Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

6 weeks today and I'm freaking shattered. Feel tired to the bone. Kind of glad though cos my lack of symptoms did make me a teensy bit worried. Why do these first few weeks of pregnancy feel like an age?

Welcome all newbies.

Sleepingbunnies · 01/08/2015 19:14

Can I join?! Due my third on 21/02/16. Ridiculously excited!!! Grin

Indomitable · 01/08/2015 21:31

High 5 Sunny, I'm 6+1 and can't function till about 3pm!

Weirdly, I'm fine in the evenings at the moment (well, better than the rest of the day). But so, so tired in the morning.

Hi Sleeping!

SaltySeaBird · 01/08/2015 21:44

Can I join?

I have a 2.11 year old and I'm due very early April but will be induced at 38 weeks so all continuing well, this baby will be born the end of March.

Hi sleeping & salty

I'm still feeling ropey as hell all the live long day Sad

lutrinae · 02/08/2015 08:42

Welcome sleeping, salty and anyone else new I've missed. And thanks for welcoming me!

Sympathies to everyone feeling rough. I'm 15+1 and have finally started to feel better, which is an improvement on pregnancy last time when I turned into vomit-tron for like, two trimesters

I really fricking hate pregnancy actually, remind me why I'm doing this again?! Wink

ThursdayLast · 02/08/2015 09:17

I think I gloriously mis-remembered the first trimester lutrinae it's rotten.

Boobs starting to expand rather uncomfortably now too, not fun when DS rolls around on top of me in bed with his pointy little elbows.

Sleepingbunnies · 02/08/2015 09:45

Nausea is starting to pass for me which can only be a good thing... I am voting team blue for this one, pregnancy so different from both DDs!

lutrinae · 02/08/2015 10:49

oh God, the elbows Thursday! Why are they so sharp? DO they actually sharpen them?
In thew belly and the boobs. Oof.

RooibosTeaAgain · 02/08/2015 13:04

Welcome to new people.

I am voting team blue again due to lack of nausea and constant desire to eat!

SunnyL · 02/08/2015 13:52

Hmmm good point. This could be team blue because its not the same as last time but how different should it feel to be totally different?

Team pink would make life easier as i have all the clothes (almost none of which are pink tho Wink )

Raeside · 02/08/2015 14:19

I want team blue but I'm sure I wasn't this bloody tired at only 6+2 last time. I'm about to go for my third lie down today. God knows how I'll manage at work this week as working a 1.5hr drive away & spending all day in front of a PC. A bit of sneaky loo-cubicle napping might be called for....

I get little waves of nausea but as long as I eat it's not too bad. Yet. Like lutrinae I fear I have forgotten the worst of the first trimester and have increasing feelings of impending doom. Just went about night two crop top soft bra things to sleep I as boobs bloody magnificently sore.

I could really do with a drink.

Whoop I actually did a run!

And tonight I'm having dinner with actual vegetables in it Grin

ok yes I did have a macdonalds breakfast but we'll gloss over that

RooibosTeaAgain · 02/08/2015 19:48

Really worried now - bright red spotting. Not sure what to do. We'll know nothing can help so no point contacting medical people on a Sunday. Got a scan in 10 days - is it worth contacting someone (who? As not allowed direct access to EPU or to just turn up) on Monday or just wait and see if naturally miscarry? Not positive - never had this much bright red blood before and am only 6+2.

hufflebottom · 02/08/2015 20:26

Rooibos, go get checked out I did on a sat morning and Epau got hold of me on the Monday. And I had a scan then. Holding ya hand. Thanks

Raeside · 02/08/2015 20:36

Definitely go be checked either way Roo - everything crossed for you.

ThursdayLast · 02/08/2015 20:41

Oh Rooibos ring somebody in the morning - get seen ASAP
Whatever the outcome there's no point in torturing yourself wondering

SunnyL · 02/08/2015 21:59

I called maternity triage when I was pregnant last time and they were lovely to me. Truly lovely and didn't make me feel like I was wasting their time at all. I'd call now if you are worried.

RooibosTeaAgain · 02/08/2015 22:23

Thanks. Just looked up EPU - open 9-4.30 and have to be referred by midwife or GP. Not had booking in apt yet so cannot do anything until Mon and either somehow get hold of a GP - which means going to see them or wait for a triage phone all or phoning Fetal medicine at hospital and seeing if a midwife there would refer me. Or if anywhere private has a slot. But then if it is bad news not sure what they can do. Keep talking myself out of it. Just hope no more blood. I bled in both pregnancies a little due to thrush but not as much as this!

bex198443 · 03/08/2015 01:19

Hope everything's ok roo keeping everything crossed for u xxx

LastOneDancing · 03/08/2015 11:23

Checking in to see how you're getting on Rooibos

I hope you've managed to see someone today Thanks

RooibosTeaAgain · 03/08/2015 17:39

Hi spotting stopped in the night and not been able to see anyone. So for now am going to just try to get to my scan on 12/8. As know that if had bad scan this week they would say come back in a week. Not positive about pregnancy after loss of 2nd though.

Thanks for asking. You all ok now Huffle?
I have to go via a GP to get apt which is the issue - actually getting a GP apt!!

LastOneDancing · 03/08/2015 20:16

Everything crossed for you Rooibos

Those who have had their booking appointment - do we still get pregnancy notes?!
Last time I had green notes to cart about with me everywhere. This time they haven't given me anything to take away.

hufflebottom · 03/08/2015 20:31

I'm ok at the moment. Still taking things slowly.

I was looking forward to the green notes but I've got this really posh looking book thing. It seems a bit more robust than the green book. Grin
