Brickie u have to put yourself first for once. Yoir kids won't understand but I'm sure they want mummy to be ok. Sending flowers and hugs xxx

Romeolovesjuliet · 14/07/2015 07:21

Brickie I'm glad to hear there hasn't been any increase in bleeding overnight. Hopefully that is a positive sign. It's so hard having to leave your kids - I will never forget my children's faces when they had to leave me in hospital during my mc in January - I know it is heartbreaking but they will be ok. And don't add extra pressure to yourself by worrying about the holiday - what will be will be Flowers

Oysterbabe · 14/07/2015 08:07

Thinking of youbrickie, really hoping for a positive outcome.

Any scans today?

crumble74 · 14/07/2015 08:12

Really feel for you brickie, I hope your DC can come & see you soon and best wishes for a positive outcome Flowers

fishermanswife1 · 14/07/2015 08:15

Just seeing your posts brickie. I'm so sorry you're going through this. As others have said, really hoping the decrease in bleeding over night is a good sign. As tough as it is, try not to think about Friday yet. Take one day at a time and try to rest. Thinking of you x

melonface · 14/07/2015 08:31

oyster my scan is in an hour. I'm actually shaking I'm so terrified Confused I wish I could enjoy this but I keep replaying the bad news I got last year

Oysterbabe · 14/07/2015 08:47

Good luck melon !!
Mine is in 6 days and equally terrified.

ValancyJane · 14/07/2015 08:48

brickie I'm glad the bleeding has eased at least. Fingers crossed it's only a partial. Is there a point after which they'll deem it only a partial abruption? Can't imagine how hard it must be with the children at home too - you know you have to put yourself and the baby first right now though. Flowers

melon Good luck, I'm sure all will be well. I understand though, mine's tomorrow and I'm nervous.

Off sick today AGAIN - I think this is my fifth day with morning sickness. Clearly my hormones haven't got the memo that they're meant to ease up around week 12... I'll be 13 weeks on Thursday and the last few days have been as bad as week 8!

mrschatty · 14/07/2015 08:49

brickie FX- keep us updated.
melon good luck let us know how the scan goes!
After a burst of energy yesterday today I'm really struggling to get out of bed...glad I don't start work till 10.30 but wish I could sleep all day!!!!

mrschatty · 14/07/2015 08:50

valancy same thing happened to me- the last few days of week 12 I was being really sick that was on my holiday. Once 13w arrived it's really eased up

frozenfairy123 · 14/07/2015 08:51

Good luck Melon!
Mrschatty im the same! Impressed with my energy yesterday but wacked today. X

crumble74 · 14/07/2015 08:52

Good luck today melon, I've been there! After my mmc I had scan fear every time but once I could feel the baby move things got less tense - I know that feels like ages away!

ValancyJane · 14/07/2015 09:04

mrs That's reassuring, hopefully on Thursday I will wake up feeling like a new woman then!! I was talking to my line manager about it yesterday, and he said his wife's morning sickness and tiredness went on throughout both her pregnancies - that scared me a bit!

MissMartin10 · 14/07/2015 09:15

brickie I'm thinking of you xx

Off work again! been in this morning and came back home.. dr appt at 11.30am hopefully i can get another sick note.. cz im rough.. i seem to be getting worse I've been sick everyday bar 5 since i was 4.5 weeks..

Goodluck with scans ladies xx

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 09:17

I'm 14 weeks Valancy and just had two more sickie days. They are getting more spread out though (at least that's what I'm telling myself).

Fingers crossed for you Brickie, try not to put any extra pressure on yourself. Your DC will ok and they will understand that Mummy is ill xxx

EdgarAllenPoe · 14/07/2015 09:32

Hoping things go well for you today brickie and for all those getting scans soon.

To looking about your M&S bra fitting, if you've gone from a 32C to a 36C, that does in fact show your boobs have grown. The Cup size isn't a set size, rather a +however many inches on the band size. So if a C cup is +2 (or so) inches of the band size, then you've gone from being 34 round the bust to 38 round the bust. Definite growth! Hope that made sense!

