant today so we'll be bump buddies. Problem is she's gorgeous so i won't want to stand next to her

LastOneDancing · 03/10/2015 22:12

querty I was completely hardcore and got the 11.05 train home. I wasn't in bed til at least 11.30!

Enjoy the wedding Sunny.
Yah boo, in my old NCT group they are all gorgeous. And then there's me. My child was also the hyper crazy baby. They're probably ashamed to be seen with us Grin

Qwertybynature · 04/10/2015 07:25

Excellent effort LOD, hope you had a good night. I've been safely tucked up by 9.30 this weekend!

Hope you had a good night too Sunny.

SunnyL · 04/10/2015 10:14

Ooh I beat you LOD - wasn't in bed til midnight. I almost turned into a pumpkin! In fact I came home because i was bored by my young colleague who was crying over the fact that another colleague had his new girlfriend there and looked v happy.

Feel too old, fat and pregnant to deal with boy dramas Wink

CarrotPuff · 04/10/2015 13:51

So I managed to find a dress that I could fit into and that was hiding my bump for the interview. And I got the job! So relieved. Starting the week after next one, which is exactly one week too late to claim MA Confused I wonder if I should still send the form in case they still say yes (highly unlikely, I know...)

Any other sales apart from New Look? I need to buy some work wear, as I only got 2 pairs of mat jeans from DS!

RooibosTeaAgain · 04/10/2015 15:12

Carrot I would definitely try sending form off and well done on the job.
I know for SMP it is the average earns from week 17-25 or if paid monthly those two months. I lose out on this as whilst will work those weeks the months it is sorted out on I am not on full pay so my amount will be reduced, sigh!

hufflebottom · 05/10/2015 13:19

Oh my lord ladies. Tell me something I can do while waiting for my scan. But frustrated as they gave me a letter with my appointment time and place on but booked me in at a different site. SadAngrytook me an hour and half to get here and then the receptionist tried to tell me it was my fault regardless of the fact I followed my letter.
So been sitting here for 2 1/2 hours starting to lose my patience. Help!!!!

SunnyL · 05/10/2015 14:58

Have you been seen yet Huffle?

hufflebottom · 05/10/2015 15:13

Finally have been. Now waiting for report. Had bloods taken for cystic fibrosis. Been told most likely to be a girl (I have no ideas for girls names)
Felt like I've been treated like a piece of meat today.
Am thinking go home get daughter from her friends house and go and get take away. Have a total pig out girlie night.

RooibosTeaAgain · 05/10/2015 16:15

What a frustrating day Huffle. Glad scan all ok.

Does anyone know if being exposed to chicken pox is an issue? Child at nursery has it and ds been exposed and not sure if I am immune. Is it only a risk if I catch it or a risk to the unborn baby if his sibling has it or just exposed?

hufflebottom · 05/10/2015 16:34

Have you had it? If so you're fine.

RooibosTeaAgain · 05/10/2015 18:16

I am not sure no I have just had 3 months of steroids so am more immunosuppressed than usual. Rang hospital and have to go there if I catch it, not sure what they can do though.

hufflebottom · 05/10/2015 18:40

Fingers crossed you have missed it
