Edgar if you want to phone HMRC you need to phone before 10am, they are open from 8am, so as near as that as possible, you will get straight through. No one phones them in the morning.
If I had an extra £3000 and was working I would have the extra 3 months off with baby, what will you do with baby when you go back to work, will they go to nursery at 6/7 months just a thought.
We have a changing table bending down did our backs in.
Your boobs will get bigger as your milk comes in after 37 weeks, so some time between 37 weeks and 40 weeks I will be getting a new bra, till then I will do.

mrschatty · 14/07/2015 21:00

tinyme have you told your parents the good news yet?

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 22:06

Thanks MrsC, in the end I went over to lovely neighbours opposite who, it turns out, had seen the whole thing from their window. They saw all the intimidating body language and knew DH is away so would have come over to check on me. I had a good cry and a good laugh and I told them my happy pg news and they were wonderful. Shame they don't live next door to us.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 22:07

Oh and cheaper big bras - Debenhams DD+ range, especially in the sales.

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 22:35

mrschatty not yet they're out and as I'm up early for work it might have to wait till another day. Thinking of telling my mum first she can prepare my dad lol

MissMartin10 · 14/07/2015 22:38

this sounds realllllly cheap but.. I've gone from a 32 C to a 34D but i know they will grow alot more as time goes on so i went Primark and i got my most comfortable bra ever. . it was £2! Grin

coffeenut · 15/07/2015 00:46

I hope you're doing okay brickie. Glad you're home now with your family at least.

I bought some cheap big bras from debenhams in my first pregnancy and they were awful. Completely non-supportive and gave me an awful shape. DH told me to throw them out!

I think my boobs go through a growth spurt early on and then a second one later when milk comes in (it was post pregnancy for me that they were biggest). I don't think mine kept growing all the way through my pregnancy.

Congrats on all the latest scans!

My sil has given me her old size 10 mat jeans even though she's now pregnant again. Apparently she's a size six this time around Shock She's been on some low GI diet that her midwife has put her on to avoid having a big baby. I'm very .... dubious.

frozenfairy123 · 15/07/2015 04:34

Oh on the primark theme now is a great time to buy cheap nightdresses that u can unbutton for breastfeeding and good for labour. Labour wards tend to be really hot and u will only find winter nighties in November/dec when your packing your bag x also u might want to bin the one u used in labour x

ValancyJane · 15/07/2015 06:36

Eek scan this morning! Was meant to be having a lie in but woke up early - really bloody nervous! Anyone else got theirs today?

brickiemum2 · 15/07/2015 07:10

I'm still here hanging on. No further red bleeding overnight but lots of cervical pain as all the old blood is forcing its way through. My front also feels bruised inside and I can't stand anything touching it. Dh gone to work this morning but he's coming home at lunchtime so I'm not on my own with the kids all day.

Good luck today valancy
I can recommend bravado seamless nursing bras, sold in John Lewis. They are pricey but kind of moulded so fitted me through pregnancy and nursing (until DS was 1) so actually good value. They are the comfiest thing ever and although don't look like much give a good shape and support. Need to dig mine out as still in too small cheap m&s non wired that are too small at the moment.
How are you doing brickie?

BeeMyBaby · 15/07/2015 07:41

That sound positive brickie although not very pleasant with the pain.

missmartin I looked in primark before but they didn't make a 32D, but I will definitely be visiting them again as my size changes as I really can't afford to spend lots on money on bras that will only get worn for a month or two.

valancy yes I have my scan too, I had nightmares about it all night (actually about DHs timekeeping skills making us miss it) but it has just stressed me out in general.

jmac88 · 15/07/2015 08:09

Good luck with scans today!!!!!

Readyforthefuture · 15/07/2015 08:28

Glad you're ok brickie , sounds like you're really going through it at moment, but hopefully the worst is behind you.

I've called in sick today, MS which had almost gone last week is back with a vengeance, can't keep meals done, constantly thirsty, headaches and so so so exhausted. Where is the glowing? I'm 13w+4, I've done my time of feeling crap surely.

Bra wise, I went with m&s for a proper fitting etc and I'm really pleased, everything fits great for me.

Good luck to everyone with scans!

melonface · 15/07/2015 08:46

brickie Good to hear from you and good to hear baby is hanging on in there!

valancy good luck!

It was so brilliant seeing baby yesterday we're considering a private 4D scan at 16 weeks. Is anyone else having one? Feels a bit extravagant but 20 week scan feels so far away!

Juniper44 · 15/07/2015 08:52

I have my scan this morning too. Pretty scared. I've convinced myself something's going to be wrong, even though there's no reason it would be. Like Bee I'm stressing about DP getting there on time... We're as bad as each other, to be honest, but I'm leaving work with plenty of time so I should be on time! He has DD to organise too and she was still asleep when I left for work. She slept til 9:45 on Monday!

tinyme135 · 15/07/2015 09:01

I told my mum today and she went are you sure that scan picture is yours -.- then she hugged me and went I'm just shocked. Her reaction was completely different to how I expected it. Looks like my mum is a bit disappointed in me or disappoint that it's not in wedlock but I'm engaged to the dad.

MissMartin10 · 15/07/2015 09:03

goodluck with all the scans today Grin x

Melon yeah were doing that Grin to find out the gender!!

my friend recently found out she's was pregnant but she was pretty far gone so she went for her 12w scan at 15weeks and they told her the gender then!

SleepyDragon · 15/07/2015 09:06

LoveULots thanks, i might have to give them a go then!

Good Luck to everyone with scans this morning - verrrry exciting!!

today a random alarm went off on my phone as i got to work, looks like DH has snuck into my 'countdown app' and created a 'new event' as all of a sudden this alert said '5 months till we have a baby' LOL made me feel all soppy ....... and a bit scared too lol!

I had a really bad and strange craving for Bovril last night, so i bought some on my way into work and i'm drinking it now - its chuffing gorgeous!!!

MissMartin10 · 15/07/2015 09:07

aww Tiny im sure she's not disappointed, probably just in shock.
my mums really strict and i was so scared of telling her but she was over the moon.. she did say she would have been disappointed in me if it was 6months earlier though before we bought our house.
but we're not married or engaged or every planning on being any time soon.
Will age now tell your dad? xx

MissMartin10 · 15/07/2015 09:07

she* not age Hmm

mrschatty · 15/07/2015 09:10

Good luck with scans today!!!
Quick question has anyone's boob pain subsided? Mine feel much less tender now Is that normal I'm 13+3...
brickie sounds positive!!!

tinyme135 · 15/07/2015 09:15

MissMartin she told me I got to tell him myself and preferably tonight so it's out the way. She went he'll probably go off on one and rant but it'll be from shock. To which I turned back round and said we'll I'm in a great job with a career, I'm 21 not 12, and it's happening if he likes it or not so what's the point in him getting angry.

kep1979 · 15/07/2015 09:15

Good luck for all of the scans today!

brickie I really hope you are over the worse, fingers crossed for you. Do you have to go back for a check up/scan at all?

I had a very happy son when I told him about the school appeal, so I am still in a amazingly good mood - even though my boss is trying to flush that out of me by being pretty annoying!

Oh well, have day off on Friday so am very much looking forward to a lie in!

SleepyDragon · 15/07/2015 09:36

this is our little bubba by the way from last weeks scan (S)he is 14 weeks old now Grin

very blurry picture - no nub to be seen and i don't understand skull theory LOL
