Tonicandgin · 16/07/2015 20:11

Kep-I once saw a woman trying to wrestle the SC vintage Balmoral into her boot.. It seemed to be taking an age, plus it was HUUUUGE

Lookingforadvice123 · 16/07/2015 20:13

I'm 90% sure I've felt some movements! It's not been like flutters for me at all, more like a twitch or little pop, only happens once at a time but as it's happened more I'm pretty sure it's not a muscle twitch and it must be movement! Only feel it when I'm sitting or lying still, but also felt it today when I was standing still in yoga. It started last weekend or just before, when in was 15 weeks.

tinyme135 · 16/07/2015 20:24

I'm 14+4 and no movement yet so jelly I want a flutter so bad :( (going to sulk in the corner now)

Brooke113 · 16/07/2015 20:51

Last pregnancy with DS he was kicking properly at 17w, I've looked back in my little notepad I kept, nice idea I thought, to have something to look back on. Dh could feel his kicks at 17w too :) think it depends on your stomach muscles, I'm not skinny, if that helps!

Carno13 · 16/07/2015 20:57

Had my scan today! All well ?? Nub/skull theorists, what do you think?

tinyme135 · 16/07/2015 20:57

I'm tiny, why won't my little one kick lol

tinyme135 · 16/07/2015 20:58

I'm no good with them theories but cute pic :)

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 16/07/2015 21:05

Carno I'm going with a girl guess for your little bean. Are you team yellow, or finding out at 20 weeks?

I really want to feel some kicking. I know it's the thing DH is most looking forward to!

MissMartin10 · 16/07/2015 21:16

Cute picture Carno Grin .. im not very good at this but i guess a boy! X

Carno13 · 16/07/2015 21:26

Going to book a private gender scan for 16weeks ??

tinyme135 · 16/07/2015 21:31

carno I'm so tempted to have a private scan. Need to persuade OH to say yes haha. Can you find out the sex then?

melonface · 16/07/2015 21:35

I've booked one for 16+3 and they can tell the gender then. Excited and pleased to have something to break up the wait for the 20 week scan

Carno13 · 16/07/2015 21:36

Yes they can! Had one with my daughter, was much a lovely experience x

crumble74 · 16/07/2015 21:54

sleepy and brooke That's how I always used to describe the first flutters I felt with DS - but in my case like a little fish swimming in a plastic bag or - like looking described, a tiny muscle twitch. They started at week 18 last time but I've felt them again tonight when I was leaning over whilst having dinner at the restaurant table. I still do a double take because it's still quite light. It's awesome that you're feeling proper kicks already brickie

Lookingforadvice123 · 16/07/2015 22:01

crumble that's a good description, almost like a goldfish swimming in a bag and knocking into the sides - when it knocks that's like the twitches/pops I feel! Almost like a little swift kick, or like the baby's knocking from the inside. Lush!

MissMartin10 · 16/07/2015 22:05

ive booked for for 11th Aug when im 16+1 sooooo excited! really cheap too! just incase anyone is in the bolton /manchester area..its only £50 Grin
mrschatty ur in manc arn't you..are you team yellow? x

Oysterbabe · 16/07/2015 22:07

Carno I think girl. Nice pic Smile

Boosiehs · 16/07/2015 22:52

Had 12 wk scan today. Seemed ok. Nt of 2.5 so normal range. Waiting for bloods. No immediate signs of abnormalities. I guess I have to wait! Puffling was flipping around on the scan. Super cute.

Saw the consultant and she booked me in for ELCS. 20 jan!

Seems crazy really.

Brickie, my fingers are crossed for you. Xx

mrsfazruns · 16/07/2015 23:09

I was in the not finding out sex club untill last few days now desperate!! Think the waiting between appointments/scans sends my mind into overdrive so now thinking I'll give into DH and go for a scan to find out .... He gets his way and I get to see the gummy bear all happy and bouncing about!

coffeenut · 16/07/2015 23:53

My vote is girl too carno.

Can't believe sections are already being booked! Eep.

brickie I hope the scan goes well for you today and that everything is looking okay. Sending positive thoughts x

Does anyone else get increasingly nervous the more ppl they tell? I feel almost like I'm jinxing it, which is ridiculous.

missmartin my parents were convinced I would get PND with my first as I'm also the anxious/worrier type. I was definitely up and down during pregnancy but as soon as the baby was born, it felt like a weight was lifted! Was so happy, PND sounds terribly hard to deal with. Huge sympathy to anyone who's been there.

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 17/07/2015 06:06

Coffee I'm with you on the jinxing feeling. In an ideal world, I'd hide bump and baby and just disappear from work to have him/her. Plus then the annoying/bitchy people at work wouldn't get chance to ask questions about things that aren't their business and generally do my head in more than usual!

Actually, it feels like some of the nice people at work are being less supportive than I thought they'd be, they're all at the parenting finishing line with grown up kids and reckon I should be doing more at work! Pffft! I've never had to deal with these hormones and body changes before and it's quite hard!

SleepyDragon · 17/07/2015 06:22

MaybeMrs tell them to sod off lol! As a friend of mine said, every pregnant woman is different. Whilst they have all been pregnant no one knows how another woman actually feels as no 2 pregnancies are alike and neither are pain thresholds or sickness levels.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 17/07/2015 06:28

MaybeMrs I know what you mean! People with teenagers are so busy telling you how difficult that is, they seem to have forgotten how exhausting pregnancy is, whereas friends who've got little ones are so full of sympathy.

I went to aquanatal last night, so nice to chat to a bunch of fellow pg ladies in rl. This thread is amazing, but there's nothing quite like face to face. Was good to do exercise too after 4 months of sitting on my backside and leaning over the toilet bowl

melonface · 17/07/2015 06:39

Morning ladies. I know I'm probably being silly but need some advice!just found out my goddaughter has scarlet fever, I saw her on Sunday and she was really poorly and im so worried in case I caught it! The NHS website says incubation period can be up to 7 days and that it shouldn't harm a baby unless you're heavily pregnant. I'm really worried though!
