Oh fisher, big hug to you! Must be so confusing having consultants scratch their heads! At least you had another great scan and your Harmony results will be with you soon. I can understand your worry though so just want you to know that we're here to listen and provide support! X

Sorry to hear about waiting game brickie but home will be the best place for you to relax. X

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 11:05

Fishers I have my fingers crossed too. It does all sound odd. Maybe you're cooking up a superbean. Hope it's ok and harmony results are normal.

Valancy I seem to get about 1-2 good days and then 2-3 sick days. Hoping that switches round soon! At least I'm able to eat some fruit and veg now, I thought I was going to turn into one big carb Grin

MissMartin10 · 14/07/2015 11:13

fisher my fx are crossed for you too, and that you tests all come back showing lowrisks .. must be so worrying & confussing Thanks x

By the way, when you enter a new EDD can you make sure the year is right? (It defaults to 2015).

TeenieDeenie · 14/07/2015 11:43

Fisher I'm sorry that you are still worried and they don't have any answers for you. FX everything will work out and your harmony results give you some answers.

Melon yay We are now EDD buddies Smile

A little update from me. Scan yesterday went well, apart from almost having a full blown panic attack and finding it very hard to breathe right before the sonographer started. That soon subsided though when we saw our little bean is doing away fine waving, kicking and doing forward rolls Smile He/she would not do what the sonographer wanted resulting in us getting a slightly longer scan than normal I think. NT measurement 1.9mm which they said was low and we also got a little surprise that I was in fact a week further on than I thought measuring 12+4 and now share a due date with quite a few of the ladies on here of the 21st January. All-in-all a really successful experience and the staff couldn't have been nicer.

fishermanswife1 · 14/07/2015 11:48

Lovely scan news teenie and melon x

melonface · 14/07/2015 11:52

Lovely news teenie! My sonographer was very kind and I told her how anxious I was after my miscarriage last year and she prodded my tummy straight away to show me baby was there and we'll. They've lost my hospital notes though which annoys me especially as I used to be a manager in the records department! It's all gone to pot clearly.

Brickie how are you?

stupidgirl45 · 14/07/2015 11:56

Brickie how stressful for you, hope everything will be okay x

Fisher that sounds worrying for you but hope you get some answers soon

Valancy and Blackandwhite I have had hideous hideous nausea/unable to eat from wks 5-8 and then it got better but last few days have been hard. I hit 13wks tomorrow so fx it'll ease off again. I remember last time, with each hormone surge, I'd feel a bit shitter again and then it would ease....I've been off sick with nausea and depression since 7wks and due back at 15wks....i feel so guilty about it all.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 12:00

Ah hormone surges, that would explain it. Thanks sg.

Teenie hurrah for your scan news! Sounds like you have a roper little gymnast in there Smile

kep1979 · 14/07/2015 12:08

brickie still thinking of you, and hoping that everything subsides and that you and bean are OK. Sending un mumsnetty hugs!

fisher sorry you are still getting no answers, hoping that your harmony results arrive soon and you can get some peace of mind.

Great news on the scans melon and teenie

I had good news this morning - my son's secondary school appeal was successful Grin I am very proud of myself as I had to do it on my own yesterday - and very excited to tell him later today.

nicnicspicnic · 14/07/2015 12:43

Congrats kep on your school appeal. I know how stressful that must have been. Especially with all those emotional pregnancy hormones swirling around!

Romeolovesjuliet · 14/07/2015 13:04

Keeping fisher and brickie in my thoughts and hoping for positive outcomes. Brickie, are you due to go abroad? Probably completely obvious but if so, do check with your travel insurance that you are covered just in case you need to see anyone whilst you are away (really hope that's not the case though).
Great news on the scans teenie and melon. Melon that's so lovely of the sonographer - I have to say when we had our private one I told the sonographer how anxious I was after the mmc and she was really kind and even put the scan into 4d and gave us some bonus pictures. Makes all the difference when people acknowledge your feelings.

MissMartin10 · 14/07/2015 13:05

doctor has signed me off again.. I've been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum he also gave me a prescription for alginate to help with my stomach pain Smile

ValancyJane · 14/07/2015 13:15

fisher That sounds really stressful, I'm glad the consultants are keeping an eye on it though. Fingers crossed for you and baby.

black Good work on the fruit and veg, I'm all about the carbs still, it's bread, pasta and potatoes all the way. Though I had some strawberries last night, doused in cream and sugar. Does that count?! Wink

teenie and melon Congratulations - we're due date buddies! Though mine might get adjusted tomorrow...

sg Yeah I read somewhere else about the hormone surges, it made sense to me earlier on when I would have a few good days and then a few crap days, but seems more odd now when I had a week without being sick and now it's back again! Oh well, knowing me I'd be panicking more if I wasn't feeling well! Don't feel bad about being signed off, it sounds like you've had a rough time. I'm pretty sure if my morning sickness hadn't coincided with my Year 11 and Year 13 classes going and getting a bit more free time on my timetable I'd have had to be signed off for a bit - it's been hellish even when I'm only working a part-timetable!

kep Congrats on the school appeal that is good news Smile

You know, I only ever manage to keep up with this thread when I'm off work sick!!

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 13:16

What's the status sheet about? First time seeing it haha.

And I was wondering if you ladies could help me.

I'm a daddies little girl (eventhough I'm 21) I still live with mum and dad cause me and OH can't afford to move out and there's no houses big enough for me him and the little one. Anyway I'm worried about telling him and scared incase he'll go mad. People keep saying your his daughter he won't be mad, but my dad is so proud of me it's just something I don't want him hating me for.

Any advice?

BeeMyBaby · 14/07/2015 13:59

tiny well I'm 28 and still live with my parents (DH has been studying/unemployed for the majority of our marriage so can't afford to rent and this allows us to save for a deposit). My route was to tell my mother and she has always told my father (I became pregnant with DD1 when I was 22), do you think that would work?

BeeMyBaby · 14/07/2015 14:02

And whoever was asking about the bra, don't trust M&S as they measure two band sizes too big, just measure yourself as its easy and try a couple on in the shop. Mumsnet was very helpful and forum members directed me to this website.

crumble74 · 14/07/2015 14:16

b&w I had 2 pains au chocolate last week!!

Good news about scan teenie.

Well done on the secondary school appeal kep, I am worried about that type of stuff already, even though DS is only 12 months.

tinyme135 · 14/07/2015 14:38

bee I normally do that but the last time I got mum to tell him I was going on holiday he flipped I didn't tell him myself haha. So if he flipped at that then I wonder how he would if my mum told him this lol x
