Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

OP posts:

Tiredoftiredness · 31/08/2015 19:05

Ha, we're at that stage with DS brindler! 16 weeks now and literally every morning since we told him at about 13 weeks DS has woken me up with "is the baby ready to come out yet?" Followed throughout the. Day with "how big is the baby now?"

It does get a little wearing! Lovely how excited he is though.

Tiredoftiredness · 31/08/2015 19:09

Sorry qwerty, issued your post when I posted as the first on my 2nd page-welcome!

Sorry about your mmc Flowers hope the worry lifts after your scan next week.

I'm definitely finding it much harder work 2nd time round, all I want to do is lie in bed feeling sorry for myself all days, although there's zero chance of that happening!

Tiredoftiredness · 31/08/2015 19:10

Doh-missed your post that should read. You get the idea!

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 31/08/2015 21:00

Thanks for the nice scan comments! I'm a little worried it's set for a big nose like me - poor soul! We've told everyone now so I can moan freely to whoever! Like others I've actually been sick more since 12 weeks - I'm getting really grumpy with feeling so rubbish!

So lovely to hear about your older toddlers and how excited they are getting - how about getting a big calendar and circling the due date so they can cross each day off with a big fat pen! So when they ask you can send them to the calendar! My DD is only 13 months so she has a life like dolly and we keep getting her to cuddle and kiss my tummy saying 'ahhhh charlottes baby!'

Qwertybynature · 31/08/2015 22:12

Thank you Tired I got what you meant Smile

So nice to hear about your dc's getting excited. Fingers crossed my ds is the same. He shown a massive interest in my friends new baby so hoping he'll be just as excited when he realises this one is staying!

SunnyL · 31/08/2015 22:17

I asked DD tonight if she wanted a baby brother or baby sister. She said she'd prefer a baby sister but really would rather we don't bother having a baby at all. Dolly is sufficient apparently.

LCR77 · 01/09/2015 12:38

Hi all

20 week scan is 16th October. We started talking to DD (23 mths) quite early about whether she'd like mummy and daddy to have a baby as a friend for her. She usually say 'Yep'. Varies as to whether brother or sister preferred. We ask her where the baby is and she points to my tummy and sometimes gives it a wave and says hello. Also sometimes lifts her top up and points to her own tummy, pretty cute.

Feeling pretty rubbish today. Had a few days of DD waking up early about 6 (I'm not a morning person...) and she's been ill a couple of days, Starting to feel a bit dodgy - hope I haven't got what she's had. Off to London early doors on the train tomorrow.

CarrotPuff · 01/09/2015 13:22

Congrats on scan Smirking, lovely picture!

Welcome Querty, sorry about your loss Flowers

DS is only 21mo so not sure he would understand yet. I think we'll wait till I have a bump.

Tiredoftiredness · 01/09/2015 19:23

That's a brilliant idea with the calendar smirking I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for one!

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/09/2015 19:28

Hello qwerty - our scan dates are the same Smile, seems like a blummin' age away!

I just bid on an icandy on eBay think it ended in 5 days. It was 5 hours. So I might have really jumped the gun and bought a new pushchair by the end of today Blush.

Hey ho 12 weeks today and DS celebrated by figuring out how to get of his cot even in his sleeping bag.
Nap times are gone forever

Qwertybynature · 01/09/2015 21:19

Dreading when our nap time goes, I'd offer you a Wine but under the circumstances perhaps Cake will suffice!

RooibosTeaAgain · 01/09/2015 22:06

Hello qwerty - sorry to hear of your loss. My EDD is the same as yours ( until 12 week scan changes it anyway!) and agree a long wait til they scan. We had a late loss last pregnancy and I am so nervous about this scan and outcome.

Ds stopped napping ( unless in the car) and seems to like early mornings recently also.

Thur that sounds exciting.

GothicRainbow · 01/09/2015 22:27

Hey everyone, glad I found this thread - the march bus is hectic!! I'm 10+3 with a 2.4 DS. My EDD is 27th March so just squeezing in on the thread.
I have had my booking in, have a lovely midwife who has said I am a good candidate for VBAC but will see a consultant at 36 weeks to decide if I want an ELCS or VBAC so have plenty of time to decide.

My scan is booked for 15th sept so will be 12+3 then.

We haven't told my DS anything as I don't think he would get it, although he loves his baby dolly! We've told all our immediate family though which is handy as we're holidaying suffering with the inlaws next week

Qwertybynature · 01/09/2015 22:47

Hello Rooibus sorry for your loss too Flowers, here's hoping for a healthy and happy pregnancy for us all.

The March thread is crazy Gothic, I couldn't keep up!

