So glad I'm not the only one MrsC lol!

DH is excited, I can't even say that at the mo!

I know my lower abdomen is getting harder so it can't all be all fat, but no proper bump at 14+1 (1st timer). I'm looking forward to having a proper bump rather than just looking fat. It the growing middle feels really obvious to me, but the dh reckons I'm just sticking my belly out. Thanks dear!

Good luck on your scans ladies. I was not nervous, rather than excited for mine, and it didn't disappoint. I hope for your sakes the beans co-operate a bit more than mine did though! Got my letter for my 20 week scan but no news on my nt results and it's been over a week. I'm hoping if it were bad news they'd hurry up and tell me. 2.1mm at 13 weeks is okay, isn't it? Feeling impatient!

Good luck to you all anxiously waiting for scans today. Enjoy seeing your little beans. Looking forward to some new scan pics today.

No worries crumble I was just wondering if it was normal to hear absolutely nothing from st. Michael's. But I got impatient with them and went elsewhere in the end!

Hi all. Decided to take the plunge and stop lurking! Reading these threads have made me feel so much better and not alone! Bit of a surprise to find out I was preggers just before my 40th! But over the shock now and due end of Jan 2016. (Waves)))

SleepyDragon · 10/07/2015 10:01

Edgar I'm sure they say that NT's of less than 3.5mm are normal when your baby measures between 45mm and 84mm so I think yours should be fine.

Welcome Doc!!

Lovely to see all these bump pics! But anyone else want top join me in the "just a bit chubby" camp? I'm 14w tomorrow 3rd baby and these are my regular size 10 jeggings. All I have is a bit of a muffin top all the way round lol. Can't wait for a proper bump, I had one by now with my other pregnancies.

Morning all!

Good luck to all having scans today. I know how nervous you ladies must be but we're all here for support and cheering you on. Smile

Fab bump shots, I'm glad that others have the same shape as me going on in the evenings! Agree that it feels like alot of it is still bloating at this point but I've read that as bloating goes down a bit, the bump rises out of the pelvis at roughly the same time and then grows from there so I don't expect to be getting any smaller. No idea if this is true...

I walk about with my jeans undone with my bump bloat spilling out most evenings and generally burping quite alot, it's all very glam round ours ha ha. Luckily my OH just thinks it's funny as I just tell him it's 'the joey' (nickname for our bean) Grin

I was reading an article last night about the relationship between the location of fetus in the uterus and gender. There were some hard stats in there and it looks to be quite accurate, much more than the skull or nub theory. I will post the link to it if anyone wants to read it? I'd advise Team Yellow not to bother though as don't wanna ruin anyone's surprise.

mrschatty · 10/07/2015 10:08

teenie I'm yellow but secretly want to test all the theories go see if they all point the same way!

Hello doc welcome

mrschatty I'll just have to put a wee warning before I post the link as the stats and accuracy in this particular study are high and I would just hate to ruin anyone's surprise! I'm now torn as I thought I might be having a girl but according to fetus position I am defo in team blue... will be interesting to find out Grin

Welcome doc!

Yep, like you brickie, 14 weeks tomorrow and rather than a defined bump, I think I just look chubbier and put some decent wait on round the middle. Joining the looking "chubby" team.

Oh yes teenie, stick the link up. I'm curious

Lovely bumps ladies - I'll have to post one later when I'm at home.

Great harmony results nicnic and yay for another boy! Is anyone else waiting for harmony results and is not team yellow? The 20 week scan seems too long to wait for new team news Smile

And great news on scans for those who had them yesterday - good luck for those with scans today.

And welcome to doc

teenie definitely post that link - even though we know Bean is a girl I'm still interested in checking out the different theories. Nub theory seems to point to our girl being a girl - not checked out skull theory much but would be interested as got to pass the time before starting to shop

Potential Gender Spoiler - Do not read if you do not want to know!

The whole article is interesting but the 'RESULTS' section is where you can find the stats and percentages of this study.

teenie now I just need to remember to ask which side the placenta is! They didn't even tell me if it was at the front, back top or bottom (I'm assuming they would have said if it was anterior or too far down)

Ahhhh Phiz lovely news and photo!! Grin

I am cursing them for giving me an afternoon appointment. I get really anxious about stuff like this and I bet they won't be running to time by that point either meaning I'll be bursting for a wee! Lol!

Report
kep1979 · 10/07/2015 11:44

Thick question.... how can you tell where your placenta is from the scan pic?

Report
TeenieDeenie · 10/07/2015 11:54

Kep I've just a read a bit more about this apparently the placenta can move, so now not at all sure how accurate it is... I was simply going by whether baby was on the right or left hand side of my uterus which I can tell clearly from my early scan pic.