SleepyDragon · 14/07/2015 09:47

Hi all

Brickie only just reading last nights messages etc, i am so sorry, fingers are tightly crossed for you and your bubba!

i'm feeling a tad more active today, don't feel as shattered as yesterday so i'm clearly getting over the 5K lol.

Todays words of wisdom from 'those who know better': Never eat a McDonalds whilst you are pregnant......

brickiemum2 · 14/07/2015 09:52

Doctors have just been. I've to go home and wait it out. Basically what will be will be. If I start passing fresh red blood again I've to come straight back as it will have progressed to a miscarriage. They also said just to go on holiday if nothing happens before Friday as what ever is going to happen will happen no matter where I am. They can't give any indication of the likely outcome.

OP posts:
ValancyJane · 14/07/2015 09:52

black Yeah actually mine's the same - I think I've actually done two full weeks since the last one, so that's something! There was a lady at work who had three months off with pregnancy related issues and has only just come back, so when I feel guilty I think 'at least I've not had months off'. (Not a dig at her at all - I know she has genuinely struggled, and after a string of miscarriages I think she's been smart to put herself first).

Turns out my sick day won't be as restful as I hoped, found out this morning my poor darling cat has fleas! So instead today will be laundry, hoovering, and then a trip to the vet for supplies after which I plan to wage bloody WAR on the beasts!! (I also plan to give the cat some guilt tuna, as everything has slipped so much in the last two months with feeling so crap, I did forget his flea drops about a month ago, poor poppet. He will forgive me after tun!)

Blackandwhitecat3 · 14/07/2015 09:57

Brickie at least you will be back with your family. Make sure you take it easy. Hope that's it with the bleeding Brew

ValancyJane · 14/07/2015 10:03

brickie Huge hugs - I am crossing everything that baby is staying well and truly put and that it's just been a horrible scare. black is right, at least you'll be back with the children, which I know will probably make you and them feel better. Definitely rest up and look after yourself!!

TeenieDeenie · 14/07/2015 10:09

Brickie glad to hear the bleeding has subsided and really hope that's a positive sign. It'll be good to get home to your family and get some rest. Fingers still tightly crossed for you. x

MissMartin10 · 14/07/2015 10:12

take care Brickie go home..see your family and have a good rest, Hopefully that's it now with the bleeding! like others have said fingers are well and truly crossed for you xx

fishermanswife1 · 14/07/2015 10:22

Sorry to those feeling sick still. I generally felt better after the week 13 barrier was over come.
Feeling a bit queasy today, but think that's more nerves and worry. Saw a specialist about my high hcg yesterday. Apparently it's not twice or even four times higher than it should be its 49 times higher! And they are all baffled. That is now two hospitals that have said it's the highest on their record and no one can tell me why as placenta appears to be normal. They said they wouldn't panic re Downs yet as its just the one factor, although harmony test is a good idea due to higher risk. But they are going to have to keep close eye on baby's growth, organ development and the placenta. Bean looked fine, heart strong, bladder, stomach and kidneys all visible and fine. Measuring about right. Which is great! But felt like it had them scratching their heads even more. Now feeling on the edge waiting for Harmony phone call and next consultant appointment.
I think it doesn't help my nerves that this sounds really familiar to something that happened to my mum. Along with two mcs at 12 weeks, she also had one pregnancy with questionable hormone results like this at this stage and ended up having a mmc at 20 weeks, so drs do wonder if perhaps there is something genetic going on there. Sorry for long post, just trying to get my head around it, and just trying to foocus on that lovely image of my little bean, currently oblivious to the worry! That's the main thing

fishermanswife1 · 14/07/2015 10:24

Sorry, cross posting!
Big hugs brickie, everything crossed for you. You must be so worried at at least you'rewith your family and I really hope all is ok. X look after yourself