I haven't told ds anything yet either, think I'll wait til after the 20wk scan or a bit later just to make sure.

GothicRainbow · 01/09/2015 23:07

My plan is to wait until I have a big bump (all being well) and then explain it, hopefully he'll understand!

Haven't had tons of symptoms other than being crushingly tired and crazy bloated - look more like 6 months pregnant!! Having to dress very tactically at the moment to cover the bloat.

Totally craving carbs too, had the biggest plate of pasta for my tea tonight, just hoping the heartburn doesn't hit later

LastOneDancing · 01/09/2015 23:10

Hi querty
I will update my obsessive scan list soon!

Good luck for tomorrow Brindler

I'm starring to get very nervous about next Monday. Also I suspect the dress I was going to wear for a wedding this weekend is going to be waaay too tight around the middle. Anyone else ridiculously bloated already?!

LastOneDancing · 01/09/2015 23:12

X post rainbow!

So glad you're a premature fatty too Wink

Qwertybynature · 01/09/2015 23:19

Thanks LOD

I'm feeling huge already, not really helped by the fact I could not stop eating today. Already feeling the burn creeping up Sad

On the plus side my boobs are bigger earlier this time (I'm usually as flat as a pancake) Grin

GothicRainbow · 01/09/2015 23:21

Haha LOD, Yep I'm definitely in the fatty club!

My jeans are now getting too uncomfy so I imagine I'll be in leggings until my maternity stuff fits. Luckily I'm a SAHM so I don't have the stress of work wear too!

So pleased I don't have any big dressy events coming up. Do you have any alternatives??

SunnyL · 02/09/2015 07:43

Gothic are you me? You're practically identical to me. DD is 2.3 and I hacertainly a EDD of 27th March and my scan is on the 16th - it was meant to be on the 15th though but I'm away with work. Spooky!

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/09/2015 08:03

Oh my gosh, I've been in maternity trousers for weeks already! At first it was bloat, but it's turning into bump pretty swiftly.

I got married in April, so Ive gone from best-shape-of-my-life to wow-second-bumps-really-do-pop-out-quicker in a matter if months Grin

I was 12 weeks yesterday yahoo! All close friends and family know now but will do a the scan pic in FB thing next week for everyone else. I also won that pushchair last night

Hi Gothic!

Crispylicious · 02/09/2015 08:39

Hello, can I join too please! EDD is 22 March, 12 week scan on 8 Sept and DD is 20 months! I pop into the March thread time to time, but don't want to bore them all with my ramblings about dealing with the toddler.

My bump seems stupidly big for 11 weeks too. I'm hanging on until the 12 week scan and will then order some maternity jeans (I wore my last ones to death!).

I think we'll try to tell DD after the scan, as I'd like her to 'know' once others know. I don't think she'll get it, but might be able to persuade her to be more careful with my tummy unlike this morning when she bounced on it

Is anyone else still breast feeding?!

LCR77 · 02/09/2015 11:38

Feeling rubbish yesterday progressed to horrendous yesterday so left work early. Hardly ate anything last night, decided to cancel my London trip today. DD also woke at 5.30 this morning which didn't help although DP got up with her. Slept loads this morning after they went and feel loads better.

Also a fellow fatty 14 weeks this week and look huge. It was getting way too obvious so glad I've been able to tell people now. Maternity wear will be coming out of the loft this week I think!

GothicRainbow · 02/09/2015 12:46

Haha Sunny, may well be!! I've got 3 other friends who are all currently pregnant with Feb/March due dates must have been something in the water around June/July!!

I'm didn't breastfeed my DS Crispy but he does still have a morning and bedtime bottle. We're going to wean him off the morning one but planning on keeping the evening one - although I have no clue how I will handle DS' bedtime and a newborn, badly I'm sure!!

Hey Thurs, well done on winning the pushchair, hope you got a bargain. I'm so tempted to try on some of my maternity stuff, my normal jeans are pretty low slung so my bloated belly seems to hang over the top but I'm wondering if my overbump maternity jeans might be more comfy.

I'm definitely packing some of my maternity tops and dresses for my holiday next week. I've got to summon up the courage to try on my swimming costume but haven't been able to quite face it.

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish LCR is it morning sickness?? Good idea to cancel your London trip hope you're not missing out on anything too fun.

marmitemofo · 02/09/2015 13:41

Hi all, can I join? 13+1, due on March 8th with baby #2. DD is currently 22 months old

crispy my DD also jumps on me despite knowing I've 'got a baby in my tummy' as we tell her (repeatedly!). This morning when she did it and I asked her not to as didn't want her to hurt baby she said 'sorry baby' and kissed my tummy. bless her, it's cute but I'm really going to have to stop her from doing it somehow....
