Afternoon all. Got my first real look at my jelly baby today! :) 10+3, seems so surreal seeing it on the screen!

Gosh stocking, what a terrible time you're having, seems like you have some lovely friends and family around you for support but vent away on here if you need to, lots of love and support here Flowers xx

rallytog1 · 07/07/2015 14:23

Ah, congrats jelly. It's an unbelievably lovely sight, isn't it? Smile

Rufus Debenhams do really good 'secret support' sleep vests which I've found really helpful. They were about £9 in the sale recently.

ATrueNerd · 07/07/2015 14:27

That's great jelly!

My scan is Thursday morning, less than 48 hours to go.. I should be 7+3.. Fingers crossed. I had a go with my doppler yesterday, didn't find heart beat, I know it was very unlikely this early but I heart the blood flow going to womb and what I think is the placenta...

RattyCatty · 07/07/2015 14:30

That's a lovely pic jelly

birdbrain21 · 07/07/2015 15:38

Boobear1983 · 07/07/2015 16:14

Lovely pic jelly!

stocking stay strong.

And hello to all the new people

AbFab86 · 07/07/2015 16:53

That's a great photo jelly! Was it a transabdominal scan?

Has anyone else had a transabdominal scan at 9 weeks and got a clear(ish) image from it? I've booked in at a high street place when I'll be 9+2. I've inly had transvaginal ones so far so not sure what they'll be able to see at that stage.

clumsypots · 07/07/2015 17:46

Fab pic jelly!

I am so sorry stocking glad you have support in RL as well as on here.
my boss told me I look pregnant today Blush

jellypi3 · 07/07/2015 17:52

Yep abdominal scan :)

HerewegoagainRound4 · 07/07/2015 18:14

AbFab I had abdo scan at 9 weeks last time. Clear as anything.

Mirabal · 07/07/2015 19:18

sorry to those puking. I am miserable with it. overreaction have tried lots of meds, cyclizine, metoclopramide, phenergan and stemetil- still on last two. Seems to keep me down to three pukes a day but the nausea is unrelenting and I gag and retch at even thinking of eating, but if I don't it's a sure route to more pukes - grim. There is so much food in this house that I have once and it almost bearable then cannot touch again, we're wasting so much money.

Lovely scan pic jelly and good luck to others having scans coming up

goneswimming · 07/07/2015 19:18

So I saw the doctor last week and he said because of the mc last time we he'd like me to see the midwife early and get an early scan, and booked me in to see her yesterday. An hour before the appointment she rang to say she was finishing work now and didn't want to see me because it's too early, and she won't refer me for an early scan because she sees no reason to. Which is fine, but a) very disappointing, b) a bit short notice, and c) looks disturbingly like the left hand never speaks to the right.
I was quite upset, so today we took the plunge and have booked a private early scan for next week (8weeks). I think I'll go mad if I had to wait four weeks more!

RattyCatty · 07/07/2015 19:41

I don't know how you ladies who are vomiting are coping. I just burst into tears when DH came home as feel almost dizzy with tiredness. Is anyone else crying sometimes or am I loony?!

Littleoakhorn · 07/07/2015 20:00

Ratty I'm already in bed (so tired!) and I've been really daft and hormotional for weeks.

ATrueNerd · 07/07/2015 20:10

DD kicked me hard in the lower stomach today, something else to worry about now!

AbFab86 · 07/07/2015 20:34

Thanks jelly and herewego, excited now!

cremedecacao · 07/07/2015 20:39

Ratty- I cried the other day because there was no carrot cake. I never even buy carrot cake. I cry a lot now!

Boobear1983 · 07/07/2015 20:43

ab i got a really clear image at 9 weeks with an abdominal scan. Heard the heartbeat too, and saw legs wiggling!

NoMontagues · 07/07/2015 21:06

ratty I had a massive crying fest on Sat, I don't know what came over me but I just started sobbing and didn't stop for about 45 mins Confused

Then I had a hideous headache from dehydration which I couldn't shake off all night, no matter how much water I drank.

Pagerty · 07/07/2015 21:11

That is a lovely pic jelly Smile

Stocking, I am so sorry that you are going through such a horrid time. I am pleased to see you have support around you. Stay strong.

Hello to all the new people who have recently joined us.

Swimming I discovered that the right hand fails to talk to the left hand in a lot during my last pregnancy. An ovarian cyst was discovered during a private scan (2days after my 12 week NHS one I should add where they noted that my ovaries were seen and were fine, but that is a different story) and my consultant said I should have a scan every 4 weeks to monitor it. He booked my appointment there and then but when I turned up for it, the scanning department had cancelled it (without telling me) deeming it a gyni problem rather than a obstetric issue. They refused to follow the consultants advice so I had to get a new appointment in a different department. That came through for the day before my 20 week scan. Two long trips to hospital, 2 days off work, extortionate parking, petrol etc all because each department refused to work with the other. So frustrating and that was the last scan I got for that as they couldn't get me another appointment until past my due date!

In other news, I got my scan date through for 28th July, I will be 12+6. It seems ages away. Is anyone thinking of doing the Harmony test? It's so expensive but could save invasive testing if the standard tests come back unfavourable.

Hope all those feeling so unwell soon start to feel better. You all have my full sympathy x

RattyCatty · 07/07/2015 21:30

Glad to know I'm not the only one crying. A Thai green curry and about a kg of rice helped.

pagerty my NHS 12 week/nuchal scan (I think I'll actually be 13+1 though) is on the 28th too!

RhiPea · 07/07/2015 21:35

Does anybody else feel completely un pregnant? I'm 8+1- no nausea, vomiting, soreness or tiredness! I guess I should be thankful, but it's a bit weird, no?

goldmaple · 07/07/2015 21:36

Nice scan pic jelly

ratty I am very emotional too! Everything makes me cry! And I've been feeling so sick that even getting up or dressed feels like a daunting task.

nerd my DC have both jumped on my bump once too... I'm hoping the baby is just really well cushioned.

Can any mums out there with 3 DC reassure me that #3 is a good idea? I know it's just being sick and tired but I can't help but worry that plane travel and hotel rentals will now be hard (we don't even travel much... But these seem like big things right now!!)

Tiredoftiredness · 07/07/2015 21:46

Rhi I was exactly like that last time, was convinced I'd dreamt the positive pg tests until my 12 week scan! Completely different this time though, try and count yourself lucky - you never know when symptoms may kick in!

I feel very anti-emotional at the moment, very odd, things that would normally upset me are having no impact and I don't see to have any emotion atm - no sad/scared/happy, can't even get excited about anything. Finding it very strange!
