Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

Grin Sunny I'm glad I'm not the only one with the inappropriate sex dreams! I had them constantly in my last pregnancy. Worst one was that I had a veeery, errm, 'vigorous' session with my driving instructor. Super inappropriate as he's about 30 years older than me and his wife had just died Blush Blush Blush. I couldn't look him in the eye for weeks after that Blush. Just try not to think about the dream when you see the 24 yr old next!

OH MY GOD LOOK AT THOSE CHIPS

ThursdayLast · 08/08/2015 15:18

Nice weekend everyone?

Raeside · 08/08/2015 18:18

Feeling guilty for abandoning husband and son at his parents' place but they're having their giant annual summer garden party tomorrow and I cannot face it. At home now with the dog (who is very obviously enjoying a break from her 2.5yr old 'best mate') watching TV and pondering which carby takeaway to order.

So, like, heaps guilty but also heaps happy. Seedy and grody obviously....

That sounds marvellous Rae!

SunnyL · 08/08/2015 19:14

Went into Edinburgh with DD to explore the first weekend of the festival. Twas fun but v tiring as small child demanded to sit on shoulders in all the big crowds. Edinburgh is one big crowd in festival time Wink .

Was also v disappointed by a lunch in the Slug and Lettuce. I ordered a flatbread sandwich thingy because i thought it would be more carbs than a wrap. Dear pregnant ladies never make that mistake. Twas thinner than loo roll and barely took the edge off my morning sickness.

hufflebottom · 09/08/2015 12:43

I'm working. On a meat and fish counter, (that will probably put me but I don't care).

It's going too well.....feel so pants. But looking towards scan tomorrow.

SunnyL · 09/08/2015 13:14

Oh my word - well done huffle. I couldn't face working with food at the moment. You must have a cast iron stomach

hufflebottom · 09/08/2015 20:44

Wasn't too bad. Worst bit was the constant leaning over the counter. Don't think I'll cope much longer doing that.

Currently lying in bed, feeling every ache listening to a Disney cd that dd has decided to put on for me telling me it will make me feel better

Aimborose3 · 10/08/2015 13:33

Hi I'm due my 2nd on the 9th Jan I have a little boy who is nearly 4 :) and very cheeky ???? feel like the pregnancy goes faster 2nd time. Are any of you finding out the sex x

Tiredoftiredness · 10/08/2015 18:19

Welcome aimbrose!

Definitely agree the pg is going quicker 2nd time round, I'm sure the first trimester lasted years with DS!

dh won't let me find out the sex - I'd quite Like to just for practicality, but can't say I'm especially bothered either way

Trinpy · 10/08/2015 18:45

Hi aimborose! yes 2nd pregnancy does seem to go a lot quicker - probably because any spare time you used to have to think about pregnancy and babies is taken up with dc1! We're finding out the sex because we're too impatient to wait! Also I want to get all the old baby clothes down from the attic and sorted out before dc2 arrives.

Raeside · 10/08/2015 18:55

Welcome aim !!

Yes we will def find out the sex, no way I wouldn't. Am too nosy!

Had early scan at Fetal Medicine Centre today. Measuring a week smaller than dates so have to go back next Monday for another look. Urgh. He saw gestational sac, yolk sac and a fetal pole so that's all good. Said he saw a 'fluttering' but wasn't strong enough to measure yet. So it's another week in Camp Pragmatism here. This'd better work, I'm feeling well ropey.

Welcome.

I have to disagree about this pregnancy going quicker. It feels like forever until 12 weeks when hopefully this morning sickness will lift. I didn't really get morning sickness last time so this is really wearing with a 2 yo in tow.

We won't be finding out the sex although I am more tempted this time. DH pointed out that its a nice ending to hours and hours of hard work.

RooibosTeaAgain · 10/08/2015 21:00

Hi and welcome Aimborose3. Have you decided to find out gender?

Been reading but not positing. Had spotting/streaks of blood since Sun night and lost pregnancy symptoms in last week.Rang hospital today and they said unlikely to get scan moved earlier than mine is ( Wed) but to go to A and E overnight if red blood or pain/worse pain. Otherwise ring tomorrow in hope someone will refer me for a scan a day earlier. Has been a long week getting here. Feel negative about how it is going since scan at 5 weeks showed an empty gestational sac ( yes know it was early but caused great stress). Dh away with work so trying to take it easy with a 3yr old - not the easiest! Think am 7 and 5 weeks.

Rae what would they/you date yourself as? Hope next scan shows progress and growth for you. Could they measure the embryo at that stage?

Raeside · 10/08/2015 21:27

Thanks Rooibus I hope you get seen soon and that everything is ok. Everything crossed for you....

I think I'm 7+3 today and LMP and O dates are pretty sure but hey ho. I think it's another week of waiting without making plans.

OP posts:
Raeside · 10/08/2015 21:28

Oops sorry he said he measured fetal pole at 4mm so 5-6 weeks. Says next week he'd expect it to be more like 10mm. Said he saw fluttering but didn't want to Doppler it as was so delicate. He said 'it all appears viable' but he also said I looked ten years younger than I am so I'm inclined to wonder!

Gosh Rae and Rooibos you're both really going through the wringer aren't you? Hugs to you both.

We won't be finding out the sex, we didn't with DS either - I'm a fan of delayed gratification Grin

RooibosTeaAgain · 10/08/2015 22:08

Sounds a good size to me. My dc1, now aged 3, was 2.8mm at 6+2 by my dates and limp and 12 week scan but sonographers said was too small for 6 weeks but recorded it as 5weeks. Had a he but not commented over than present. My second pregnancy I had a 3.5mm at 5+3 ( sadly baby was poorly but started bigger).

My scan at about 5 weeks showed an empty gestational sac ( did not ask for the scan!) so have been worried ever since. Thanks Rae and Thur

RooibosTeaAgain · 10/08/2015 22:17

Hb not he

rdr15 · 11/08/2015 21:05

Been a bit quiet on here recently but I've had my scan today and baby looking healthy and well. Feel very relieved as have been more nervous this time round. Due date now 21st Feb so 12+2. Hope everyone else is well

hufflebottom · 11/08/2015 21:15

2 days after my due date!

Had my scan yesterday, they had to do an internal as fidget wouldn't keep still.

Raeside · 12/08/2015 08:42

Nice work on the scabs rdr and huffle !!

I've been struck down with tonsillitis. Pretty grim. Swab taken by GP but no results or hope of meds till Friday at best. Oh how I suffer....I couldn't face taking my multivitamins today. Too sore.

Trinpy · 12/08/2015 08:43
