Just visited my friend who is 36 weeks and she told me the best bit of maternity wear she bought was mamas and papas leggings although were expensive at £22 per pair but she has lived in them!! So decided to get a pair .... They are in the sale for a fiver each!! BARGAIN!

Trying again with the link - it is supposed to be editable. Updated Smile

oneconfusedchick · 14/07/2015 17:29

Any nub theorists out there? I'm due 26th Jan just had my 12 week scan - can't wait to find out!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 17:33

Post your scan pick, confused, we'll have a go!

oneconfusedchick · 14/07/2015 17:35

I'm not quite sure what's nub and what's limbs. If what I think is a nub, is a nub, then I say girl Smile

BTW did you realise you didn't crop your personal details off the photo?

mrsfazruns · 14/07/2015 17:42

Gorgeous photo confused look at that wee hand!!!

oneconfusedchick · 14/07/2015 17:45

Whoops will remove and try to crop! X

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 18:03

Could I pop mu scan pic up and see what you all think it is

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 14/07/2015 18:14

Go for it tiny !

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/07/2015 18:49

Thinking of you brickie hope everything turns out ok.

Sorry I've got no idea how to update the stats sheet myself but my 20 week scan is 17th August! People who are due over a week later than me (im due 2nd Jan) are having theirs around the same time, so annoying! I was late having my 12 week scan at 12+5.

loveulots what fab news! What kind of state of repair is your house in now? I've gone into major nesting mode and I want to make our house perfect so I would probably spend a chunk on the house but it depends if you have any work to do (plus we've already booked a £1200 holiday for September). Def treat yourselves to a hol, I would say around £1-1.5k, then save the rest? You never know when you might need a new boiler/shower/roof repaired (I've been in my house 7 months and have had all 3 can you guess!) and it's nice to know you won't be out of pocket. You can always dip into it for treats then, or if you decide to have some extra mat leave.

Lookingforadvice123 · 14/07/2015 18:50

And whoever told me not to trust M&S I shouldn't have, won't be going there again! The 36 band is massive on me and its on the tightest hook. Before I was pg I measured 30 under bust but they add on 4 inches so measured me as a 34, but told me I "looked like a 32" Hmm

spooble · 14/07/2015 18:54

Poe I didn't change my name on marriage and I sometimes get cheques in my married name - just take your marriage certificate to the bank and they should cash it - it will be way less effort than getting through to HRMC!

I'm after some bra advice from those of you who have already been through this pregnancy malarky. My current pre-pregnancy bras are still fitting as I've only gone up a cup size, they're a bit tight round the ribs so I've just bought some back extenders. Are my boobs likely to keep getting bigger throughout pregnancy, or mainly when my milk comes in? I don't want to end up buying loads of bras that I'll only wear for a few weeks so trying to get an idea of how much things are going to change!

kep1979 · 14/07/2015 19:03

spooble my boobs carried on growing all the way through and then even more after baby due to milk coming in. So I did end up with loads of bras unfortunately. This time i have just bought a coupe of hot milk sleep bras as they are supportive but give more growing room than a conventional bra. But still am on size number two. My boobs were a 32D and now are a 36DD so grown 5 inches already - i am expecting to have to buy at least another two sizes before baby - i got to a 36F last time.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 19:17

Spooble I bought bigger bras at 8 weeks and then another one at 12 weeks....after that I don't know, it's unworn territory for me.

Have had a run in with our neighbours that's left me really upset and shaking. Basically we're having our driveway done and there's a manky old hedge that's really unkempt that we (and they) thought was in their garden, however now we've taken the old fence (which was pushed out of it's bases by the hedge) down, it's clear that most of the hedge was actually planted on our side but has grown over to theirs. Tried to have a rational conversation with them about us removing the hedge so we could install our new fence, and paying for a new hedge on their side if they wanted one. They got all defensive and het up and demanding it be left intact and threatening to get their solicitors etc. I stayed calm and tried to be really reasonable but they really upset me and once I came in I had a massive cry and now I've calmed down I'm just shaking.

The world's gone mad.

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 19:49

Here's my little one. I can't see where the nub is I'm only going by skull theory. I think it's a girl.

Jan 2016 #6 ....bumps and blooming ahoy!
mrschatty · 14/07/2015 20:12

mrschatty · 14/07/2015 20:13

loveulotslikejellytots · 14/07/2015 20:18

Lookingforadvice123 - I'm due the same day as you and I haven't even got a date through for my 20 week scan. I have got my 16 week appointment next week so I'll check with my midwife. When I had my booking in at 11 weeks I hadn't had a scan date through and the midwife just gave me the number to book it myself. I have a feeling i'm one of those people that just gets missed because ive heard nothing from the 12 week scan and bloods about the risk levels etc.

The house isn't in a bad state at all. Roof is fine, windows are fine, did our bathroom last winter. We could do with a new front door and a new back door, the quote for them alone was £1500. I just like having a bit of a safety net there thats all, where as DH is more of a 'You only live once - spend it - enjoy it type of person!

SleepyDragon · 14/07/2015 20:23

I'm loathe to buy any new bras at the mo, I'm a 38G naturally anyway and my bras are just starting to get tight round the band. However the bras I will need in increasing sizes will cost a chuffing fortune (my cheapest 'normal' bra is £28) and I'm dreading buying non underwired bras, my boobs will be down by my knees!

loveulotslikejellytots · 14/07/2015 20:27

Sleepy, i'm a 36 G and i've bought a couple of bras from ASDA. They are called soft and comfy. They're like soft sports bras. So comfy! Kind of enough pressure to keep them secure without being uncomfy, i've even got 2 for sleeping in.

Wynsey · 14/07/2015 20:30

Loveulots - id go with holiday and save. It's hard to stick to a budget thought Wink
Edgar - I agree with the rest - I get cheques in my maiden name and the bank cash it no bother - it must show on my account.
MrsFaz - I know!!!! I bought them and they are amazing!! I bought 2 pairs Grin
Just bought myself an Asda pizza and a Cadburys chocolate cake!!! But have made nice salads for the rest of the week!!! And surprisingly I have not lost weight - something I thought was SURE to happen since its been 8 weeks with no alcohol!!!! big sigh
I can see how this "I'm pregnant and have a belly so I'll just eat what I want" thing happens!!! Xx

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 20:38

I never understand it. I'll be shocked if it's a girl

AlohaMama · 14/07/2015 20:38

I bought myself new bras only a few weeks ago, but they feel too small now. Made a mistake and got wired, which is of course fine for now, but at least if I'd got non-wired they might fit at some point post-baby, whereas if I'm BFing I won't be able to wear wired. I got M&S and thought the sizing was spot on, though that was measuring myself and using their online tool. I think their online advice follows the new bra measuring convention whereas it seems lots of staff in store are still using the old method. Anyway will have to get to the shops and buy next size up....
